Guest 5.0Fanatic Posted January 23, 2005 Report Posted January 23, 2005 Baldo-Train. Yep you read that right, he's set to debut in a local indy out here. Whats really sad though is I heard the annoucement that he's set to debut, but somehow missed the one that said Bryan Danielson was going to debut on their show last week, so I missed seeing Danielson.
Guest netslob Posted January 23, 2005 Report Posted January 23, 2005 that's a joke, right? if not...christ that sucks. why not just Baldo, or even B-Train?
Guest Phenom Posted January 23, 2005 Report Posted January 23, 2005 Baldo-Train is the worst fucking name for a wrestler, Indy or not. I defy you to name someone worse.
Mystery Eskimo Posted January 23, 2005 Report Posted January 23, 2005 Heh. If that's real, it's awesome. His real name is Adam Bloom, I think? That'd be perfectly acceptable. I actually wouldnt mind seeing him in indies just to see if he has more than he could show in WWE.

Itch Coma Weider comes immediately to mind. His real name is Adam Bloom, I think? That'd be perfectly acceptable. Steviekick Posted January 23, 2005 Report Posted January 23, 2005 It's Matt Bloom. Baldo Train has to be one of the worst names anyone could have picked.
Cuban Linx Posted January 23, 2005 Report Posted January 23, 2005 That's really awful. Go back to Albert or something if he wants to stick with his WWE identity, Baldo-Train is just crap.
Dandy Posted January 24, 2005 Report Posted January 24, 2005 He can't use Prince Albert, Albert, or A-Train because they are property of the WWE. He is using Baldo from his previous gimmick, and Train from his last WWE gimmick (which he no doubt wants to use because of the name recognition). Sadly, the combination does suck a big one.
Precious Roy Posted January 24, 2005 Report Posted January 24, 2005 He'll probably switch to B-Train, he just needs to justify the switch from "A" to "B" by embarassing himself for a couple months to keep the E from busting him on it
UseTheSledgehammerUh Posted January 24, 2005 Report Posted January 24, 2005 If he wants name recognition, he should go with "Aye-Train"... Baldo Train sounds like a gay porn video.
Guest netslob Posted January 24, 2005 Report Posted January 24, 2005 If he wants name recognition, he should go with "Aye-Train"... or he can bill himself from Canada and be "Eh-Train". Baldo Train sounds like a gay porn video. eewww...your right.
Zack Malibu Posted January 24, 2005 Report Posted January 24, 2005 I saw him listed on the Observer site for something as just Baldo. This could also be the promoter using that name in order to sell tickets off the recognition, which isn't a bad idea save for the fact that the name is toolish.
King Cucaracha Posted January 24, 2005 Report Posted January 24, 2005 "The Train" Matt Bloom would have been SO much better.
Toshiaki Koala Posted January 29, 2005 Report Posted January 29, 2005 He should call himself Suck-Train. Since he, you know, sucks. And that's your quintessential smarkish comment of the day courtesy of Spine Upon The Pine.
thuganomics Posted February 1, 2005 Report Posted February 1, 2005 Who in the blue hell is he working for?
Guest 5.0Fanatic Posted February 2, 2005 Report Posted February 2, 2005 The initial post was about him wrestling here at Impact Zone Wrestling in AZ.

Is there a copyright on Albert? It seems like that would be a hard one to lock up. I understand a full name (i.e. Shawn Michaels), but I would think it would be hard to get just "Albert" to be sole property of WWE. Baldo-Train though? He'd be better of being Al-Train or even Big Al.
Detective Comics Posted February 2, 2005 Report Posted February 2, 2005 I take it Japan isn't interested in him?
2GOLD Posted February 2, 2005 Report Posted February 2, 2005 Is there a copyright on Albert? It seems like that would be a hard one to lock up. I understand a full name (i.e. Shawn Michaels), but I would think it would be hard to get just "Albert" to be sole property of WWE. They might have tied it up to his likeness. They couldn't copyright it if Albert was his real name, but I'd imagine they can seal it down since Albert was a gimmick designed by the WWE and his likeness is hooked to the gimmick. But if his real name had been Albert, they couldn't touch him.
