I was impressed, cause not even John Fogerty could do that that far in advance. Why is Bob Geldof giving himself a slot at Live 8? I like the Boomtown Rats, but he hasn't done anything anyone's listened to in 20+years. It just seems a bit egotistical.

I hate shows with multiple opening acts or any show with multiple opening acts unless its like a huge fesitval or something.Smaller shows I'm able to understand though for some reason but big shows, everybody's paying to see you anyways why have a bunch of opening acts.

Maybe his strength lays more in his creativity rather than his skillz (which he has ample amounts of). But he can keep up with anybody, that is... if ANYBODY dared to put him on their record. Then again I'll take creativity over talent anyday.

I checked a video of theirs on their website, they described themselves as a mix between Coldplay and Lifehouse. I was hoping that description was wrong....it wasn't. The damndest thing is that I have a hell of a time listening to the same song in a short period of time more than once. The buffer zone is usually about 3 hours. Two for Gimme Shelter.

They're decent enough, but I don't really like that kind of music enough to accept "decent enough", it has to be great. On the other hand, Napoleon Dynamite is in the band. I don't really like Mars Volta.
