Yeah, how the mighty have fallen, eh? Yeah, but he's getting paid playing a sport he loves. Even though their owner is an asshole, I'd rather play for the Cards than stock grocery shelves. How's the AZ O-line? I can't imagine it's very good...

Which makes their ineptitude on offense even more astonishing. Especially considering the division they play in (What, 2 games each against the Seahawks, Niners, and Rams isn't good enough to bolster your offensive stats?!)

They got some good young players on the D, they can probably get one of the top corners in the draft and still get a productive back (either in the second round or Travis Henry), and Warner should at least give their QB position some productivity. On the subject of uniforms, the Jags all black is pretty cool as well

iggymcfly Posted April 25, 2005 Report Posted April 25, 2005 I swear, if you just change the word "Cardinals" to "Falcons", those are the Atlanta jerseys. I was wondering why they looked so damn familiar. And while it's obviously a little early to make predictions, I think the Cardinals are winning the division next year. Warner's still a legitimately solid starter (despite what the media would have you think), and would have taken the Giants to the playoffs last year if he hadn't got benched for Eli Manning. Antrel Rolle is an NFL-ready corner, and could easily win Rookie of the Year next year. Meanwhile, JJ Arrington is the absolute steal of the draft, as he's got more talent in his little toe than Cedric Benson has in his whole body. With that solid O-line and the weak division, the Cards look like they might even be the de-facto team that comes out of nowhere, goes 11-5, and then makes it to the conference championship.
Black Lushus Posted April 25, 2005 Report Posted April 25, 2005 You know, for the past few seasons, the Cards have been one of those teams that looks like, each game, they are going to pull it out, but always end up falling flat for some odd reason...perhaps Denny can finally get them going since he's had a year already to get established with his system...they're one of those teams I actually keep hoping will someday do something, along with the Bengals...

I have only been to one Arena game, and that was two years ago, I was just commenting on the low quality of the design. It looks second rate to me. Like someone said above, I liked the all red they had, gave them a unique look. This looks like all those XFL/AFL/NFLEU* jerseys with 4 stripes and squares and slashes that are really just lame attempts at "updating" the teams look. *Or whatever the abbreviation for NFL Europe is.
