kkktookmybabyaway Posted December 3, 2004 Author Report Posted December 3, 2004 While I'm thinking about it... kkk, is it easier for you if I post my picks the way I've been doing it, or if I make a list of them like most other people do it? Personally, it's not a big deal -- do them how you want. The "easiest" way to post picks in regards to making it easier for me to jot them down would be to boldface your predicted winners like BX and Flyboy did in this thread. However, doing that is very mistake-prone (if you type a boldface code wrong, it could screw up your entire pick selection) as shown by SPACEMAN SPIFF'S CAR @ NO PICK. EDIT: He PM'd me with NO. I would include NoCal Mike along with Spiff, but his 3.5 is bolded for the Bills game, so I know he picked them. As long as you post your picks in the same order as the games appear in my first post of these threads, I don't care how you do it. Hell, I nearly bust a nut when picks get posted at all. I have an individual "scoresheet" for every team, and when you mark your picks here I mark them on the scoresheet. I also have a section on these scoresheets where I track regular-season PF's and PA's. I usually do the results while watching ESPN's Sunday Night Game, for those that wonder when and how I make all these calculations. I also usually mark down your picks while I'm at work, so it's not like I spend a lot of "free time" doing this...

Guest Vitamin X Posted December 3, 2004 Report Posted December 3, 2004 Anyone know Pennington's status for Sunday? He's stated he's starting and Jets are confirming that as long as nothing goes wrong in practices, he's starting. You'll have more info probably tomorrow night for sure. Ask and ye shall receive.. Pennington to start against Texans December 3, 2004 HEMPSTEAD, N.Y. (AP) -- Jets quarterback Chad Pennington will start Sunday against the Houston Texans after sitting out the last three games with a strained right rotator cuff. Coach Herman Edwards made the move official Friday, though it comes as little surprise. Pennington was listed a questionable all week, but he practiced with the first-team offense and took the majority of snaps with the starters. The biggest concern for Edwards was getting Pennington into game shape. Pennington has had no setbacks with his shoulder, and no pain or discomfort after three straight days of practice. ``I'm excited about playing with my teammates on Sunday,'' Pennington said in a statement. ``I feel confident that I can help the team compete. My shoulder is no longer a concern.'' Pennington got hurt Nov. 7 against Buffalo after a scramble. The Jets (8-3) went 2-1 without him, winning with backup Quincy Carter and staying in the playoff race. But the offense never got in a groove with Carter, scoring two touchdowns in the last two games. Earlier in the week, Pennington said he wanted to help the offense get back on track. ``If we are going to make a playoff run, we have to play more consistently as an offense,'' Pennington said. ``Most importantly, we have to score more points. Scoring less than 20 points a game is not going to allow us to win.'' The move also should help the team for it stretch run. It seemed clear the Jets wanted Pennington back this week, because next Sunday they play at Pittsburgh. They close the season with home games against Seattle and New England, then at St. Louis. Edwards and Pennington spoke about the decision Thursday night. Now Edwards wants to see how Pennington handles being in a game for the first time in a month. ``The thing that concerns me most now is when he gets hit. What's going to happen? That's what we'll find out when the game starts. His strength is fine. That's not the problem. It's easy right now because no one hits him. It's when he gets hit, what's going to happen. Any player coming off an injury, that's the first thing you concern yourself when it becomes live contact and they go to the whistle. It's different.''

Guest Vitamin X Posted December 4, 2004 Report Posted December 4, 2004 When you PM your picks, there's less chance of an opponent playing you rather than the picks, so it makes things a little more fair, in my opinion.
