Chevy undoubtedly Chased some fans with Bush barbs

CHEVY CHASEstunned the crowd at a Kennedy Center award ceremony Tuesday night when he launched into a virulent anti-Bush rant, calling the president a "dumb f---."

He added, "I'm no f---ing clown either... This guy started a jihad," according to the Washington Post.

Chase raged, "This guy in office is an uneducated, real lying schmuck ... and we still couldn't beat him with a bore like Kerry."

The remarks were made during an awards ceremony that Chase was hosting for the liberal advocacy group, People for the American Way.

For most of the evening, Chase was on good behavior. He veered off track towards the end of the evening.

And Members of People for the American Way were not amused.

Founder Norman Lear told the Post, "I thought it was utterly untoward, obviously unexpected and unscripted and all that stuff. And, uh - it was Chevy Chase. He'll live with it, I won't."

And Sen. Tom Daschle, who went on after Chase, said: "I've had to follow a lot of speakers, but... "

Chase did not do a curtain call or attend a dessert reception after the event. The Post was told he had hurt his back and needed to call it a night by 9.

What, he could curse out the president, but he couldn't face a room of angry liberals? What a whimp!

Chevy's said before that he's a socialist, so this is no big deal.

I could say that those in attendance were applauding on the inside, but then the commies here would whine that libs can't win in regards to accepting or rejecting the rantings of a left-wing loon on stage, so I'll let this one slide...

When was the last time Chevy Chase was in something funny? Three Amigos? At least Bob Dylan and Bruce Springsteen are good artists.

"Hey. If any of you are looking for any last-minute gift ideas for me, I have one. I'd like Frank Shirley, my boss, right here tonight. I want him brought from his happy holiday slumber over there on Melody Lane with all the other rich people and I want him brought right here, with a big ribbon on his head, and I want to look him straight in the eye and I want to tell him what a cheap, lying, no-good, rotten, four-flushing, low-life, snake-licking, dirt-eating, inbred, overstuffed, ignorant, blood-sucking, dog-kissing, brainless, dickless, hopeless, heartless, fat-ass, bug-eyed, stiff-legged, spotty-lipped, worm-headed sack of monkey shit he is. Hallelujah. Holy shit. Where's the Tylenol?"

After his speach Chevy Chase should have made a putting motion followed up by those "whu-whu-whu-whu" noise and then acted as it went in the cup. From there he walks off the stage and there's a videoclip of this for me to watch.

Why is this even a news story?

Because this gives all the conservative douchebags in the media the chance to bitch and whine about how media types are liberal. You know, one of those ongoing circle-jerk arguments they trot out to try and distract you from important shit.

Between this and the "Attack on Christmas", we might not have to hear about Iraq until after the Holidays.

What's the big deal? Chevy was right for once, which one cannot say about most of his acting choices.

I guess there won't be a "National Lampoon's White House Vacation" movie coming out any time soon.

Movie Rolls aren't exactly piling up for Chase. He probably would do, a National Lampoons White House movie.

Even his good buddy Carson was quoted as saying that Chase could not ad lib a fart after a baked bean dinner.

Could people please link to the actual story being quoted (in this case, WashPost) instead of the editorial-within-a-news-story bile that is NewsMax? Swear to fuckin' God.

Don't really have an opinion about the story, but just making my obligatory "Friends Don't Let Friends Post NewsMax" message.

The presidential election of 2004, "The gift that keeps on giving."

This is really good entertainment. I enjoy watching the liberal elite crack up. The so-called tolerant among us, have no clue about acceptance. Of course a belief in God helps with this.

National Lampoon's, "Christmas Vacation," and "Caddyshack." THE BEST. Chevy should just stick to acting.

There's no way to post the article unless you're registered w/ LA Times, so the one I posted comes in close second.

First of all, the article is quoted as being from the Washington Post.

Second, the article is easily found by doing a search on their site for Chevy Chase. If you can't find it there, then use news.google.com to either find it or find a mirror story that isn't fucking NewsMax.

Third, http://www.bugmenot.com . Learn it.

Calm down, calm down.

But did Bette Midler ever sing to George during his presidency while george put his hand under his cheek and stared longingly? WELL DID SHE!!!

Chevy = 1

Bush Presidency = 0
