Probably about as long as it took them to come up with whomever the fuck "Slick" is.

Wile E.'s analog. I guess he's the gadget guy since his ancestor seemed to ACME's #1 customer.

If it was Yakky Doodle then you wouldn't be able to understand a goddamn word of it. God, I hate that little shithead.

You sure you're not thinking of the duck from some of the Tom and Jerry cartoons?

Two questions:

1. Is this show actualy going for a serious show?

2. How godd was Looney Tunes: Back In Action?

1. Apparently

2. Depends on who you ask. I thought it was good, the subplot between Bugs and Daffy was suprisingly well done. Brendon Fraser didn't completely embarrass himself, and thats all anyone could have asked from him. He also did the voice for Taz too.

I thought that was... fuck, I need to brush up on my obscure cartoon characters. *watches Kwicky Koala*

I shook my head at this concept as I read about it when I was checking out 8-Bit Theatre (web-comic) and I thought, "ok, this might suck, but I'll give it a go. Can't be that bad."

Then I saw that preview and I'm sorry. I can't honestly see this going beyond a single season if that.

Tiny Toons was pretty good for what it's worth.

On topic: I've been laughing maniacially the entire time I've spent reading this thread. I don't think I've seen something so abstractly stupid that it's just comes out funny. I get the joke. I really, really get the joke here. Wouldn't it be hilarious if this all turned out to be an early buzz for a massive April Fools joke?

Edit: I just watched the preview movie, and this HAS to be a fucking April Fools Joke.

Tiny Toons was good, this will suck, and it has squat to do with anime. 'Nuff said.

Two silver linings:

1) It's still hand-drawn.

2) The only reason it's upsetting is that they're meant to be descendants of the current WB cartoon crew. If this were a series all by itself with no connection other than people saying how the characters remind them a little of the originals, it wouldn't be all that bad.

The modern attempts at the 30s-60s cartoon shorts have actually been pretty good. The voices aren't the classic ones, but they're still enjoyable, especially the one that was released in 1990 (can't remember the name) about Bugs' 50th anniversary.

EDIT: And talking about the old ones, I always thought What's Opera, Doc? was overrated, but Duck Amuck has fortunately overtaken it as the best one ever in books and lists on the subject recently. It's probably in my top five, but not my favorite. The Slappy Squirrel MGM cartoons are criminally forgotten many times.

Did anyone else ever want to see a free-for-all between the WB, MGM and Hanna-Barbera characters? If not a rumble, just a piece where they're all in it.

Do maybe a Laff-a-Lympics/Battle of the Network Stars thing? Definitely.

Cartoon

Funny shit.  Keep the volume down though if there're sensitive ears around.

Ok, that is pure brillience

Here's the uncensored version

The thing that annoyed me most watching the preview isn't the new show. It's how WB thinks about the characters. That sort of thinking about the "magic" of the classic shorts is what Disney is all about. Looney Tunes' more risque cartoons were created in response to the wholesome Disney shorts. Someone in WB's marketing team never realized that.
