Tim Legler hit it right on the head on the halftime show. Completely ridiculous and selfish, even I can't defend him in this case.

 

If Shaq can work it around his basketball schedule, I'm quite certain Ron Artest can.

If this were the Ron Artest of 2 years ago he would have just got mad, punched someone and got a 10 game Suspension (equal to almost a month off I guess)

Personally, I don't see this as any different then when Kidd or Shaq wait late in the off-season to get surgery when they knew they needed it.

 

Artest could have done the same thing. Came up with some injury and use the "down time" to promote it and got no constroversy.

 

I appreciate his honesty in a way.

I would much rather prefer that plan, than going public with this revelation. Come to think of it, we play the Knicks next too...damn. Couldn't he have kept his mouth shut for just one more game.

:lol: @ Artest, I mean damn you got the whole summer to do other ventures, but yet he chooses the NBA season to do all this shit. I can understand if he didn't say he wanted time off and still wanted promote his album. Shit, he could hire a street team to promote his album during the season.

Well this IS Ron Artest. The guy that pretty much cost the Pacers a trip to the Finals with his elbow to Rip Hamilton's face.

The Pistons already had the game in hand, they were up four with under a minute to go. It was Jamaal Tinsley's atrocious game 5 that cost us the series.

I'm just glad that the mind-numbing idiocy isn't coming from a Portland player for once. Of course now he'll probably end up traded to the Blazers or something since they seem to collect headcases, cancers and whining bitches, with Artest looking to have lost his mind he'd fit right in. Hopefully we get a press conference or something with Artest completely bemused as to why people are pissed at him for what he's doing to add to this.
