notJames 0 Report post Posted November 9, 2004 Awesome news about the Leon Deluxe Edition. Every time I browsed through Best Buy, I'd hem and haw about picking up Leon and eventually passing up on it because of the price. Now I'm glad my frugal ways have finally paid off. That one's definitely going on my birthday list!

NoCalMike 0 Report post Posted December 3, 2004 I hate double-dipping, but damn that Leon dvd is tempting. The 10 year reunion bit and the fact track are enticing, considering how choice the fact track on the pulp fiction dvd is.

This is interesting.... but it doesn't mention anything about the film itself. Is this the theatrical american cut or does it have more? Because an "uncut international version" was released on dvd a while back with 24 extra minutes... http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detai...?v=glance&s=dvd So how does the actual film of this new Deluxe Edition compare to the "Uncut International Version"??? That is my main concern, because right now I have the uncut international version, and if this new release is just the american theatrical release, then no "extra" is going to make me want to buy it. I am guessing it is the international version though because the american version was released simply as "The Profressional"
Downhome 0 Report post Posted December 3, 2004 There is no bloody way that this ISN'T the uncut international version. It's the only version of the film I've ever seen, and I just can't imagine anyone cutting 24 minutes from it, I just can't. It's one of the few films where I can sit back and say that every single second, every frame, was worth being there. I refuse to watch any other version of the film. By the way, I can confirm that it is the uncut international version. http://dvdanswers.com/index.php?r=0&s=1&c=...26x%3D0%26y%3D0
Guest El Satanico Report post Posted December 3, 2004 Im not going to the trouble of posting all the details, but the 12 Disc Lord of the Rings Extended Edition Box set is being released on December 14th.. Amazon has it for $77. Does anyone know if this will include anything new or if it's just the three Extended Editions boxed together? It would've saved me some money, if I waited until this set was released. However, I like having three seperate different color cases, so that it looks like books. Insane Bump Machine 0 Report post Posted December 3, 2004 There's nothing added to the box set, it's just the three EE's in one box. But maybe the three color cases are still there, just hidden inside?
Anakin Flair 0 Report post Posted December 5, 2004 Hell, I got the first two EE for $25 each used, and I got ROTK pre-ordered for about $35, so I paid a little more for the same thing (less if I wanted to buy the boxed set in the store). On another note, I got the Directors Cut of Daredevil yesterday, and I got to say it was worth it. It felt like a completely different movie with the stuff they both put back in and took out- more like a Action/Mystery/Drama tyhan a Action/Romance. And Kingpin is actually made out to be a legit badass this time, instead of posturing the entire movie untill he (breifly) fights DD.
Downhome 0 Report post Posted December 7, 2004 I doubt too many here care about this, but what the hell. This special limited edition version of I, Robot comes out on March 4th, 2005 and it is a Japanese release. Only 5,000 of them are being produced. It's a two disc set, and I believe that the discs are going to pretty much be the same as the already released two disc special editions of I, Robot (like the R3 release that I already own). You can pre-order it right now, but the total ends up at $154.xx after 2-5 day shipping and a coupon that takes a few bucks off of the final price. If you wanted to pre-order it, Amazon Japan does not charge your CC or DC until the item actually ships. You don't even get hit with a pending charge. http://www.amazon.co.jp/exec/obidos/tg/det...6981222-9290764
