Evolution

Recommended Posts

I was just wondering if others were thinking that Evolution might be coming to an end? To make it short here is why it could be happening. Triple H the bastard character he is sees the writing on the wall and will bail on the Evolution group. Orton was close to taking his postion and he was ousted. He used Batista and Flair to get the title off Orton and unto himself. He used Evolution to keep Orton from getting another shot as long as he's champion. He talks all self centred on raw this week leaving Batista and Orton hanging after he knew about the "locker room revolt". There are still things in the air like Flair shaking Orton's hands after the ppv match and Orton talking to Flair and Batista about HHH only thinking and caring about himself a few weeks back. Eric Bischoff has cut ties with Evolution after 2 years. Could this all be coincident or is the creative staff going to kill off Evolution? If they do, does anyone think it's a good idea?

I think the writers released that fans are a little sick of the "status quo" with Evolution having power.

Even without the title, they were in EVERY main event. Now with Triple H having a long title reign, they need to give the fans the feeling that he can lose it, thus, making them care.

I don't think they're going anywhere. Their team should go over at Survivor Series.

I have to agree with Sledgehammer. HHH's team will win making life miserable for all the faces, especially Orton. They'll probably book Randy to enter #1 at the Rumble too (just to go with the rehashed angle pile). <_<

Evolution will not give Randy Orton #1 at the Rumble.

Remember:

The "controlling Raw" aspect only lasts til approximately December 14th. There is a Raw PPV *before* the Rumble.

If Orton does get #1, he will not win. Which would make sense, because I still feel a Smackdown! mid-card star will win the Rumble and challenge "God" (Angle).

D'oh! Forgot about the 1 month rule. I still think Orton will win the Rumble, mainly because somebody from Raw has to win it. Lesnar and Benoit (before changing shows) have won it the past two years. You also can't forget about the upcoming Angle/UT feud.

December 12th Armageddon is a Smackdown PPV according to WWE.Com's calendar. The January 9th Puerto Rico PPV is a RAW PPV.

I wouldn't mind Evolution breaking up. I'd like to see Batista get a singles push without Triple H or Flair by his side.

Every week, it seems like they play Flair like he's getting further apart from the group or he's eventually going to be Flair instead of a lap dog.

First off, the guy who is #1 CAN'T win this year. They can't do that two years back to back, it makes it seem like going coast to coast in the Rumble is too easy.

Anyways, you really think it's going to NOT be Angle vs. Undertaker for Smackdown at Wrestlemania?

IF Orton enters #1, expect him to get the 1999 Austin treatment and lose thanks to some interference. Even then, Austin was in the ring for maybe 1/3 of the match at most.

The only thing I don't like about Evolution splitting is that DAVE~! will get lost in the storyline - buried under (ironically) the split of Flair and Trips.

The last thing DAVE~! needs right now is to end up booked like the generic WWE hoss again.

I see Maven and Edge joining Evolution, while Flair turns face, thereby setting up Orton and Flair as a team (possibly the focus of a NEW Four Horsemen.)

I watch RAW these days for Edge & Trish.

I'm so over the whole 'these three guys take on Evolution' as the main event/main angle. Evolution DEFINETELY needs to disband and go their seperate ways.

The whole 'dominant stable' thing is also in total overkill mode at present. Kill the factions for a while and break them all into tag/singles feuds.

If Evolution breaks up, I'd like to see Flair be DAVE's mentor and manager. HHH goes solo or gets another lackey, but Flair says how he thinks Dave is the future, etc. etc. and stays with him.

I wouldn't hold your breath.

HHH will not let the group die until it rivals the legendary status of his idol's the 4 horsemen.Of course it never will and be around forever because of that.

In that same mindset I think it will be a few years before they start letting people like Maven in.The hors...errr I mean Evolution are suppose to be thee elite and since Maven has done NOTHING of note their's no way he'll be allowed in.

Edge has actually won the IC and tag straps so i'd say he's your best guess as a replacement.Maybe they will phase out Flair and replace him with Christian since their already teasing the E&C reunion.

Of course they will probably never phase Flair out because he has to remain and

keep that Horsemen association attached to the group. He'll probably be relegated to managerial duties of Batista although i'd like to see him manage E&C as that team managed by the dirtiest player in the game could be thee monster tag team of RAW.

It wouldn't surprise me to eventually see HHH v Orton, with Flair and Batista in his corner, and with Orton playing the babyface. It would be booked under the guise of a big blowoff with all of HHH's running buddies getting sick of him, but in reality, the booking would only serve to make HHH look like an underdog and hurt Orton's heat.

So yeah, bet on it happening.

This is true and that is a problem with the company booking for a wrestler's wishes. The thing is that means the show will always surround a heel champion and his gang winning over the faces. History shows that this is not going to help in the long run. It's already to the point where people just expect Triple H to win back the title and run through the faces. It creates apathy after awhile. Flair might be better used to create a new face superstar and group. Triple H is already over from his days battling Austin and Rock.

That's exactly what I was thinking. Maven is nothing more than a damn jobber who is in the start of his career.

Agreed, they can just let Edge say that the only reason why he tried to take down Evolution was only to win over the fans, which is something he couldn't do.

I'd like to see Batista pushed as a Waylon Mercy type character. Before each match he would shake hands with his opponents, then completely destroy them once the bell rings. He would wear expensive suits during interviews and always be polite to the interviewer. Batista already has a huge amount of tattoos on his body, like Max Cady from Cape Fear (the character Mercy was based on).

I think that's one of the best ideas I've heard tossed around for Batista in the "What if Evolution breaks up" discussions. Fine idea. I can't argue with the chance to see more of Batista in a suit, and by himself, not with Flair making gin-faces behind him and "woo"-ing randomly.

I like the idea of him being a lone wolf, and adding this to it would be perfect.

At some point, even in the wrestling business Logic is forced to shine through the bullshit.

The inmate running the Asylum crap is one explaination as how HHH got a lockerroom Beat down, But its another thing entirely, where the group is only 3 strong, and believe they have the strength in numbers. It was a dose of reality that a whole locker room against you, is STILL a locker room against you.
