Michrome 0 Report post Posted August 20, 2004 I can't really think of a single big match, so I'll go with Jeff Jarrett vs. Jeff Hardy in a Ladder match for the title, to try to get some buys out of Hardy with a ladder.
The Ghost of bps21 0 Report post Posted August 20, 2004 I'll agree just because they don't have any heavyweight title contenders left...and Monty Brown isn't Main Eventing. They could always come up with another gimmick and throw multiple people in...but there really isn't anyone worth much left in the heavyweight division. Guest Staravenger Report post Posted August 20, 2004 This goes against what should happen for the company, but they should attempt to bring in a big named ringer. Savage, Hogan, Austin, anyone with name value that older fans can recognize and most newer fans don't hate. Jeff Jarrett vs. Ron Killings would be cool though if it's two regulars. Killings was the first star TNA made, and they should give him the main event slot on their first big PPV.
Mecha Mummy 0 Report post Posted August 20, 2004 Jarrett vs. Hardy in a Ladder match is a good idea, but I kind of think they're going to see if lightning can strike twice and book Jarrett vs. Raven.
Guest Staravenger Report post Posted August 20, 2004 I hope lightning doesn't strike twice for the results....Jarrett no selling the interference of about 8 men and winning the match. Then the crowd just backfires and tosses crap in the ring while Borash begs them to stop. Actually, that last part WAS entertaining. Raven should've won dammit! Zack Malibu 0 Report post Posted August 20, 2004 Hell, why not pick the whole card...may as well. I'll agree on JJ/JH in a Ladder Match for the belt, although I'm thinking Hardy wins it on 9/8 and they set JJ up in "Hardy's specialty" for 11/7. Then, of course, JJ wins to try to further himself, much to our dismay. This card is also going by current stars, and not "what ifs" of if Spanky, Kanyon, etc. showed up. 11/7 Card, my thoughts, give or take a few matches: Jeff Hardy © vs. Jeff Jarrett in a Ladder Match for the NWA World Heavyweight Title Triple X vs. Michael Shane/Frankie Kazarian for the NWA World Tag Team Titles Raven vs. Monty Brown in some type of hardcore stipulation match. I think Brown will be a babyface by then. Petey Williams vs. AJ Styles for the X Title Ron "The Truth" Killings vs. Kid Kash Abyss vs. Alex Shelley America's Most Wanted vs. Konnan and BG James Sonjay Dutt/Chris Sabin vs. Psychosis and LA Park
USC Wuz Robbed! 0 Report post Posted August 20, 2004 I think it'll be Jarrett vs Raven for the title, Styles vs Daniels in the final match of that Best of 7 series they wanted to do, and yeah... that's what I think the top two matches will be.
Guest The Decadent Slacker Report post Posted August 21, 2004 As much as i would love to see them bring in a Hogan or someone come in to legitimize them, i agree with Hardy/Jarrett, with Jarrett/Raven as a close second (i could SO see them using a Hardy/Sabu ladder match as a special attraction). Maybe some multi person thing, but i doubt it.

Guest Staravenger Report post Posted August 21, 2004 I do hope they go Raven/Jarrett with Raven fulfilling his destiny. Only problem is one of them has to turn, unless they want to do a Triple Threat, which would suck unless they have some serious star power, and don't try and put Chris F'N Harris back into the main event scene. Guest Marty2Hotty Report post Posted August 21, 2004 Press Release: ONE YEAR LATER: Last year in October 2003, Somebody was attacked in Japan by Jeff Jarrett. November 2003 PPV Bound For Glory was cancelled. One year later, things started heating up again, as Total Nonstop Action Wrestling announces their switch to monthly pay per views. And starting November 7, 2004, the main event of the century will be: - JEFF JARRETT © VS. 'HOLLYWOOD' HULK HOGAN! . . . . . . . . . . . . How's that for a main event! Corey_Lazarus 0 Report post Posted August 21, 2004 I'd like to see a TRUE blowoff to Lynn/Styles. Sorry, but the blowoff itself was a match that was too disappointing, and they just had another match two weeks later, and the feud ended with a feud between Lynn and Siaki and a feud between Styles and Jarrett erupting. They can move ahead right after Styles/Kash ends. Have Williams lose to Lynn and lose his X-Division title, CLEANLY, and then Lynn runs into AJ, and they talk about the matches they had that made TNA a name. They convince each other to see if they "still got it in them," and sign the match for 11/7. Of course, along the way, Lynn realizes he may be too old to keep up with Styles, as he loses embarassingly in a tag bout w/ Sabin against Styles and (insert random X-Division face, possibly Red). So Lynn decides to take it to AJ, and attacks him the next week. They feud with neither one as the heel or the face, but both as tweeners. AJ gets his meanstreak back that he had as a heel, and Lynn gets a meanstreak. The two beat each other bloody during the final tag bout before 11/7 (maybe make it so that Russo says the two will not meet one-on-one before 11/7), causing a no contest as their partners just stare in awe. Hype video before the match, give 'em 20 minutes, and let 'em go ALL-OUT (which means DUTCH MANTEL SHOULD NOT TOUCH THIS FEUD, NOR SHOULD JEFF JARRETT). The end comes cleanly when Styles Pele's Lynn off of the top rope and into the ring, and then SPIRAL TAP, 1-2-3.
Guest Marty2Hotty Report post Posted August 21, 2004 King of the Mountain II Jeff Hardy © vs. Jeff Jarrett vs. Monty Brown vs. AJ Styles vs. Ron Killings vs. Kid Kash. That's what I could see happening for TNA Victory Road. King of the Mountain II would be sweet! That was probably one of the coolest matches TNA has had so far? How about a "Queen of the Mountain".... They should bring in Midajah, Major Gunns, Kimberly Page, etc... I'm not looking for the best 'wrestling match' either... For entertainment's sakes! What happened to the 'big names' Jeff Jarrett hinted that was coming to TNA? Macho Man, Outsiders, Hogan? Maybe there could be some big names appearing at Victory Road! It wouldn't make sense not to. Guest Donners Report post Posted August 22, 2004 I'm going for Jeff Jarrett vs. Monte Brown. Brown's being hanging around the fringes of the title picture for a while, and it's a genuinely hard match to predict the result of.

Robert 0 Report post Posted August 22, 2004 My card: Jeff Jarret vs Raven: NWA Title Match in some weird gimmick match. Raven finally wins the belt, making him ther top star in TNA. Have it be a cage or Clockwork Orange match. Raven finally turns heel, leading a stable of top heels. Monty Brown vs AJ Styles Just seeing the way AJ sold The Pounce got me hooked on a possible Brown/Styles feud. Have Style's win it, and start a feud with the champ. The Naturals vs XXX vs AMW Could produce some great spots. Considering that there's six of them, it could become a clusterfuck also. Have XXX win the belts with help of a returning Low Ki Jeff Hardy and Ron Killings vs Kid Kash and Dallas This would evolve from the six man, and Kash/Dallas costs Hardy the belt. Hardy joins up with Killings, and have them win. Abyss vs Alex Shelly Just continue to build off the current angle. Shelly wins via screwjob, and Abyss turns face. X-Division Title Match Ultimate X Match. Petey Williams vs Sabin vs Kazarian vs Shane vs Spanky (if he shows up) Could be a great match. Have Spanky debut out of nowhere, and win the match. Williams would probably try to bust out a Canadian Destroyer from the wires, but he would probably botch it. 3 Live Kru vs The Other Two Team Canada members. Filler match, with Team Canada going over. Just have it open the show and let it just go about three minutes.
Guest Staravenger Report post Posted August 22, 2004 Raven is already a heel, unless I was mislead by his feud with Sonjay Dutt & Sabu which has been going on for a century it seems.
Corey_Lazarus 0 Report post Posted August 22, 2004 My card would be... NWA World title Jeff Jarrett © vs. Raven - No Disqualifications, Anybody That Interferes Is Fired Raven ends the feud with Sabu, and decides that it's still his destiny to become NWA World champion. Jarrett is heel, and Raven is a tweener (in the sense that he's a heel that gets face pops only, as him as a generic face, re: New Church/Gathering feud, is terrible). Match ends clean with Raven DDT'ing Jarrett through a table from the top rope after kicking out of a Stroke, and reversing a top rope Stroke attempt through a table into the aforementioned DDT. X-Division title Jerry Lynn © vs. AJ Styles Using the guidelines of the feud I set earlier in this thread, both are tweeners, with Styles reverting to his more heelish tactics only due to Lynn, and vice versa with Jerry. Match ends with Styles hitting the Spiral Tap after turning a top rope 'rana attempt into a superbomb. NWA World Tag Team titles XXX © [Daniels and Ki, if Ki is back by then] vs. America's Most Wanted They gel very well, and if given enough time, could steal the show. Ends with XXX retaining cleanly, and is hyped as the first time anybody has defeated AMW 100% cleanly, thus either continuing the current feud, or starting a new one. #1 Contendership to World title Monty Brown vs. Ron "The Truth" Killings Hard-fought battle ending with a draw. I know, sounds terrible, but really: Brown isn't ready for a World title match yet, much less a reign, and Truth still needs to be built back up. Have the bookers tell Brown to not act like a generic monster, but to vary up his offense, and just generally go all-out. Money vs. Contract Abyss (w/ Desire) vs. Alex Shelley (w/ Goldylocks) That is, of course, if this angle lasts this long, which it will cosidering Mantel's on board and he draws things out farther than they should be drawn out. Abyss is great, and I've heard nothing but good things about Shelley, so it should be damn fine. #1 Contendership to X-Division title Kid Kash vs. Chris Sabin - Dallas is banned from ringside Kash doesn't need to be built up too badly. Fans already acknowledge him as a member of the upper midcard in TNA, and rightfully so. Sabin would need some focus again, and if the two go at it, and do some "anything you can do, I can do better" spots (I don't mean INDY APPLAUSE STANCE, though, but rather a chopping contest that gets UBER-STIFF, letting out TONS of big rights, a kicking contest, etc.). Sabin wins it with the Cradle Shock after catching Kash in a flying 'rana attempt and putting him into the fireman's carry, then BAM. #1 Contendership to World Tag Team titles Team Canada (Devine and Williams) vs. 3 Live Kru (BG and Konnan) Only reason this match exists is because 3LK are over in any of their forms, as all three men are incredibly charismatic. If need be, to hide BG and Konnan's faults, make it a No DQ Tornado Tag, as BG always worked best in a "hardcore" environment. Devine is here because he's he best member of Team Canada, and Williams is second best (because Roode and Young suck bad). 7 minutes, tops, with Team Canada going over. Six-Way Elimination for #2 Contendership to X-Division title Sonjay Dutt vs. Amazing Red vs. Michael Shane vs. Frankie Kazarian vs. Slim J vs. Jason Cross Standard opener, with Red going over Kazarian in the end (and Tenay making note of how Kazarian became X-Division champion earlier in the year by defeating Red when the title was held up due to Sabin's injury). Magus 0 Report post Posted August 23, 2004 Here's mine, matches in no particular order.... 1) NWA World Title Match (No DQ): Jeff Hardy© vs. Raven Basically, Hardy wins the title from JJ, thus taking him off TV forever. But Hardy can't carry TNA, so Raven comes knocking, and wins the title from Hardy in an all-out brawl with lots of hardcore spots. 2) NWA X Division Title Match: Petey Williams© vs. Alex Shelley Shelley turns face after Abyss beats the hell out of him and Goldilocks turns against him after his first loss. Team Canada attempts to interfere, but several X Division guys like Clark, Batts, Cross, Red, and Strong come to Shelley's aid. Shelley wins the title and promises title shots for the guys who helped him even the odds, thus ushering in a new age of the X Division. 3) Abyss vs. Monty Brown Uh, this isn't for any particular reason, just to see two HOSSES go at it. Neither man is known for losing, but Brown takes the pin after Slash sprays blood in his face and Abyss hits the Black Hole Slam. Abyss gets the win, and Monty moves into a fued with Jim Mitchell and Slash. 4) Michael Shane/Kazarian vs. 3LK Shane and Kazarian could be a huge heel team, and 3LK is the perfect face team to give them some credibility. Shane hits James with a Superkick to end get the win. 5) #1 Contender Match for the NWA Tag Team Titles: Naturals vs. AMW I'd give AMW the win here, but only after the Naturals have them beat a few times already (like the xXx vs. AMW fued). AMW wins to go on and face the Tag Champs: Triple X. 6) Finals to the Triple X Tournament: Sonjay Dutt vs. Chris Sabin With Low Ki gone, Daniels and Skipper hold a tournament to decide who will be the third member of the tag team champions. Eight men competed, and its down to Dutt and Sabin, with Daniels and Skipper watching at ringside. Dutt wins, and is the new third man in xXx. His new teammates celebrate with him and Sabin shakes his hand before exiting. 7) #1 Contender Match for the NWA World Title: Ron Killings vs. D'Lo Brown vs. Jerry Lynn Simple as pie, although I wouldn't have D'Lo with some madman gimmick that I just know is going to be a ripoff of Goldust (or at least Mordecai). I'd have Lynn get the win so we could get Raven vs. Lynn (or possibly Raven/Lynn/Truth) at the next PPV. 8) Cage Match: AJ Styles vs. Kid Kash To finally settle it. Styles wins with a Spiral Tap (you guessed it) off the top of the cage. This ends and I'd move Styles back into the main event, because it needs him. Of course, TNA won't book anything NEARLY this good.
