Apprentice 2

Recommended Posts

Another week, and Apex continues to fall apart at the seams. In addition to Ivana's lack of competence as a leader last week, we now know that Elizabeth can't hack it either, and to make things worse Maria screwed up big time and cost her team the win. Stacie J was tossed out, but that was mostly because she's nuts rather than how good she was (though she wasn't particularly good either).

One of the funniest things in last night's episode, though, was the first few ideas Mosaic's team members had for the promotion, which sounded like things SUPERVILLAINS would do rather than publicity people.

Stacie J. fucked up.

All she had to do was look around the room and figure out what was going on. The rest of Apex sensed that she might be on the ropes so they all ganged up on her to save their own asses.

A couple of the girls were saying they were scared for their LIVES during the first task. Gimme a fucking break. They were laughing at her. As soon as they realized they had a way to save their own tails, they blew things way out of proportion.

All she basically had to do was call them on the carpet for this and ask why they weren't all screaming about this when it ACTUALLY HAPPENED two weeks ago.

Oh, she knew what was going on. She pretty much repeated it in every confessional she gave. "It's a sorority they're out to get me it's a sorority, a clique, conspirators" yadda yadda yadda. So, y'know, it's kind of sad/pathetic that she didn't bring this up and instead just said "I'm not crazy." over and over again.

Team Apex right now is simply a disaster, I would be harder on Elizabeth, and I understand the leader goes down with the ship but how could she be effective with the cancers such as Ivana, Maria, and Stacie J (no long there obviously) on the team. I cant think of one person that can lead the team to victory as long as Maria and Ivana are around.

I think Trump fired Stacie J more because he may have sensed another "Omarosa" in her. And I doubt Trump would want to even think about having Omarosa working for him again.

But I don't think the girls are that screwed. They've gotten rid of there biggest distractor in this boardroom and the ideas they come up with aren't too bad. If they get a hard-nosed leader (like Maria maybe) next week, I think they may have a good chance to beat Mosaic.

Jeebus, even when she got fired, stalker Jenn still doesn't understand how to shut. the fuck. up. She did a poor job as leader, she brought people into the boardroom for personal reasons, and she got fired for it. It's pretty fricking simple. Man these women irritate me, and next week they get the weakest member of Mosiac, Pamela. Good luck...

Fired 'Apprentice' loses her real-life job

For the second time in two days, Slingerlands native and "Apprentice" contestant Jennifer Crisafulli was apparently fired Thursday -- this time from her real job -- for remarks she made on the NBC reality show.

An official with the Manhattan firm Prudential Douglas Elliman said Thursday that Crisafulli, a 32-year-old real estate agent with the firm, would not be welcomed back because of comments she made on Wednesday night's episode of "The Apprentice."

Crisafulli, who now lives in Manhattan, made remarks that were perceived by some as anti-Semitic.

Nice. Can't say that I blame them for firing her. I believe her company took out a shitload of ads saying "We've got an employee on the Apprentice". Smart move by the company. Of course now she says her comments were taken out of context and that she is half Jewish and that she didn't deserve to be fired from her real job. Apparently she didn't learn a lesson from being on the show. It is always somebody else's fault and she is always right. No wonder she was a shitty leader.

The show loses out on some of the college demographic who have night classes on Thursday. On Saturday for them the show is awful with a recap show and then the extended boardroom scene. Wrestling is for 2 hours, can't apprentice be for 2 hours or at least 90 minutes?

Well, you'd still miss out on stuff. The way I see it, you're gonna have to either invest in a Tivo or VCR, or get BitTorrent. Otherwise, you're stuck with the More Cowbell version...

Wow... men just BARELY win this one. It was fun seeing them all relaxed and show there personalities more when they got there reward. I bet John McEnroe (I don't know how to spell his name, I probably butchered it) felt a little left out when all attention was focused on Anna.

And poor Pamela, goes from one winning team to immediately fired on another. Her being on the womens side though, really showed her immense physical size. I thought Maria was tall but Pamela just towered over her.

One last note, the girls are still playing this game like its a popularity contest. Before the boardroom, the girls still plotted against one candidate to get them fired. I think they really ought to wake up and appreciate what Bill said last week, that this game isn't about favourites.

Got a few more comments...

- Raj is the fucking MAN. Sure, he lost the bet, but I didn't see any of the other guys stepping up and trying to win a date with Kournikova.

- I also think his pricing point was valid. Sell that thing at $69.99 instead of $72 and your margin of victory is probably larger.

- Totally hate Maria. Not sure who she was trying to kid - Apex NEEDED the verbal smackdown because the visual one of them losing wasn't working.

- Stacie is the new "Please, shut the fuck up" person on Apex. I'm liking the not-fired-Jenn the best on that team now, because she barely gets any screen time.

- Pamela lost this in the boardroom. I don't think that the women could have sold more than they did, but Pamela took charge, got the women ORGANIZED (Jenn C: "Or - gan - ize?") and managed them into a better oiled machine than they had been before. But in the boardroom, she didn't mention that at all, and didn't do a very good job making her case against either Maria or Stacy - just like what happened with her case against Andy. So in the end, Trump could only blame the PM, and thus, she's gone.

- Still, Trump isn't seeing things the way Burnett wants us to see things. We can see that Pamela organized her troops as best she could, and at HIS behest. Like Bradford, she showed some of the best leadership abilities on APEX, and for that, she got fired.

- OK, so next week, it's designing women's clothes. Seems tailor-made for the women to win, yet with their collective abilities, I can see them pulling defeat from the fires of victory...

Hell, at this point I would just fire all the women if I could. Those girls could fuck up a wet dream.

Pamela didn't deserve to be fired. The women looked better in this mission because of her leadership. They actually worked together as a team, which speaks volumes about Pamela's abilities. She definately should have focused on that in the Boardroom instead of the faults of the other two.

Stacy needs to shut the fuck up. My accounting teacher was right. You need to keep lawyers out of a business for as long as you can. Her overcomplicating of all the legal shit ("do you want another Enron?" Shut the fuck up) was bad, but it wasn't nearly as bad as Maria falling apart on the camera.

Maria does have a good grasp on public speaking. However she took stupid when the cameras were on. Way too much blinking, too much hand movement and her rate of speaking was ridiculous. She didn't help anything by volunteering to go on camera.

It was different to see the men get heated while planning. They usually seem cool and under control. Either way, getting to play at Ashe with McEnroe would be super sweet.

And in a somewhat unrelated note, does anybody else find it bizarre that people actually sit and watch QVC and order shit from them?

Well, think about all the times you've stopped flicking channels because there's an infomercial on. Even if just to make fun of it, you're still getting sucked in. QVC and HSN are basically that, a 24 hour infomercial. Now, personally I can't see why people would watch 18 minutes of people hawking a soap bar, but selling food and seeing how an item works - I've got no problem watching that.

My grandmother used to order crap from QVC so much that we had to get the cable company to block the channel from coming up for her. She'd spend an entire month's worth of money buying people crap on that channel.

Show was good last night, I called Pam getting fired though. She showed good leadership in some capacity, but no matter how bad the women had been before, there was no need for her to go in and act the way she did. She gave everyone else a job and didn't take one for herself and then criticized everyone for the job that they did. She yelled at the Stephanie McMahon midget for being "too legal" when anyone knows that once you turn a lawyer loose, be ready for things like that. They look at every angle.

She brought in the right people to get fired, but she didn't make enough of a case against them besides "Stephanie McMahon midget is too legal" and "This one can't speak in front of the camera." If she had a problem with the SMM, she should have taken away the job and done it herself. If she had a problem with Maria(?), she shouldn't have let her on camera.

The only infomercials I ever get sucked into are the '70s singer songwriter collections or shit like that. But I can see where you're coming from.

If she had a problem with the SMM, she should have taken away the job and done it herself.

This was the problem, because she did exactly that. Midget Stacy wanted a lower price on the sponges, and Pamela took the job out of her hands and set a higher one.

Since they could have sold enough more to cover the cost of lowering the price, the price and thus the failure wound up on Pamela's shoulders. Even if they failed with Midget's price, Pam could have at least blamed Midget for setting the price and causing a fuckup.

The exclusive footage on Yahoo! TV's page may also provide some insight into Pam's firing. The guys came over to the ladies while she was away and told them that Pam was someone they were planning to take to the boardroom every time they could, compared her to a poisonous spider, said she told them that "Don" Trump should be her apprentice, etc. Then that little get-together where they decided to axe Pam anyway they could happened afterwards.

I hate Stacy with a passion. It's different than Omarosa because she was at least funny with how absurd she was. Stacy is just 100% hateable.

Woah wait a second... there's extra footage on Yahoo??

Yep, Yahoo has the extended boardrooms as well as footage that doesn't appear on either night. This week's is basically the men (mainly Raj) telling the women what they think of Pamela and then Liz going to talk to Pamela for a bit while she's out sunbathing or something.

Whether Raj was telling the truth or scared that the women came so close this time is anyone's guess.

I didn't watch the first year, but I always thought Omarosa was an employee of Trump who was planted as a contestant to fuck things up. That she's doing commentaries and crap on the NBC.com site proves she's still on the payroll and I wouldn't be suprised if she suddently makes a reappearance at some point this season so that Apex can crash into a mountain of bitchy whiny egos again.

For those of you that didn't see Carolyn on Conan the other night, here's a tidbit I found fascinating...

The boardroom scene we see every week is about 6-10 minutes long. When they actually shoot that, they're in there deliberating for between 3 and 5 HOURS. Could you imagine listening to that bickering and bitching for THAT long?

I used to think that Trump made a lot of rash decisions with the way it gets portrayed on there, but considering they're actually in there that long, I can't imagine any stone is left unturned.

I think it's the latter. The women were a mess, Pamela actually got them organized, and now that she's gone they'll be a mess until the Reshuffle.

Carolyn's starting to piss me off because despite all of her insights on the tasks and whatnot, she still acts like a yes woman when Trump looks for approval on a firing. It's pretty obvious that George wasn't happy with at least a couple of firings, and you can see it on his face.

Not surprising at all, considering that Survivor's Tribal Council runs about the same as well.

I'm sure that we miss a lot of hedging. But in this case the reason for the firing was fairly clear. Pamela set the price point, and failed to make a good case against either Maria or Stacy. Looking back at this, Trump seemed to be looking for a reason not to fire her. But he did, and he's starting to look like a tool for firing the wrong person 3 out of 4 times from Apex...

The problem is that Trump is not there when they do the tasks. He can really only go by what George and Carolyn tell him and the Boardroom.

Pamela had a horrible boardroom performance ('We tied') and that's what really hurt her. You can screw up but if you can put together a compelling argument- Trump will save your ass

Pamela's boardroom failre started at the beginning when she tried to spin her team's loss into a tie. That seriously pissed George off and things just went downhill for her after that.

I'm pretty confident that the men will continue to win until the great reshuffle. I'm interested to see how the men work with the women.

Raj didn't seem to particularly like Pamela judging from confessionals from him, primarily from the ice cream episode where he mocked her terrible ability at selling the ice cream, so I think he was telling the truth.

Yeah, we've seen how if Trump gets an idea past his combover and into his head, he sticks with it. Pamela brings Sandy, Stacy and Ivana into the boardroom, and chances are one of those three gets fired instead.

So this week, how will the women pull defeat from the fires of victory?

Who gets fired: Little Stacy

Who gets fired if the men lose (I'm hedging): Raj or Andy.
