hbkhhhmark4life 0 Report post Posted December 14, 2004 Hey Smart Marks. This is my (very rough) opinion on what the ppv card will be... Elimination Chamber Maven-vs-Benjamin (Intercontinental Title) Eugene/Regal-vs-Christian/Tomko (Tag Team Title) Simon Dean-vs-Rosey or Hurricane Muhammad Hassan-vs-Mick Foley (Or someone else) (Very Rough Prediction) Snitsky-vs-Kane (Although I would rather see Kane return at da Rumble during the Rumble match to save Taker from Snitsky and Heidenreich during the Rumble match, but I doubt it happens ) Lita-vs-Trish (Womens Title) Let me know what you all think and what kind of matches you all have too. And sorry, i spelled revolution incorrect in the post title

algrim 0 Report post Posted December 14, 2004 I agree with most of your card, with the exception of the Hassan match. I think he has to be in a match where he totally squashes his opponent. Foley would probably put him over, but not in a squash match. Hurricane, Tajiri or Rhyno would be better candidates.
Guest LooneyTune Report post Posted December 14, 2004 Putting a PPV the same month as THE ROYAL RUMBLE is seriously fucked up logic. Vince McMahon should have his genitals ripped off by rabid wolverines... and I don't mean Benoit.

Guest The Shadow Behind You Report post Posted December 14, 2004 By throwing everyone decent worker other then Regal and Benjamin into one match they give one totally weak card. Benjamin/Maven is the #2 match on the card? That's really sad.

Guest The Shadow Behind You Report post Posted December 14, 2004 I'm sure they'll find a way to stick Flair into a match somehow. Flair/Tajiri for comedy? it wouldn't make the card any worst then it currently is.

Guest Phenom Report post Posted December 14, 2004 My card: Eugene Dinsmore and William Regal vs. Maven and Steven Richards for the Tag titles Lita vs. Molly Holly for the Women's title Mista Benjamin vs. Rob Conway for the IC title Simon Dean vs. Rosey Captain Charisma vs. The Hurricane Rhyno vs. Muhammed Hassan al-Syracuse and on Heat: Yoshihiro Tajiri vs. Sylvian Grenier
Guest The Shadow Behind You Report post Posted December 14, 2004 They pretty much set up Regal/Eugene Vs Christian and Tomko and Benjamin Vs Maven already.
Precious Roy 0 Report post Posted December 14, 2004 Well, this is going to be a total one match show and really tough to fill up the card with your top 6 guys in the same match, which is no doubt why they've put so much effort into the EC The card in the original post seems pretty likely: Snitsky v. Kane (will be the 2nd to top match on the card based on RAW hype, probably a gimmick match or an unsactioned "confrontation") Shelton v. Maven (not exactly PPV caliber and a shame if the belt goes on Maven, but it's obvious they're going in this direction so I won't argue) Simon Dean v. Hurricane (their RAW match was kind of sloppy but this has the best bet for delivering and making Dean look good, angle will be built around Rosey) Hassan v. Rhyno (total waste of Rhyno, but they need a JTTS here and he's really the only guy who fits the bill without hitting Venis/Richards jobber territory. If the manager guy can work make it a tag with Tajiri) Regal/Eugene v. Christian/Tomko v. La Resistance (might as well throw in La Resistance who will be doing nothing otherwise) Lita v. Trish (gonna need a gimmick for the rematch, I'd go with a strap match personally) Flair doing SOMETHING, it can only help the buyrate. Just goes to show how absurdly thin the rosters are, cuz this card looks like total shit apart from the main.
Guest Rrrsh Report post Posted December 14, 2004 Phenom Why is Mavens partner in the spoilers code? And where in the fuck did u pull Conway's name for a legit IC Contender?
Guest LooneyTune Report post Posted December 14, 2004 Conway and Maven are pretty even in most peoples books? It's pretty much set in stone Benjamin vs. Maven anyway.
CBright7831 0 Report post Posted December 14, 2004 Hurricane, Tajiri or Rhyno would be better candidates. Sadly.
Use Your Illusion 0 Report post Posted December 14, 2004 I might actually get this over the Rumble. The Rumble is so painfully fucking predictable this year and, unless Vince pulls out some massive main event that is going to rock my world, then I'd much rather check out the Elimination Chamber match at NYR.
Aero 0 Report post Posted December 14, 2004 The undercard will most definitely be only about 5 matches due to the main eventers all being in the main event. So, the EC will most likely go longer than the last one at Summerslam 03, around 40 minutes, again. But, I liked the long Survivor Series 02 match better than Summerslam's short match, so I don't mind.
Precious Roy 0 Report post Posted December 14, 2004 Yeah, and to do justice to the early eliminations, which will probably be Jericho and Edge, it's only fair that they get a lot of ring time. I'd like to see this match go at least an hour, and it will need to for this show to deliver.
SamoaRowe 0 Report post Posted December 14, 2004 Snitsky-vs-Kane (Although I would rather see Kane return at da Rumble during the Rumble match to save Taker from Snitsky and Heidenreich during the Rumble match, but I doubt it happens ) Actually, I think that is exactly what will happen As for my predicted NYR card... ... basically what you said too. There's not much room for surprises for this show (especially since it's coming up so fast).
Guest Loss Report post Posted December 14, 2004 I agree that a tournament would have made for a better card. HHH, Benoit and Jericho are all capable of going long and wrestling multiple times if need be.
algrim 0 Report post Posted December 14, 2004 We're the ones that like tournaments, but the WWE doesn't. Why do you think they did away with KOTR?
AndrewTS 0 Report post Posted December 14, 2004 We're the ones that like tournaments, but the WWE doesn't. Why do you think they did away with KOTR? WWE hates tourneys, loves battle royales. However, KotR sucked almost all the time, though...
Guest Loss Report post Posted December 14, 2004 They've never known how to properly book a tournament. An eight-man tourney is seven matches. They'd only need to add one or two other matches to have a complete show, and with all the top talent locked up in the main event, that's about all they could muster up anyway. Guest Phenom Report post Posted December 14, 2004 Phenom Yessssss? Why is Mavens partner in the spoilers code? Because nobody suspects Steven Richards! And where in the fuck did u pull Conway's name for a legit IC Contender? Out of mine arse.
