kkktookmybabyaway 0 Report post Posted December 5, 2004 I'm joking, it's a play off of the whole Limbaugh controversy from ESPN. Well then follow through with it, hippie. A little kid just asked me if it was OK to post about the Yankees and Kurt Angle on TSM. (I'm not too keen on the AS hate; I'm assuming his talk reagarding these two topics, among other things, is what he was hated for around here...)
EVIL~! alkeiper 0 Report post Posted December 5, 2004 It was his constant bitching about almost EVERYTHING the Yankees did. A rumor comes up about Eric Milton, and he goes off. A report comes out that the Yankees initial offer to Carlos Beltran was ONLY $13.5 million/year, and he comes the bitch train. That he cheered for the Yankees had nothing to do with his banning. He was simply intolerable, and ultimately contributed nothing to the discussion.
the max 0 Report post Posted December 5, 2004 The fact that Milton is in his avatar is a fitting end to the thing.
Ravenbomb 0 Report post Posted December 5, 2004 He didn't constantly start post-whoring threads and act like a stupid douche, so he wasn't really in the Choken boat AFAIC. *shrug* For the record, has anyone else been banned before who had contributed articles to the site? I remember one of AS' rants being up on the main page before. I said he had a little bit of the "my opinion is fact" portion of the syndrome not that he was a full blown choken one all over again. on a completely unrelated note: What is your AV from? strummer 0 Report post Posted December 5, 2004 It's funny because AS pretty much reinvented himself at TSM. For the first 2 years, he was bitching and bitching about Angle, but the past year or so, that seemed to stop and he just started bitching about the Yankees only. I had a feeling he'd be gone the moment the Yankees lost game 7. There was no way he was making it through the entire off season
Vern Gagne 0 Report post Posted December 5, 2004 al's my new favorite mod. My question is. Does Al even pay attention to anything in the Sports Folder but Baseball?
EVIL~! alkeiper 0 Report post Posted December 5, 2004 al's my new favorite mod. My question is. Does Al even pay attention to anything in the Sports Folder but Baseball? Yes, I spot check threads. I always read through NBA threads, and I have interests beyond baseball. I don't often slag through football threads, but on occasion that a poster has a complaint, I check into it. The Metal Maniac 0 Report post Posted December 6, 2004 WDI can take him full time now. For the record, Anglesault originally got banned at WDI like, years ago.
The Amazing Rando 0 Report post Posted December 8, 2004 I just noticed that AS's member number was 69. I found it funny in the moment, and that moment has passed.

Guest Vitamin X Report post Posted December 8, 2004 No, I agree. 2003 was a landmark year. It was fun to board around here during that time.
alfdogg 0 Report post Posted December 9, 2004 2003 was the best of the three years that this board has been up. Of course, when you look at the overall state of this board now (Sports excluded), and look back at old posts from 2002, that's not really saying much. The Czech Republic 0 Report post Posted December 9, 2004 How do you call it "boarding" with a straight face.

Guest Vitamin X Report post Posted December 9, 2004 Who said "boarding"? I think I said board in my post up there, which was probably a result of my vocabulary forgetting to use post in that instance, if it was my fault.
