Lil' Bitch 0 Report post Posted November 21, 2004 "Nothing Left To Lose" by Puddle of Mudd for Royal Rumble, used in the RR build-up. "Crossing Borders" by Rey Mysterio for No Way Out "Step Up" by Drowning Pool for Wrestlemania XX, used for in the Benoit / Helmsley / Michaels build-up. "Eyes Wired Shut" by Edgewater for Backlash "Sold Me" by Seether for Bad Blood for the Benoit / Kane build-up. "Summertime Blues" for SummerSlam "Survival of the Sickest" by Saliva for Unforgiven, used for the Orton / Helmsley build-up. "Ugly" by The Exies for Survivor Series, used for the Team Orton / Team Helsmley build-up A lot of good themes this year. My favorite would be "Nothing Left To Lose", the song plus used for the build-up for the PPV's main event was just so kick ass. "Ugly" was used pretty well with Survivor Series. Although "Step Up", 'Summertimes Blues", and "Survival of the Sickest" are up there. What do you guys think?

Guest Askewniverse Report post Posted November 21, 2004 How (and why) does one remember which songs were used for this year's PPVs? Even after reading the artist and title, I can't tell one theme from another.
claydude14 0 Report post Posted November 21, 2004 Being at Summerslam, hearing Summertime Blues after every match really got old. The song didn't pump me up in anyway and just seemed really bizarre, but then again everything was bizarre at Summerslam.
clean rob 0 Report post Posted November 21, 2004 The only ones of those that I can actually recall are 'Crossing Borders' and 'Summertime Blues'...and that's because they were both exceptionally bad PPV themes. The rest, I couldn't even make an attempt at humming, and I must have heard them all a fair few times. The last decent one was was 'St. Anger' for SS '03 IMO. Guest Evolution Report post Posted November 21, 2004 I liked the Taboo Tuesday theme. It was simple, and very technological, which was, for one of the first times, appropriate themage for a PPV show.

slimm44 0 Report post Posted November 21, 2004 Most of them are pretty good songs. No Way Out's was weak. Sold Me and Ugly are good but I would have to go with Puddle of Mudd or Drowning Pool as my top pick
Guest Anglesault Report post Posted November 22, 2004 The problem is that all these songs are the same generic type music and nothing stands out.
Art Sandusky 0 Report post Posted November 22, 2004 Drowning Pool v1.0 and Limp Bizkit were the only times they had good pay-per-view music.
Lord of The Curry 0 Report post Posted November 22, 2004 I think I may start a thread about the best tights HHH has worn this year just so this thread will have some contention for "Worst Thread of The Year" when we hand out the TSM Awards.

Lord of The Curry 0 Report post Posted November 22, 2004 I liked the white boots he wore @ WM. He never rocked the bicycle shorts in 2004 IIRC.

MillenniumMan831 0 Report post Posted November 22, 2004 I dug Summertime Blues and hated everything else. Although, I do like "The End" song they usually play for Armageddon.
Guest The Shadow Behind You Report post Posted November 22, 2004 Only once has the theme song meant a damn thing and that was Limp Bizkit's "My Way" for WMX7. That really should just be the official WM theme song now. *shudders to think Orton/HHH getting the Austin/Rock build up video package* I changed my mind. Aero 0 Report post Posted November 22, 2004 With the exception of the Rumble's song, which was used perfectly in the Rumble video package, just about every song sucked this year, especially "Crossing Borders" from NWO.
UseTheSledgehammerUh 0 Report post Posted November 22, 2004 "Step Up" was easily the best song.
Corey_Lazarus 0 Report post Posted November 22, 2004 "Survival of the Sickest," because Saliva is better than all of the other bands (well, aside from Rush, but they picked a SHITTY Rush song, and it's a cover, too). Plus, that's easily their best single to date, since the guy doesn't try to rap, and it's just a good ol' party rock tune.
Guest NateRizzle Report post Posted November 22, 2004 Step Up is good, Survival of the Sickest is decent, and the rest suck.

Taker666 0 Report post Posted November 22, 2004 The No Mercy theme song is one of my favorites this year, a bit creepyish. The Taboo Tuesday theme was pretty cool to and the Wrestlemania theme was also pretty good. everything else was pretty shitty. espeically Rey Mysterio's song. UGH! SamoaRowe 0 Report post Posted November 23, 2004 "Step Up" was by far the best PPV theme of the year. It has a great energy that made the show seem that much more exciting.

Guest Shutterspeed Report post Posted November 25, 2004 They all sucked ass, but at least WrestleMania's and Backlash's worked for the shows. Off the top of my head, the rest didn't even do that and thus are utterly forgettable.
UseTheSledgehammerUh 0 Report post Posted November 27, 2004 God, Backlash's was so awful. The PPV matchup screen would have like... "And get this, King, THIS SUNDAY, we'll see EDGE face KANE! Kane is a murderous evil man!! He's a killer!! A MONSTER!" :::background music::: (pussy chorus kicks in) "Eyes wide shutttt.....runnin' through my veins....now let's get HAPPY!!!"
