I've also had 2 years of college, I'm bilingual (and know some French and Italian well enough to understand basic conversation), can type 85 WPM, also know Word and Excel, and have worked 4 years in customer service at different companies, 1 1/2 of which as an assistant manager at Blockbuster (anyone who's worked at a busy video store knows this can be a major bitch) and the most I've ever been paid was $8.58/hour at Blockbuster.

So don't worry, you're not alone.

In terms of hispanics, it's Mexicans (concentrated mostly along border states like California and Texas, as well as Chicago), Puerto Ricans (concentrated mostly in New York), then Cubans (spread out, and EXTREMELY concentrated in South Florida).

I'm pretty sure there's a hefty Asian immigrant population along the West Coast as well.

Any major city in the US has various small enclaves of standard immigrants: Mexicans, Chinese, Middle Easterners, whatever. (Well, those Mexican groups ain't always that small.)

CronoT is an idiot. Take this shit to Current Events.

This is too controversial. He'll get suspended to the e-feds for sure if he does that.

What I don't understand about Mexicans is the way they plaster decals of farm animals all over their vehicles. I asked a guy once, the dude had no idea. He did it because all the other Mexicans did it.

Also once I saw this truck, it was a violent shade of aquamarine, had cows and sheep and roosters all down the sides of it. It had curtains on the windshield (drawn back as this thing was driving down the road, but real, honest to god curtains). Had a fucking huge horse as a hood ornament. Not rearing back or anything, it was in a very docile pose. It was blaring mariachi music. After Prince's bike in Purple Rain, that's the vehicle I'd most like to own.

all Mexicans are fans of the San Diego Padres. They also love Ms. Pac-Man.

I never understood Mexicans driving around thumping Mexican resturant music...

Probably like they never understood why your people all smoke and drink Mountain Dew.

I don't smoke. Nor do I really care for Mountain Dew.

Sure, honkey. Don't think I'm not onto you. With your Michael Bolton music, your "Coca Cola", whatever fast food craze you people try to pass off as food, that unco-ordinated shaking you call dancing, and your muscle cars (or is that Italians?).

Crazy white people.

Don't forget their stupid reality shows, too. I don't know a single non-Caucasian person who watches American Idol, or the Bachelorette, any of that shit.

You'd be surprised about the size of the Vietnamese population in SE Texas, I think. Some corner of the state. There's enough of them in there to be a major target of the local KKK sect, the only one that targets Asians of any sort specifically.

While we are on the subject. Why is it that Americans always confuse race with nationality? they are 2 very different things. Take American for example...you can't tell me that every American looks the same, or Puerto Rican..there's black puerto ricans there's asian puerto ricans there's really really white puerto ricans and there's the light skinned ones who I think are the ones who move the most to the U.S.A. Most people think most dominican are black when in fact most of us are Arabian or Italian.

You get my point?

Puerto Ricans aren't really Immigrants since they are part of U.S.A. It's like if you live in Washington and move to Oregon.
