Guest wrestling365 Posted November 7, 2004 Report Posted November 7, 2004 Former WWE Diva Gail Kim spoke about her surprising release yesterday on 'The Pain Clinic' radio show on HotTalk 1280 out of Rochester, NY. She said that she has been left shocked by the news and described it as a bolt out of the blue. "We had no idea that such a huge amount of cuts were going to be made," Kim said. "They'll probably be some more... things are going to change for WWE viewers." Kim says that she will now consider her options for a week or two, and then possibly enquire about work in the TNA promotion. At this point there are plans to release more talent. A well-placed source has told me that this could happen in the next few days or towards the end of the month. I know of one wrestler who has been offered a reduce in pay to avoid being cut, but out of respect to them I won't reveal their name. The Raw crew was in Laredo, TX on Friday night with La Resistance over William Regal/Eugene and Rhino/Tajiri, Simon Dean over Rosie (I guess that match will be on Raw this Monday), Val Venis over Stevie Richards, Trish over Lita, Gene Snitsky over Hurricane, Shelton Benjamin over Christian, Chris Benoit over Edge and Randy Orton/Chris Jericho over Triple H/Batista. (Thanks to Chris Garcia for the report) Wrestling365 reader Mike Starr sent this along. . . I went to the WWE ticket on sale in Charlotte yesterday morning and Ric Flair was there doing a signing. There was around 350-400 folks showed up. Flair was great he took time to talk and take pictures with everyone. But I think only about half the folks were there to by tickets. Former WWE star Ron Simmons was spotted on the sidelines yesterday at the Florida State-Duke college football game. Simmons was a consensus All-American in 1979 and 1980. Lance Storm has a new web column up talking about Edge's wedding and Ohio Valley Wrestling. He writes: "The great part about the wedding for me was that a lot of the boys were invited and I got to see a lot of the people I miss now that I am no longer on the road. Pretty much all of my past travel buddies were there so we had a great time. The Canadian Click was in full force with Val and Trish, and Benoit about the only Canadians not in attendance. There was even an odd bit of mishap/good fortune as a 90-minute delay in delivery of the wedding dress allowed for a brief Jeff Hardy cameo. It was good to see Jeff and for those of you who will no doubt ask, he is still very much Jeff and seems to be doing well." Storm also clarified the story making the rounds on Chris Candido: "Chris is not under OVW or a WWE developmental contract he just made a special guest appearance as a mystery tag team partner for Nova (now Simon Dean). I hadn’t seen Chris in quite a while so seeing him again was great. I’ve mentioned before that in wrestling the boys are like your extended family and when ever you cross paths again after a long period of time, it is like a family reunion; you pick right back up where you left off telling old stories." Former WWF wrestler King Kong Bundy turns 47 today. He recently put together a new website at www.kingkongbundy.com and would like for you all to check it out. For any promoters out there he is also accepting bookings.
Dark Age Posted November 7, 2004 Report Posted November 7, 2004 Val Venis over Stevie Richards So, I guess they weren't cut. Anyone missing from that card who should raise suspicion?
Guest Mordecai's Cathedral Posted November 7, 2004 Report Posted November 7, 2004 What about Tyson Tomko? Or is he injured?
Guest Banders Kennany Posted November 7, 2004 Report Posted November 7, 2004 It's strange Val was not there, as Edge is married to Val's sister. You should also give credit to sources you stole this from.
bob_barron Posted November 7, 2004 Report Posted November 7, 2004 Edge divorced Val's sister a while ago and remarried
Guest wrestling365 Posted November 7, 2004 Report Posted November 7, 2004 It's strange Val was not there, as Edge is married to Val's sister. You should also give credit to sources you stole this from. All "sources" as you put it are clearly identified in each news-bit. Try reading, instead of skimming Banders! Tomko was at the show in Texas alongside Christian. Don't know the name of Edge's new bride, but his first wife was Val Venis's sister Alannah...
Guest LooneyTune Posted November 7, 2004 Report Posted November 7, 2004 What about Tyson Tomko? Or is he injured? He's been injured for a while now, but only now he's taken a few weeks off.
Youth N Asia Posted November 7, 2004 Report Posted November 7, 2004 As far as I knew he was still engaged to Val's sister...I'm way behind

Guest LooneyTune Posted November 7, 2004 Report Posted November 7, 2004 Meltzer has been saying it all week, I'm sure everyone would know we expect more releases, but thats not the point (edited)
Guest wrestling365 Posted November 7, 2004 Report Posted November 7, 2004 I know of one wrestler who has been offered a reduce in pay to avoid being cut, but out of respect to them I won't reveal their name. That was the source. Cannot mention the name, promised not to. Maybe at a later date if something happens...
CanadianChick Posted November 7, 2004 Report Posted November 7, 2004 Don't know the name of Edge's new bride, but his first wife was Val Venis's sister Alannah... I've been doing a bit of snooping (please don't be so shocked!), and while I'm not 100% with the name, apparently it's a friend of Jericho and his lovely wife.
Guest Banders Kennany Posted November 7, 2004 Report Posted November 7, 2004 That's probably why Val wasn't at the wedding. Poor Val, this must have hit him hard.
Guest The Shadow Behind You Posted November 7, 2004 Report Posted November 7, 2004 Well, Jericho's wife is a fucking hottie. So I'm sure she hooked Edge up with an fellow hottie.
Guest The Shadow Behind You Posted November 7, 2004 Report Posted November 7, 2004 That's probably why Val wasn't at the wedding. Poor Val, this must have hit him hard. We haven't heard of Val and Edge having any issues since the Divorce, so I'm betting Val wasn't too affected by it.
The Mandarin Posted November 7, 2004 Report Posted November 7, 2004 Don't know the name of Edge's new bride, but his first wife was Val Venis's sister Alannah... I've been doing a bit of snooping (please don't be so shocked!), and while I'm not 100% with the name, apparently it's a friend of Jericho and his lovely wife. Now all you need is an ice pick and a plane ticket.
Guest Banders Kennany Posted November 7, 2004 Report Posted November 7, 2004 I actually thought Jericho's wife wasn't that pretty from the picture I saw at mirrorimages. I thought he could do better. He's very handsome.
Guest wrestling365 Posted November 8, 2004 Report Posted November 8, 2004 Jericho and his wife... Edge and his first wife... BOTH VERY HOT!!
Guest LooneyTune Posted November 8, 2004 Report Posted November 8, 2004 Edge has ugly feet and it looks like the dog is trying to look at his ex-wifes arse.
humongous2002 Posted November 8, 2004 Report Posted November 8, 2004 What about Tyson Tomko? Or is he injured? He's been injured for a while now, but only now he's taken a few weeks off. I got news for you: At tonight's Ft. Myers house show Carlito Caribbean Cool was apparently injured during a match with Bob Holly. I never saw the dreaded 'X' sign, but just about all the trainers and Sarge came to check on him after he took a bad fall out of the ring. He had to be helped to the back and lost the match via countout. After the show, I saw him walking out of the arena with his left arm in a sling. No idea how badly he's hurt. credit: PWInsider.com If Holly doesn't get fired after this I don't know what will.
bob_barron Posted November 8, 2004 Report Posted November 8, 2004 How do you know it was Holly's fault?
Guest LooneyTune Posted November 8, 2004 Report Posted November 8, 2004 ...Holly has just injured the 54,983th "new-comer" in the last year. It's 100000% Holly's fault. Anyone telling me that Holly is just "unlucky" and is just "there" whenever some new wrestler gets injured? Holly needs to be fucking fired already. He's a midcarder, and he's lucky to even have a job right now. He shouldn't be allowed to take advantage of young wrestlers, especially the CHAMPIONS. I was almost going to go to this show too, but I'm broke.
Guest Prof_Plague Posted November 8, 2004 Report Posted November 8, 2004 Val Venis over Stevie Richards So, I guess they weren't cut. Anyone missing from that card who should raise suspicion? Better not be cut. At this rate, there'll hardly be any wrestlers that I truly have grown to enjoy and appreciate.
bob_barron Posted November 8, 2004 Report Posted November 8, 2004 just about all the trainers and Sarge came to check on him after he took a bad fall out of the ring. I'm not saying Holly did it or not- but Carlito could've just fallen awkwardly. If it is Holly's fault then yes- fire him
Guest Prof_Plague Posted November 8, 2004 Report Posted November 8, 2004 Screw Tyson Tomko. ...He injured CCC!
Guest LooneyTune Posted November 8, 2004 Report Posted November 8, 2004 Ignore my rant about Holly. Worst case scenario: IF CCC is injured, who takes his place at Survivor Series? And who is the 4th member of Eddies team since bringing Cena in would make no sense then.
Lil' Bitch Posted November 8, 2004 Report Posted November 8, 2004 They probably fired Gail because they finally realized how much of a botchfest she was.
Promoter Posted November 8, 2004 Report Posted November 8, 2004 Holly again? This guy is worse than Ahmed Johnson for crying out loud. The guy's track record of turning everything bad continues.
