SuperJerk 0 Report post Posted December 3, 2004 Kevin's a law student. Presumably he's had some businesses "on the side" since his inexperience was never brought up like Andy's was. Kevin also has an MBA, and had a software company with his brother. For that same reason, Sandy is at a disadvantage. Remember, she's an entrepreneur, so getting interviewed for a job is probably not something she's accustomed to. Job experience trumps (no pun intended) wordsmithing skills. Its more impressive to be able to give real-life examples to answer questions than it is to make unverifiable personal statements about ability and business philosophy. Guest Jimmy Saint Report post Posted December 3, 2004 The thing with the interviews is that I think the interviewers have no prior knowledge of what's gone on in the past. If thats right I can certainly see jen having the advantage. She has done well at presentations and being a lawyer can certainly talk complete bullshit as if its fact with no problems. You can have all the job experience in the world, with lots of examples to draw from, but it means nothing if you can't get through to the interviewer, and this is (sadly) where I think the Jen-bot has an advantage. We know she's got job experience (since Andy was the only one who didn't), and we've seen her BS through presentations (QVC, Levis) and earn the praise of PMs and execs, so I really do feel that she'll do well, as much as I hate to say it. That kind of depends on how good Trump's interviewers are. During the first season, they nailed Amy for giving hollow answers (one guy even referred to her as a "Stepford wife"). I've been on interviews where I had no job experience and did okay since I knew the right things to say, but have always done better on interviews where I had some experiences to back up my examples. Sandy isn't completely without verbal skills, as she was able to hold her own against Mr. Debate Champ. One bright side: if neither one of them win, they'll probably get offered big money to do a pictoral together.
starvenger 0 Report post Posted December 4, 2004 So you haven't seen the new Maxim yet then? Seven isn't one of the girls featured, but Sandy is (and Blinky, non-midget Stacie, won't shut up Jen and Pamela). And yes, I'm reading quite a bit into that... Seven isn't one of the girls featured, but Sandy is (and Blinky, non-midget Stacie, won't shut up Jen and Pamela). Let me re-emphasize the word together. But I'd settle for Jenbot by herself. That bitch is hot.

The Electrifyer 0 Report post Posted December 10, 2004 Every one of these contestants these season seem to suck in their own way. Trump oughtta just fire both Kelly and Jenn and pick another Apprentice from the first season.
Jobber of the Week 0 Report post Posted December 10, 2004 I gotta say that this final choice sucks. I'm doubly pissed that they didn't bring back EVERYONE, just the people who helped screw up the show. If Ivana had come back, I would have tossed the remote into the window. The only person there who seems like the kind of person who actually understands that they're there to work instead of suck up TV time is Pamela. Why the FUCK did they bring back Stacy (who even Trump thought was worth -1 people as a team member) and leave out Bradford?
Mik 0 Report post Posted December 10, 2004 Well, the spoilers were right. How many people were able to get these bets off in Vegas before they called off betting I wonder? And how much money can you actually win betting on The Apprentice? Jen is such a bully... she doesn't even give other people a chance to talk when she argues, and somehow Trump likes that? If she ever did that in a really important business meeting, everything would be off. I hate her.

Why the FUCK did they bring back Stacy (who even Trump thought was worth -1 people as a team member) and leave out Bradford? Obviously they didn't want to do the same thing as last year, so instead of bringing back applicants 3-8 they brought back 9-14. Also, I think that there are too many people in the final 8 with animosity towards Jen, so they needed to give her a fair shot. The only returnees with something to prove, IMO, are Pamela (because she got screwed) and Elizabeth (because of her breakdown), so as long as they adopt Raj's Dick Vitale viewpoint ("Just win, baby") it's fine as far as I'm concerned. Jen is such a bully... she doesn't even give other people a chance to talk when she argues, and somehow Trump likes that? If she ever did that in a really important business meeting, everything would be off. Like I said before, Sandy was screwed before the interviews even started. They want a corporate zombie with a good post-secondary pedigree, and the Jenbot has that in spades over Sandy, no matter that Sandy is more than likely a better businessperson. It's not without precedent either (see Troy vs Kwame) I actually liked Kevin in the interviews, but his style of speaking his mind and being (more or less) honest cost him, as the interviewers thought he'd be the kind of guy that cannot settle down in one job. I think he's better off, although after seeing Sandy and Seven's verbal catfight (part 2) I think Trump should've told the taxi to turn around, bring back Kevin and fire the both of them. I guess I'm rooting for Kelly to win though.
Guest M. Harry Smilac Report post Posted December 10, 2004 I almost had to change the channel during the Seven/Stacy verbal outting. I was literally sitting their saying "Trump, somebody, stop them already". God I hate lawyers and Jen re-inforces that like no other. I really hope she loses and then does playboy. Wrong wr-wrong wrong wrong. Wrong. Pamela (because she got screwed) and Elizabeth (because of her breakdown) I'll agree on Pamela. I missed the Elizabeth episode (Mrs. Jerk taped over it with damn fucking Oprah). I've heard people mention it, but what happened exactly? Isn't she the one who turned out to be an actress? Ca somebody shed some light on this fiasco?

Vigo 0 Report post Posted December 17, 2004 That reunion special was lame. Horrible production, blatant pimping, and not enough face time for the contestants equals a shitty finish.

Jobber of the Week 0 Report post Posted December 17, 2004 Man, I feel bad for the dude that totally got camera shy and fucked up his lines. Oh boy. This was the first time I actually watched the show, and these people are fucking horrible. Don't judge the show based on this episode. It's usually an entertaining little series, but last night was reality TV at it's worse. For some reason, every last of season episode is turned into Donald Trump's Laugh-In At The Apollo, giving people tuning in for the big finish a bad taste of what the rest of the show is like. PS: No love for Jen, but respect for being able to sit there while the entire building gives you heel heat for 45 straight minutes. She got no-sold by everyone but Andy, who must be very desperate to get laid.

It's usually an entertaining little series, but last night was reality TV at it's worse. Agreed. But if it comes off that Kelly and JenBot are both undeserving of winning, then you get the idea of how everyone who has been watching feel. PS: No love for Jen, but respect for being able to sit there while the entire building gives you heel heat for 45 straight minutes. She got no-sold by everyone but Andy, who must be very desperate to get laid. John did a better job of standing up for her I thought. Anyways, it just goes to show you that when you're on a show where EVERYTHING YOU SAY IS RECORDED, all your BS will come back to get you. And if Trump was undecided before FINALLY firing her, I'd guess that her constant "MrTrumpMrTrumpMrTrump"-ing probably drove the final nail in her coffin. Anyways, next year - book smarts vs street smarts to start, which would be great except for Trump's hard-on for edjumacated folk...
Guest M. Harry Smilac Report post Posted December 17, 2004 Anyways, next year - book smarts vs street smarts to start, which would be great except for Trump's hard-on for edjumacated folk... We can expect every boardroom to consist of "But you don't even have a college education" for the street smart team losses and "You graduated from wherever so why did you fail?" for the book-smart team losses. I told my brother the only thing they could do to make the show worse is to make it Republican Vs. Democrat for a season. I'll admit they need to do something about the girls vs. guys because that definately was not working but I don't see this being much better.
