Suprnova and Torrentbits shut down

Both of these sites just shut down for good and are no longer offering torrents.

Fucking MPAA...

I swear to God this forum is turning into Piracy Tech Support more and more every month.

I'm suprised the **AAs shut down SuperNova. The site's files had long been monitored by the legal teams of those companies and despite the growing reputation that downloading from SuprNova was basically asking for a threatening letter to your ISP, people kept going there anyway.

In a sense, SuprNova was like the cheese in the mousetrap that idiots kept going to again and again. It would have been more effective to the **AAs to keep it alive.

I'm not worried. Somebody will eventually come along and once again be a provider for coveted material. :headbang:

What anime are these bitches in your sig from?

The lovely nekochan showing off her tummy is just a generic catgirl that is in the same clothing from Ragnarok Online's Hunter Class.

As for who the lovely nekochan stretching? I'm not sure actually. Just thought she needed placement into my sig.

Yes, god DAMN the MPAA for stopping people from downloading movies and TV shows that you dont pay for!

All my stuff is only temporarily till I have the money to purchase it. I prefer owning the original.

Damn people for actually having a life that might *GASP* miss an episode!

People that really have a life don't care about missing an episode of a TV show that they will be able to buy on DVD eventually anyways.

For one episode that they happen to miss? That's just stupid.

Especially if it's one of those shows where you'll miss something if you don't see all the episodes in sequence.

Why wait months and months just to spend $60 on something that they (literally) give out for free, just because you had to be somewhere else?

Another slant: Less buying of shitty dvd releases of tv shows that they like = less landfill.

And really, who's being put out of business when a comparatively small chunk of the population 'steals' them as opposed to plopping down their money like a zombie?

Learn to program a VCR/DVD burner...or get a Tivo.

And people think the box sets of TV shows are crazy, but if you think about it, although a lot of the popular DVDs right now are in syndication (Simpsons, Seinfeld), but they are edited down versions with extra commercials. The only way to see the originals is to have a tape of them from the original airing or get the DVDs. I really dont mind plopping down $25-40 for season sets of shows that I like (24 and the Simpsons right now, Id get X Files if they weren't STILL $80+ a piece)

If I have a chance, I get the DVDs whenever possible, because I just don't like watching stuff on the PC.

Though, I think what everyone is saying, is that they usually download missed episodes of currently running shows. There's nothing wrong with that.

I don't have a Tivo, and don't feel like messing with burners. Considering I don't watch that many shows, and I buy the discs (when they come out) for the ones I do..I don't think they can really say anything.

I don't have a VCR or a DVD burner and I'm not shelling out cash for a Tivo. Just get over it.
