Guest Redhawk Report post Posted August 4, 2004 Of course, none of of WANTS to see anyone suffer a career-ending injury, but just for kicks, who's on your list? Warren Sapp Roger Clemens Lennox Lewis

Steviekick 0 Report post Posted August 4, 2004 I'd second the Kobe nomination. Jason Kidd. I'd also lilke to see it happen to Tony Parker, the man primarily responsible for my Spurs hate.

nl5xsk1 0 Report post Posted August 4, 2004 I believe too strongly in karma, so won't go as far as to say "I hope so-and-so has a career ending injury" but there are a ton of people that I wish would just retire and then disappear from the public eye ... A lot of my choices have already been mentioned (Sapp, Favre, Clemens, Kobe) but others include: The Manning family (including old man Archie) Giambi, but the parasite can stay Pedro Bonds
Black Lushus 0 Report post Posted August 4, 2004 Kellen Winslow II-fucking take the money and quit being a bitch p.s. i haven't checked any sports info since last night, so he may have signed since then...
nl5xsk1 0 Report post Posted August 4, 2004 Fucking A, Lushus, good call ... I'm wicked pissed that I forgot him. Turning down a contract that would have made him the highest paid tight end is a fucking joke. He's someone that can get injured ... but not in a game, I want it to happen randomly and BEFORE he signs his contract. Good luck in the real world, jackass. I hear ya. So with that in mind... - Chris Chelios - Tie Domi - Bonds - Clemens - Rickey - Venus Williams (because I like Serena's play) - Mike Tyson - Kobe - Iverson - Terrell Owens - Warren Sapp - Kurt Warner - Eli Manning (you know, I really need to trade Tiki Barber in my keeper league...) - Anna Kournikova (hey, with Sharapova around, who needs her?) - Tony Twist (you were a goon, not some goal scoring angel. McFarlane cost you nothing, and probably gave you more publicity than you deserve. Deal with it) - Don Cherry (not an athlete, but, GO AWAY, GRAPES) - d also like Brett Hull to retire, but not to disappear. I want him to replace Cherry on HNIC... sfaJack 0 Report post Posted August 4, 2004 Craig Biggio (whiny bitch) Adam Everett (just because I'm sick of the constant blowjobs he gets here) Iverson Lebron James And then your "standard" guys: Sapp Kobe Terrell Owens On the other hand, I don't really mind Bonds and I do not understand the Clemens hate at all. Guest Staravenger Report post Posted August 4, 2004 I do not understand the Clemens hate at all. Talk to any Boston fan. Or (to a lesser degree) any Toronto fan. Or crybaby Yankee fans. I can understand the Red Sox fans hating him, but not for BJays and Yanks fans. Here's my list... Venus & Serena Williams 7x over Kobe Bryant Shaquille "I can't shoot for shit" O'Neal Randy Johnson Curt Schilling Pedro Martinez Danny Williams Felix Heredia And probably a lot more, but only MLB players stick in my head. sfaJack 0 Report post Posted August 4, 2004 Oh, I know the whole "Clemens betrayed us!" angle to it, but I just don't understand why they hate him for it. Wasn't Duquette the one that ran Clemens out of Boston? And why would Toronto fans be pissed? He won the Cy Young both years he pitched for you on what were two pretty average teams. I guess my not being a fan of either Boston or Toronto lets me look at it through unbiased eyes and the fact that I love Clemens's drive to win and his take-no-shit-from-anyone attitude keeps me from ever hating the guy. Unless he were to knock the Cubs out of the playoffs or something...then it'd be on.

treble 0 Report post Posted August 4, 2004 And why would Toronto fans be pissed? He won the Cy Young both years he pitched for you on what were two pretty average teams. I don't hate Clemens as much as I did about 3 or 4 years ago, but I'll give you my reasons as to why I thought he was the scum of the earth back then. The Jays won 88 games in '98 and finished only 4 games behind the Red Sox for the Wild Card. Then, Clemens exercises this stupid clause that he had put into his contract and demands a trade and the main player they get back in return is someone who really doesn't want to be there (Wells). It's even more frustrating when you think that he had 2 of the best back-to-back seasons a pitcher has had in recent memory and the team has nothing to show for it in terms of results on the field or players in return (Graeme Lloyd left as a free agent, Homer Bush was cut a few seasons later, and there was the whole fiasco with the David Wells to Chicago trade). That being said, I don't really have any athletes that I'd wish career ending injuries on, but there are a few who if they had one I would probably get a chuckle out of it. nl5xsk1 0 Report post Posted August 4, 2004 Oh, I know the whole "Clemens betrayed us!" angle to it, but I just don't understand why they hate him for it. Wasn't Duquette the one that ran Clemens out of Boston? Clemens allowed himself to fall terribly out of shape, and his pitching suffered as a result. So, the Red Sox brass thought that he was on the downside of his career and then let him leave. And then he gets back in great shape and pitches like he's 5-10 years younger. It's like having a girlfriend that stops dressing up or wearing make-up or caring about her appearance, so you break up with her. And then she starts dating your neighbor but is looking her best again, and seems to be going out of her way to look her very best. Even though it was you that ended it, it still pisses you off. the max 0 Report post Posted August 4, 2004 And, to add onto that, when he went to Toronto, he basically ignored the fans that had supported him for all those years because of his grudge against Red Sox management. To put that in comparison: When Drew Bledsoe was traded to the Bills, he took out two pages in, I think it was the Globe, but anyway, a Boston newspaper to thank fans for supporting him throughout the years. 2GOLD 0 Report post Posted August 4, 2004 I don't want his career over but I want Ray Lewis to knock TO knock for the season with a shot that would sound like thunder. I have no respect for Owens and if any team in the NFL deserves the chance to level him it's the Baltimore Ravens. But career ending? No way, that's just too damn harsh. nl5xsk1 0 Report post Posted August 4, 2004 I don't want his career over but I want Ray Lewis to knock TO knock for the season with a shot that would sound like thunder. I'd rather have Lewis disappear than TO. If I had a dollar for everytime I had to sit there and listen to an announcer verbally fellate Lewis, I could retire today. The man is very, very good, no doubt about it. But to compare him to LT or Singletary is a joke.
