The Metal Maniac Posted February 12, 2005 Report Posted February 12, 2005 Guys...hate to break it to you, but most WWE fans don't care about London or Akio. That's why they don't make a big deal about it on Smackdown. You've got that backwards. The WWE doesn't make a big deal about London or Akio. That's why most WWE fans don't care about them.
RavishingRickRudo Posted February 12, 2005 Author Report Posted February 12, 2005 Dude, it doesn't matter if the WWE hypes them up, cruiserweights will never be over.
Twisted Intestine Posted February 13, 2005 Report Posted February 13, 2005 What time does Velocity even come on at? I'd kind of like to check this out. 11pm EST
Guest Fook_Theta Posted February 13, 2005 Report Posted February 13, 2005 And why would they have a ladder match at WM? Neither of them hold a title...and WWE isn't going to waste time at Wrestlemania on a low card match like that. London was asked some questions a while back, and mentioned something about doing a ladder match in the future. He could have just said it off the cuff, but then again it is a higher possiblity that he was serious. At the very least it is in the back of his mind for something to push to creative/booking.
Guest ShootingStylesPress Posted February 13, 2005 Report Posted February 13, 2005 He was talking to me in Halifax. Everyone blew it out of proportion. We were talking to Paul about his ROH street fight against Shane and his SSP off the ladder. He talked about how he'd love to do one, but he could only do it against the right people, like Akio. Then people jumped to some conclusions.
Styles Posted February 13, 2005 Report Posted February 13, 2005 This is my first time listening to this commentarry team. They remind of the ROH commentators, and not in the good way...
Tawren Posted February 13, 2005 Report Posted February 13, 2005 "They like to sit back, observe, and react to what they see." Ohhh. They observe and react to what they see. Good thing they cleared that up.
Styles Posted February 13, 2005 Report Posted February 13, 2005 Actually, this guy is reminding me more of Don West without the Southern accent. Stop YELLING!
BUTT Posted February 13, 2005 Report Posted February 13, 2005 Jesus, he really does say "solar plexus" a lot.
Kahran Ramsus Posted February 13, 2005 Report Posted February 13, 2005 I missed the ending to the Dupree/Holly match. What happened?
strummer Posted February 13, 2005 Report Posted February 13, 2005 I missed the ending to the Dupree/Holly match. What happened? Alabama Slam-----> Holly Wins
Kahran Ramsus Posted February 13, 2005 Report Posted February 13, 2005 I'm amazed they would even let Holly in the ring with him after last time.
Guest Fook_Theta Posted February 13, 2005 Report Posted February 13, 2005 Then people jumped to some conclusions. Who is jumping to conclusions here? If he does a ladder match, it will most likely be done with Akio. Fantasy booking comes into play and I know I would like to see London vs Akio Ladder Match at Wrestlemania as a total show stealer. This years Wrestlemania doesn't look to be as well booked as even last years, so it is very well possible that if they did put on a match it would have a decent chance at being 'Match of the Night.'
JoeDirt Posted February 13, 2005 Report Posted February 13, 2005 Haas/Spike...Spike cracks me up for some reason. Have the writers done anything with Haas since he dumped his women at Armageddon?
DMann2003 Posted February 13, 2005 Report Posted February 13, 2005 You mean I haven't missed London/Akio yet? YES!!!
JoeDirt Posted February 13, 2005 Report Posted February 13, 2005 How did Haas win that one? I was watching Duke/Maryland.
DrVenkman PhD Posted February 13, 2005 Report Posted February 13, 2005 Move theft! The seeds for Haas vs Benjamin at WMXXI are now set.
Guest Phenom Posted February 13, 2005 Report Posted February 13, 2005 SNL is on. Horatio Sanz as Kim Jong Il is hilarious.
JoeDirt Posted February 13, 2005 Report Posted February 13, 2005 I love the Razor Ramon sig. The look Benoit gives Christian in this commercial is hilarious.
DrVenkman PhD Posted February 13, 2005 Report Posted February 13, 2005 Thanks, and to answer your question, Haas more or less used Benjamin's finisher to win (although slightly differently... he did it standing up without leaving the mat, then went for the pin)
DerangedHermit Posted February 13, 2005 Report Posted February 13, 2005 Jason Bateman is fucking hilarious
CanadianChick Posted February 13, 2005 Report Posted February 13, 2005 Whoa, London looks jacked in that picture.
JoeDirt Posted February 13, 2005 Report Posted February 13, 2005 Whoa, London looks jacked in that picture. I think he took his supplements when he took time off to that broken nose.
Guest Fook_Theta Posted February 13, 2005 Report Posted February 13, 2005 Finally saw the WMXI Basic Instinct parody, and that was loads better than all the parodies released since the RR. Why can't we see 5-10 sketch that good every week?
ChrisMWaters Posted February 13, 2005 Report Posted February 13, 2005 Akio did a Rock pose for the fans.
