The Czech Republic Posted November 4, 2004 Report Posted November 4, 2004 Kobe Bryant has risen above the nonsense. He IS the nonsense!
The Czech Republic Posted November 4, 2004 Report Posted November 4, 2004 Sorry. I gotta do this. That was a personal foul.
Guest Smell the ratings!!! Posted November 4, 2004 Report Posted November 4, 2004 Brent Barry and Manu Ginobili are building good team chemistry at getting steals and running the fast breaks.....Tony Parker should worry about his job again. that's Tony "6 year extension" Parker to you. have I mentioned that when the Bulls took Ben Gordon over Iguodala I threw a shoe at the tv?
razazteca Posted November 4, 2004 Report Posted November 4, 2004 If Popavich can put Malik Rose in the doghouse for general misconduct for a year then Parker can do the same. Nothing like a trade threat to make him work for the money.
HarleyQuinn Posted November 4, 2004 Report Posted November 4, 2004 no love for KG going nuts with a 20/20 performance!?!?!
razazteca Posted November 4, 2004 Report Posted November 4, 2004 Sorry I don't have the Direct tv Season Pass.
Guest Smell the ratings!!! Posted November 4, 2004 Report Posted November 4, 2004 I can't be expected to watch an NBA game before March. I can, however, make fun of bad contract signings. How bout those Golden State Warriors!!!
The Czech Republic Posted November 4, 2004 Report Posted November 4, 2004 I ain't afraid to say it. This game is getting me a little frisky
Damaramu Posted November 4, 2004 Report Posted November 4, 2004 no love for KG going nuts with a 20/20 performance!?!?! *high fives KG* There ya go.
Kurt Angle Mark Posted November 4, 2004 Report Posted November 4, 2004 WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!! Clippers beat the Sonics 114-84 tonight. First time Clippers win a season opener in 8 years. The Clips best bench player Bobby Simmons scores 30 tonight on 13/15 from the field. Plus rookie Shaun Livingston had a nice start with 6 points 5 rebounds and 3 assists in 16 minutes.
Lightning Flik Posted November 4, 2004 Report Posted November 4, 2004 no love for KG going nuts with a 20/20 performance!?!?! 35pts and 18rebs Gomen sai, but Ilgauskas deserves more credit than KG.
ant_7000 Posted November 4, 2004 Report Posted November 4, 2004 My Bulls will be the last team to start the season, thats ok they should be able to beat the Nets Tommorrow.
Dangerous A Posted November 4, 2004 Report Posted November 4, 2004 Last night notables... Orlando has some good talent. They may end up on the better end of the McGrady/Francis-Mobley-Cato deal. Howard was solid and because of Stevie and Hill (provided he plays at least 60 games) Howard can develop on his own without the pressure to produce right now. The Jazz looked really good. They caught the Lakers on the second of a back to back night on the road too, but still. They have some very good players and depth and Arroyo didn't even play last night. I like that team. The Lakers won't be as bad as last night, but I can see a lot more nights like that this season. Kobe had 38 points last night while the rest of his team produced 40. Not good. The Lakers are still ailing with Divac, George, and Slava out, so you are really not seeing the whole team, but even when those guys come back, they don't scare anyone. Their biggest problem will be, as shown last night, they are going to get killed in the paint on both ends because they have no intimidators. Kings are in big fucking trouble and might want to start thinking about shopping the unhappy Peja or someone for something because they need a shakeup very badly. They made a huge mistake by signing Webber to a max contract, but then again, this was before the huge knee injury. Now he is getting killed on the defensive end. Nowitzki and Duncan have looked like gods against Webber. Speaking of bad contracts, the Warriors put up a measly 75 points last night with their two new signees, J-Rich and Troy Murphy at the helm. Murphy did well last night, but Richardson was 4-18 from the field last night and couldn't hit a perimeter shot to save his life. He was not worth the big contract they gave him and will prove he is just a highlight reel who can't win. Think Dominique Wilkins 2K4.
Black Lushus Posted November 4, 2004 Report Posted November 4, 2004 Anyone else kinda disappointed in Houston so far?
Guest Vitamin X Posted November 4, 2004 Report Posted November 4, 2004 Houston and the Lakers will both bounce back. Though I fully agree with Dangerous A saying tha they don't have anyone to intimidate in the paint.. what's supposed to offset that is that LA is supposed to be a great shooting team like they were against Denver. Utah's a tough place to play, and they've got a decent team assembled. How about Andrei Kirilenko yesterday? man, that guy was block after block after block, it was great. How has Derek Fisher fared with the Warriors? L.A. could really use him, I think.
Fökai Posted November 4, 2004 Report Posted November 4, 2004 How has Derek Fisher fared with the Warriors? L.A. could really use him, I think. He's splitting minutes with starter Speedy Claxton, putting up decent stats all around the board. As for my presence in this thread, I'll wait until the Bulls game is over.
Guest NaturalBornThriller4:20 Posted November 5, 2004 Report Posted November 5, 2004 What kind of Sneakers did Steve Francis have on last night? Damn, that man can jump.
razazteca Posted November 5, 2004 Report Posted November 5, 2004 What is the current status on Ed Curry?
CanadianChris Posted November 5, 2004 Report Posted November 5, 2004 NEWSFLASH: The Bobcats are winning.
razazteca Posted November 5, 2004 Report Posted November 5, 2004 The Nuggets are having internal problems with what to do with the lineup some want to go with the big lineup and move Carmelo Anthony to SG the coach is refusing.
alfdogg Posted November 5, 2004 Author Report Posted November 5, 2004 How has LaFrentz been doing? We're in Boston tomorrow, and I want to know what to expect from their front line.
razazteca Posted November 5, 2004 Report Posted November 5, 2004 NEWSFLASH: The Bobcats are winning. UPDATE: Wizards win by 10.
Dangerous A Posted November 5, 2004 Report Posted November 5, 2004 I have to say that I agree with Magic Johnson's assessment that the Suns are the new Kings. Lots of offense and very explosive. I can see this team taking a playoff spot from either the Nuggets, Rockets, or Kings if any of those 3 teams start slipping. Nuggets look horrible on offense the last 2 games. Carmelo is just jacking up shots with no rythym and no ball movement. K-Mart has looked less than impressive as well. It's only game 2 in the season, but I'll just say if this team gets off to a rocky start, Bzdelik is history before the new year.
MrRant Posted November 5, 2004 Report Posted November 5, 2004 I was debating on going and watching the Sonics play Atlanta on Friday... but that looks like it will SUCK.
Gert T Posted November 5, 2004 Report Posted November 5, 2004 Looks like the bad blood between the Wolves and Nuggets continues as Cassell is the 2nd man ejected.
Precious Roy Posted November 5, 2004 Report Posted November 5, 2004 Nuggets-Wolves is the new Knicks-Heat, only with more offense. I love it. Francisco Elson getting in KG's face, fuck endorsments and awards, he's just a tall skinny dude who can get rattled like anyone else! K-Mart playing the enforcer role and pissing off Cassell enough to throw the ball at him and get ejected.....this is going to be a great season
Guest Smell the ratings!!! Posted November 5, 2004 Report Posted November 5, 2004 What is the current status on Ed Curry? bad
Dangerous A Posted November 5, 2004 Report Posted November 5, 2004 I'm digging the developing rivalry between the T-Wolves and Nuggets. I think it could be even more explosive this year because of K-Mart joining the fray. Add on a disgruntled Sprewell and we've got the Hatfields and McCoys out there on the hardwood.
