spman Posted October 29, 2004 Report Posted October 29, 2004 Meh, I have a master copy of the VHS and it's essentially the same thing at this release.
Lil' Bitch Posted October 29, 2004 Report Posted October 29, 2004 God damn, they skipped IYH 3 to 12 and then 14 & 15?
Guest TigerDriver91 Posted October 29, 2004 Report Posted October 29, 2004 Dammit! I really want Canadian Stampede on DVD, but I am not in UK
Guest Real F'n Show Posted October 29, 2004 Report Posted October 29, 2004 Dammit! I really want Canadian Stampede on DVD, but I am not in UK Same here. But look on the bright side, at least us Americans don't have to wait 2 extra months for things to be released.
claydude14 Posted October 29, 2004 Report Posted October 29, 2004 Just get a region free DVD player. The more these Tagged classics come out the more I want to invest in one. Hell, I'd love to invest in a modded Q (Gamecube/DVD player both functions region free).
Guest wayzing Posted October 29, 2004 Report Posted October 29, 2004 Meh, I have a master copy of the VHS and it's essentially the same thing at this release. Hey Spman. How's the editing? Is it complete PPV's?
Guest Lawlerm Posted October 29, 2004 Report Posted October 29, 2004 Why can't they just release the bloody things in order?!
Guest Evolution Posted October 29, 2004 Report Posted October 29, 2004 Are DVD-ROMs in computers region free? I'd really like to see Canadian Stampede.
pochorenella Posted October 29, 2004 Report Posted October 29, 2004 I asked this on the Movie/DVD forums but I'll ask again: Does silvervision ship to the US? That would be reason enough to get a region-free DVD player.
Promoter Posted October 29, 2004 Report Posted October 29, 2004 I live in Toronto and they have recently released some of these tagged classics such as the HBK and History of Mania dvd. So, I guess there must be some North American playability.
B. Brian Brunzell Posted October 29, 2004 Report Posted October 29, 2004 Damn, I hope Silvervision ships to the US. The only copy of Canadian Stampede I have is dubbed copy from OrangeGoblin, and it's starting to wear out. I need a new copy. BAD.
franchise632 Posted October 29, 2004 Report Posted October 29, 2004 Hey just a heads up on Region free players. I just picked one up brand new for 29.99 plus shipping, which ended up being 60 total. Havent got to use it yet as it is on its way to me down here in Ecuador but they family I am staying with has the same one and they havent had any problems with it. Pretty good buy, just thought some of you might want to know about that. Just search Region Free DVD player. On a side note, a really sad thought about that classic ten man tag. 4 of the men in that match have died far to early and not a single one is a regular player with a high level wrestling promotion, really sad.
Guest curry_man2002 Posted October 29, 2004 Report Posted October 29, 2004 Are DVD-ROMs in computers region free? I remeber hearing somewhere that they are but dont take my word as gospel.
Guest Lawlerm Posted October 29, 2004 Report Posted October 29, 2004 Silvervision don't ship outside Europe i'm afraid. Think its a WWE decision rather than a company one. Also DVD players on computers are region specific but you mite be able to get a hack or something. Highly unlikely Microsoft have a program that someone can't hack
Guest TroughOfMantaur Posted October 29, 2004 Report Posted October 29, 2004 Silvervision does not ship directly to the US, HOWEVER, www.amazon.co.uk carries their DVDs, and they DO ship to the US. If you want a player that is made region free with the click of a few buttons, and does decent PAL->NTSC conversion, go to your local Target and grab a Phillips DVP-642 for 69.99. This will be the first of the Tagged Classics I order. And before anyone asks, I just had an order from amazon.co.uk arrive, so yes, I can say from personal experience they ship to the US and in a timely manner.

Doesn't SilverVision have some kind of rights to the shows which is why they have released them in the first place? Again, these DVD releases are in Toronto as we speak(not the latest ones in this thread though).
Guest JericholicEdgeHead Posted October 29, 2004 Report Posted October 29, 2004 I have both of these shows on DVD, if you have a DVD recorder, go out and find the Coliseum videos and transfer them to DVD. You might be able to find these at mom & pop video stores, and they are not hard to find on ebay. Both shows are under 2 hours and can fit on 2 DVD-R perfectly, and they look great. It's the ones like Battle Royal at Albert Hall & other U.K. only releases that weren't released on Coliseum video in the U.S. that I would consider buying.
Guest DVD Spree Posted October 29, 2004 Report Posted October 29, 2004 Just get a region free DVD player. The more these Tagged classics come out the more I want to invest in one. Hell, I'd love to invest in a modded Q (Gamecube/DVD player both functions region free). Oh, you'd love it
benoit4hor Posted October 29, 2004 Report Posted October 29, 2004 Doug Furnas & Phil Lafon vs. Owen Hart & Davey Boy Smith They had some good matches. Whatever happened to Furnas & Lafon? I thought they where a great tag-team, Reminded me of the early Steiner Bros. Hell they even had a great tag match on RAW against the fake Razor & fake Diesel. Bring Back Furnas & Lafon.

They did get some injuries from a car accident. Can someone help me out here? If you want to watch Furnas and Lafon (aka the second Dan Kroffat) tear down the house get their stuff from All Japan. Their entire stint in All Japan was awesome. You will not be dissapointed. Kroffat is a fantastic wrestler. They also wrestled some in ECW.
Boner Kawanger Posted October 30, 2004 Report Posted October 30, 2004 ...these tagged classics such as the HBK and History of Mania dvd. Those aren't Tagged Classics. They were released in the US, as well.

Guest wayzing Posted October 31, 2004 Report Posted October 31, 2004 I'll try again. Does anyone know if these are the full PPVs?
Fro Posted October 31, 2004 Report Posted October 31, 2004 This is a great 2fer: The tag and world title matches on Final Four are great and obviously Canadian Stampede is one of the best PPV's of all time. Since they're both under 2 hours, they'll easily fit on a DVD together.
IWD Posted November 2, 2004 Report Posted November 2, 2004 They're in the same format as the VHS releases by Coliseum - slightly edited, but the matches were complete, I think. So far as I remember the only really badly edited video was Survivor Series '88. Cheers.
Guest Lawlerm Posted November 2, 2004 Report Posted November 2, 2004 So far as I remember the only really badly edited video was Survivor Series '88. Ye it had to be though seen as they went about an hour over the scheduled time! I've always really liked that card. It was the first WWF PPV i ever saw so maybe it's just got sentimental value...
