Bush has won this election CLEANLY. I do not like the OUTCOME. I don't see what's so wrong with that, and why it keeps getting mentioned like it's a bad thing.

No, you guys are missing the important part that calling someone an antipatriot based on how they vote, when the country is nearly split, is deeply shitty. Not that their witty reparte has redeemed them.

No, Kerry's ACTIONS --- overturning an OBVIOUS decision because they don't like it is a petty and un-American act. Heck, as bad as Gore was, he only protested a few thousand.

Kerry is trying to overturn a result of about 120,000 votes. That is a major difference.

99% reporting in New Mexico and STILL no calls for Bush winning the state...

Everyone must be scared shitless of putting Bush over 269 EVs.

California's three strikes law is a tight race.

I'm starting to dislike Arnold's golden touch.

You mean you don't just GUSH over how he relates every single political statement to one of his movies?

I think you just made it seem like Bush stole it with your first post. If you are just upset with the result, I respect that. I'm not happy with this either.

Honestly, there is no point you should being attacked for not liking the results and being upset with the gay marriage bans.

Mike, please DO stop with the UnAmericanism speech. If that's the case, 48% of the country hates America. Anyone will tell you that is rubbish.

If you support fighting this obvious outcome, you are, as I figured, trying to tear down the political system because, like a petulant child, you are unable to handle a loss.

If the shoe fits --- and with Gabe, it does --- that's his problem.

Uh, not really. And if you want to say Bush won the popular vote, then you need to count all of them anyway.

I find it cute that you think Kerry has a prayer.

If George Bush is running this country, then It isn't my country, I didn't vote for him, he's not My President.

Oh, you're pulling this "He's not MY President" bullshit?

What are you, seven?

-=Mike

Why does that upset you so much? It's rather simple logic isn't it? If I didn't vote for him, why should I claim him as MY president?

As a politician, I still like him. I'm just finding myself on opposite fences from him for the first time on the DNA database and the Three Strikes amendment, and not enjoying the results.

There has been no foul play. I'm glad for that. Bush is the undisputed winner. More power to him.

Him having four more years in office scares me. Simple as that.

Gabe, if you're going to act like a whiny bitch, I have absolutely NO objections to restricting you to posting in the Whiny Bitch Forum.

This is beyond logic and has now degenerated into childing namecalling and denial.

If you can argue your case LOGICALLY, you can stay. If you do the "he's not my president" bit again, you're going on a trip.

the sad thing is, a lot of the races were tight on the CA initiatives, and you have to come to the reasonable conclusion that Arnold being Arnold, was the difference in convincing people to vote a certain way. I did respect him until I found out he blatantly lied about special interest money being used to fund his campaign. And the fact that he was meeting with Enron execs during the California energy crisis.

Because you live in a democracy where the guy you didn't vote for can still end up being your President.

This is pathetic, please stop.

I agree.

I just have to hope and trust he'll do a good job and hope the bad people were the advisors he got rid of.

Bush seems like he might be a decent guy. He's just got to show it.

I think the shock is just hitting me now.

Bush has won both the popular vote AND the electoral vote......a clear victory on both fronts.......

And the Democrats have STILL found a way to fuck things up.

why won't you answer my question? Give it a shot, Mikey Just give me a good, well thought out reason why I should claim him as MY president if I did not vote for him.

Again, are you an American citizen? If you are, then, no matter what your reservations or votes, he IS your President. Even if I didn't vote for her, Debbie Stabenow is my Senator. I got my choice, my choice lost. Live with it.

I asked earlier what the libbies would come up with as an excuse if Bush won both the EV and the PV, and I seem to have my answer.

I never voted for Carter, Reagan, Bush Sr or Clinton, because I was under 18 during those elections and he was still my President.

See how silly that logic is.

Look, I know for a fact that AMikeSC HATES Jimmy Carter with every bone in his body, but even he'd never say Carter was never his President.

what's so wrong with making sure all the votes are counted in THE swing state of this election? Heck, they arent even certain how many provisional ballots are out there. If this is such a lock for the GOP (which it appears), just sit back, relax and let democracy play it self out.

You're really that surprised? I'm not. I bet the Republicans would do the same thing. No way to know for sure, but in an election this hot, this polarized, this contested, I'm not surprised at all that these people who have devoted their lives to this campaign for months aren't ready to give up right now, even if it is a HUGE stretch to think that Kerry could possibly win somehow.

You have a point. The mental health bill is passing by a very large margin, and Arnold was against that, which was pretty predictable because it only taxes his tax bracket.

Eh, I think we all know that, we just want this entire thing to be OVER. We want no threat of another Florida, where we go a month without knowing who the fuck the President is.

No. This is done and Kerry and the rest of the Dems have decided to pout and kick their feet rather than do the classy thing and simply say "We lost".

With a margin this big --- no, I doubt the GOP would do it.
