Rob E Dangerously Posted October 1, 2004 Report Posted October 1, 2004 Former Congressman Matthew Perry (R-FL) said that Kerry won on MSNBC. Maybe Chris Matthews intimidated him.
teke184 Posted October 1, 2004 Report Posted October 1, 2004 Even though this was effectively a tie, the Boston Globe has already written up an article about how this was a victory, as it was visible this afternoon. This made for a HELL of a lot of time-machine jokes on the blogs.
MrRant Posted October 1, 2004 Report Posted October 1, 2004 I thought Bush came of confused in my opinon... seemed flustered at first and then got going. I thought Kerry not saying what his MASTER PLAN~! was hurt. I'd call it even though.
Steviekick Posted October 1, 2004 Report Posted October 1, 2004 CNN seems to be saying that nobody won. I'd agree that no one won, but Kerry had a better than expected showing. To be honest, I wouldn't have been able to guess how Kerry would do at all. He did alright, nothing jumped out at me. Very true. No one thought that Kerry would do well, let alone Bush flopping and coming across being agitated the whole time.
Guest GreatOne Posted October 1, 2004 Report Posted October 1, 2004 "Kerry showed his intellectual superiority over John Bush....It's appalling that he's our president." "Seemed weak and confused at Kerry's complex ideas..." Whoa John Bush was in the debate? Wonder if Scott Ian or Charlie Benante know anything about it
Jobber of the Week Posted October 1, 2004 Report Posted October 1, 2004 "You can't send mexed... Mixed messages" And of course, the crowd please: "*longish pause* Unnhhh... Well let me tell you about... Before I answer that.... I wanna start start with..." I hope you guys are ready to be good losers.
AndrewTS Posted October 1, 2004 Report Posted October 1, 2004 "We need to pull out of Iraq immediately..." WHEN DID KERRY SAY THAT??! Lots of people picked up that Bush looked ticked though.
Guest TheLastBoyscout Posted October 1, 2004 Report Posted October 1, 2004 ABC News is saying pretty much across the board that Kerry won.
Justice Posted October 1, 2004 Report Posted October 1, 2004 Scarborough says Kerry clearly won "on points," And since the Right Wingers here are admitting this was a "draw" the avergage moderate would say "Kerry won." Oh and Kerry didn't looked P.O'd every time Kerry got him with a zinger. Actually, both sides are saying it's a draw. If you believe there was a clear victor, you're just insane. And, yeah, Kerry tends to Zinger himself. That's what happens when you take both sides of an issue.
Guest MikeSC Posted October 1, 2004 Report Posted October 1, 2004 Unfortunately for Kerry, I do think that there is material for commercials that attack Kerry far moreso than there is material to attack Bush with. -=Mike
Justice Posted October 1, 2004 Report Posted October 1, 2004 And hey, it's Tony Franks, the guy Kerry kept mentioning! He kinda forgot that he supports W...

This is like the Cowboys trying to claim some sort of victory cause they only lost to the Patriots 12-0 last year.
Guest MikeSC Posted October 1, 2004 Report Posted October 1, 2004 Hey, CBS reported that Bush ate a baby during the debate. -=Mike

And just like Nixon did in '60... Bush sounded far worse even when he was bringing the content.
therealworldschampion Posted October 1, 2004 Report Posted October 1, 2004 Like I said before, that deabte was like the entire Spurs-Nets NBA Finals last year, bowling shoe ugly

This is like the Cowboys trying to claim some sort of victory cause they only lost to the Patriots 12-0 last year. So, Kerry lost because he mentioned Vietnam a couple times? How about Bush lost because he paused for about ten seconds before every answer and stuttered like a retard at least twice in every answer. Bush lost. Big time.
Guest MikeSC Posted October 1, 2004 Report Posted October 1, 2004 Yeah, I think we can safely ignore Mr Scout. -=Mike
Guest GreatOne Posted October 1, 2004 Report Posted October 1, 2004 And just like Nixon did in '60... Bush sounded far worse even when he was bringing the content. Unfortunately even if the Bush=Nixon thing had any water, Kerry didn't quite bring the Kennedy.
CBright7831 Posted October 1, 2004 Report Posted October 1, 2004 Bush needs to get his shit together for the next debate.

But, at least he wasn't getting pissy, and stumbling all over himself every time Bush said something like Bush was with Kerry. Bush wuz schooled.
GreatWhiteNope Posted October 1, 2004 Report Posted October 1, 2004 Bush needs to get his shit together for the next debate. Didn't you just say that on the last page?
MrRant Posted October 1, 2004 Report Posted October 1, 2004 God Guiliani looks EVIL~! with his eyebrows like that.
Justice Posted October 1, 2004 Report Posted October 1, 2004 How about Bush lost because he paused for about ten seconds before every answer and stuttered like a retard at least twice in every answer. Bush lost. Big time. Oddly enough, no one cares. He's always been a decent at best public speaker. Kerry didn't bring anything tonight. It's a pretty big draw. But hey, you only needed one thread to prove how much of an idiot you are, so I shouldn't expect too much from yourself...
Guest GreatOne Posted October 1, 2004 Report Posted October 1, 2004 Bush wuz schooled. Oh yeeh DUDER Kerry R00LD.......................
Guest TheLastBoyscout Posted October 1, 2004 Report Posted October 1, 2004 Yeah, I think we can safely ignore Mr Scout. -=Mike Like you're fair and balanced. 45 % say Kerry won 36% say Bush won according to ABC.
bobobrazil1984 Posted October 1, 2004 Report Posted October 1, 2004 The issues was mostly restating what they've said a thousand times each. I found the N. Korea exchange interesting. Simply based on poise and stuff, I give the debate to Kerry, but not a strong victory. I'm biased though, so take that as you will.
Guest BDC Posted October 1, 2004 Report Posted October 1, 2004 I'd let it ride at a tie, but anytime a challenger goes up against the incumbent, he/she NEEDS to do better than a tie.
Rob E Dangerously Posted October 1, 2004 Report Posted October 1, 2004 Don't grill Bush on slipping on the Saddam/Osama thing.. it's been awhile since he's said Osama in public.
