Tawren Posted February 3, 2005 Report Posted February 3, 2005 That's just the 2003 PPV's in a box. Who wants those anyways?
USC Wuz Robbed! Posted February 3, 2005 Report Posted February 3, 2005 Doesn't make sense. How can it be the BEST if it includes EVERY and EACH PPV? It's like saying they put out the best possible product EVERY month, which we all know isn't true.
cbacon Posted February 3, 2005 Report Posted February 3, 2005 How many of those PPV's were actually good? The Rumble, Mania and Vengeance are the only ones that seem to stick out. SummerSlam was so-so.
Guest Askewniverse Posted February 3, 2005 Report Posted February 3, 2005 The set isn't anything special. WWE offered the box for free if you bought all twelve DVDs.
Guest The Shadow Behind You Posted February 3, 2005 Report Posted February 3, 2005 The Royal Rumble was crap save for the WWE Title match that is available on the Benoit dvd. WMXIX is decent with 2 ***+ matches but yet still bland feeling. Vengence was the 2003 Pay Per View and was actually best PPV for wwe since Summer Slam 2002. Vengence had TBS/Angle/Lesnar Triple Threat Title WGTT Vs Kidman and Mysterio Undertaker Vs Cena Benoit Vs Guerrero Gunn Vs Knoble (Best Gunn singles match...ever) A very fun APA Invitational amusing Gowan Vs McMahon match aside from the crappy but short Stephanie Vs Sable match, Vengence was a great pay per view.
Kahran Ramsus Posted February 3, 2005 Report Posted February 3, 2005 Did anybody know that this existed? Yes, and they made dumb choices. Like having the Lingerie Match in the top ten matches of the year. I seem to remember Rock/Austin from Mania not being on it, while Taker/HHH was. Stuff like that.
BifEverchad Posted February 3, 2005 Report Posted February 3, 2005 It was pretty much what was on the "Best of 2001" RAW episode at the end of 2001.
The Dames Posted February 3, 2005 Report Posted February 3, 2005 Did anybody know that this existed? I own it. It's clipped matches but the only reason why I got it is because its the only DVD I know of that has the Benoit/Jericho vs. Two Man Power Trip match where Trips tears his quad. Dames
Taker666 Posted February 3, 2005 Report Posted February 3, 2005 For me, The Royal Rumble,WrestleMania,Vengeance, and Survivor Series were the best PPVs of 2003. and I thought Survivor Series was the best PPV overall in 2003 IMO.
Jobber of the Week Posted February 3, 2005 Report Posted February 3, 2005 Did anybody know that this existed? Appearantly, it comes from an alternate bizarro universe where Rob Van Dam performed with the WWF in 2001.
UseTheSledgehammerUh Posted February 3, 2005 Report Posted February 3, 2005 Uh, Van Dam was the breakout star of 2001. Vs. Jeff Hardy, Invasion Vs. Jeff Hardy, SummerSlam Vs. Chris Jericho, Unforgiven Vs. Steve Austin, Smackdown! Vs. The Rock, Raw Main Event Vs. Austin Vs. Angle, No Mercy Main Event Vs. Team WWF, Survivor Series Vs. Undertaker, Vengeance
UseTheSledgehammerUh Posted February 3, 2005 Report Posted February 3, 2005 BTW, someone should tell WWE and Amazon that it is a 13 disc set, not 12. WM 19 was double-disc.
Jobber of the Week Posted February 3, 2005 Report Posted February 3, 2005 Uh, Van Dam was the breakout star of 2001. Vs. Jeff Hardy, Invasion Vs. Jeff Hardy, SummerSlam Vs. Chris Jericho, Unforgiven Vs. Steve Austin, Smackdown! Vs. The Rock, Raw Main Event Vs. Austin Vs. Angle, No Mercy Main Event Vs. Team WWF, Survivor Series Vs. Undertaker, Vengeance Shit, for some reason I thought Invasion was 2002. I guess it's the effects of the HyperBooking going on during that period. The whole Invasion/NWO thing feels like one big blur.
UseTheSledgehammerUh Posted February 3, 2005 Report Posted February 3, 2005 It's better if you just lump both all together when trying to forget about them.
MARTYEWR Posted February 3, 2005 Report Posted February 3, 2005 Did anybody know that this existed? I own it. It's clipped matches but the only reason why I got it is because its the only DVD I know of that has the Benoit/Jericho vs. Two Man Power Trip match where Trips tears his quad. Dames I only have the VHS version of that DVD. Does the DVD have Benoit/Jericho-Austin/HHH clipped or in full?
Guest Lawlerm Posted February 4, 2005 Report Posted February 4, 2005 Doesn't make sense. How can it be the BEST if it includes EVERY and EACH PPV? It's like saying they put out the best possible product EVERY month, which we all know isn't true. Well it doesn't actually say anywhere other than Amazon that it's a "Best Of". It doesn't look like the WWE promoted it as such.

Jericholic82 Posted February 4, 2005 Report Posted February 4, 2005 actually that box set looks pretty cool. I already own wm 19 dvd (the only 2003 ppv dvd i do have btw) and if they are selling for a discounted price I say why not? then again this comes from the guy who actually bought the wrestlemania legacy 1-14 vhs box set for 149 bucks
