The Czech Republic Posted December 5, 2004 Report Posted December 5, 2004 I've always loved the way Pink Floyd's Money starts. Don't get me wrong, it's the worst track on Dark Side Of The Moon. But I think it really has a great introduction, with the sound effects and then the bass line kicking in. Not that it's on DSotM, but it's criminal to name a Pink Floyd intro without mentioning One of These Days. Pigs Run Like Hell Shine On You Crazy Diamond (when the guitar first comes in, rather) Time all great Floyd openers
Myxamatosis Posted December 5, 2004 Report Posted December 5, 2004 The Walkmen - "The Rat" The starts off pretty well, stutters a bit and finishes up pretty well.
Edwin MacPhisto Posted December 5, 2004 Report Posted December 5, 2004 Has anyone mentioned Wu-Tang's "M.E.T.H.O.D. Man"? Between the "torture, motherfucker" part, the Wu-Tang roll call, and that big beat when Method Man actually starts rapping, it's got enough great beginnings for three different songs.
The Amazing Rando Posted December 5, 2004 Report Posted December 5, 2004 Run Like Hell Hell yes. I love that opening. Run...Run...Run...Run....
B. Brian Brunzell Posted December 6, 2004 Report Posted December 6, 2004 Has anyone mentioned Wu-Tang's "M.E.T.H.O.D. Man"? Between the "torture, motherfucker" part, the Wu-Tang roll call, and that big beat when Method Man actually starts rapping, it's got enough great beginnings for three different songs. I'll fuckin' sew your asshole shut and keep feedin' you,and feedin' you, and feedin' you, and FEEDIN' YOU!
Nighthawk Posted December 6, 2004 Report Posted December 6, 2004 I suspect that was the genesis of the Gravediggaz project.
B. Brian Brunzell Posted December 6, 2004 Report Posted December 6, 2004 Gravediggaz...now there's an act that I've been trying to forget about. Thanks, IDRM.
Nighthawk Posted December 6, 2004 Report Posted December 6, 2004 Eh, they weren't so bad. Had that Nelly meets CB4 meets Wile E. Coyote vibe going.
Red Hot Thumbtack In The Eye Posted December 6, 2004 Report Posted December 6, 2004 Gravediggaz was wonderful at times, and not good at times. RZA is surely my favourite hip hop/rap guy other than Dr Dre.

Toshiaki Koala Posted December 9, 2004 Report Posted December 9, 2004 "I've got something to say, I killed a baby today" (Last Caress) I've never heard this song, but it sure as hell ought to be Gene Snitsky's entrance theme. Come on, you knew it was only a matter of time before Snitsky made it into this thread.

DMann2003 Posted December 9, 2004 Report Posted December 9, 2004 The intro to "Ten Years Gone" is great (hell the whole song is beautiful) And though there's a lot of Eagle's hate on this board I must mention..."Hotel California"
