Art Sandusky 0 Report post Posted December 8, 2004 Pretty lame, as always. The best set of nominations are probably in Best Dance Recording: "Good Luck" Basement Jaxx Featuring Lisa Kekaula "Get Yourself High" The Chemical Brothers "Slow" Kylie Minogue "Comfortably Numb" Scissor Sisters "Toxic" Britney Spears Agreed. Kylie better walk out with another Grammy under her belt. I'm glad they nominated "Slow" rather than the much more enjoyable but too American-sounding "Red Blooded Woman." Guest The Shadow Behind You Report post Posted December 8, 2004 How does "Vermillion" get nominated for this? Duality would have made more sense. Vermillion was a fucking ballad. Hatebreed got nominated? That's gross. Killswitch isn't that bad and I'm confident there's been worst nominations in Metal before. Motorhead will pretty much take this one since the voters will look and go "I've heard of these guys. so there's my pick". Didn't The War Within JUST come out like a couple months ago; I believe the nominations were sent in late october. So TWW wasn't exactly in rotation long enough for nomination. As for Hard Rock? Velvet Revolver has the "name" but I'm certain Incubus who of all those bands had the better album and I doubt i can see Slipknot getting an award of two typical modern rock bands (Nickelback and Incubus), a Rock icon (metallica) and the hot new supergroup (velvet). seems to me like Slipknot was tacked on there. Placebo Effect 0 Report post Posted December 8, 2004 When did you meet Britney Spears? Seeing her say "I don't think people should really criticize the President" on 20/20 was enough to make me hate her.
Your Paragon of Virtue 0 Report post Posted December 9, 2004 When did you meet Britney Spears? Seeing her say "I don't think people should really criticize the President" on 20/20 was enough to make me hate her. It would gain her some points with about 80% of the CE regulars. claydude14 0 Report post Posted December 9, 2004 Rap Album: "To the 5 Boroughs," Beastie Boys; "The Black Album," Jay-Z; "The DEFinition," LL Cool J; "Suit," Nelly; "The College Dropout," Kanye West. It's gotte be Black Album or College Dropout. It's a real tough call for me, but I think I'd go with The Black Album.

Guest Agent of Oblivion Report post Posted December 9, 2004 I work with a woman who loves pop country with all her big stinking heart. Thus, I get exposed to the Kenny Chesneys and Gretchen Wilsons of the world. Here's some of her lyrics: 'Cause I'm a redneck woman I ain't no high class broad I'm just a product of my raising I say, 'hey ya'll' and 'yee-haw' And I keep my Christmas lights on On my front porch all year long And I know all the words to every Charlie Daniels song So here's to all my sisters out there keeping it country Let me get a big 'hell yeah' from the redneck girls like me, hell yeah I may not be a ten but the boys say i clean up good And if i gave em half a chance for some rowdy romance you know they would Ive been waiting all week just to have a good time So bring on them cowboys and their pick up lines Anyone who likes this music and only(mostly) this kind of music is fucking stupid, and I mean that literally. Unfortnately, and Nas "Street Disciple" probably won't get nominated. I think Nelly and LL shouldn't even be nominated, The Roots should've defintely should a got a nod. Art Sandusky 0 Report post Posted December 11, 2004 As much as I dislike Britney Spears as a person and as an artist, I wouldn't mind if "Toxic" took the award. The song just sounds great. "Toxic" is my favorite track of hers in a couple of years, but "Slow" is just flat-out awesome. 'course, I am kinda biased. To me, it successfully walks the fence between being too technical to be a dance song and making me want to move. It just feels more well-crafted than "Red Blooded Woman.'
