Vern Gagne 0 Report post Posted February 21, 2005 These moments didn't occur in every episode, but be damned if they weren't on a regular basis. Bo and Luke Duke would get in a shirtless fist fight, usually because Bo thought Luke was jealous of his new girlfriend...when in fact she was only using Bo. The fight would be broken up, by Uncle Jesse firing a shotgun in the air. When the Incredible Hulk was shot it was always in the shoulder. A very special episode, always has even more unfunny forced jokes.
starvenger 0 Report post Posted February 21, 2005 (edited) - As pointed out by useless moron useless moron Scott Keith, Deanna Troi gets overwhelmed by emotion. - Ric Flair turns on Sting - The bad guy would've gotten away with it if it weren't for those pesky/nosy/damn kids... - "Polkaroo was here? And I missed him again?" Edited February 21, 2005 by starvenger
razazteca 0 Report post Posted February 22, 2005 Nobody ever got shot on a A-Team episode, also if a car ever got shot at it would explode and flip. On the Dukes of Hazzard the sheriff would always catch a celebrity in a speed trap and force then to sing at the bar. Fox would cancel fan favorite tv shows and replace it with a cheap reality program.

Vern Gagne 0 Report post Posted February 22, 2005 The ending for Chips where the best ever. Usually they'd show Ponch with a big grin, and the music would start. Than they'd go unfreeze, and show Baker laughing, and than freeze it again, ony to unfreese it and show Ponch laughing hysterically.

JHawk 0 Report post Posted February 22, 2005 Odds are that in soap operas, the father of an expectant mother's baby isn't the boyfriend/husband of the expectant mother. The Amazing Rando 0 Report post Posted February 23, 2005 The most ridiculous examples are Power Rangers and Inspector Gadget. from what I've seen, EVERY SINGLE episode had a very simple formula that was adhered to strictly. My favorite Inspector Gadget was in Switzerland I think, with the gold bars and the cuckoo clock maker, and the riddle or whatever that Penny solved with the statues that caused everything to crumble and be destroyed (i think). I must have watched that 100 times when i was younger, but damn if i can remember much about it.
starvenger 0 Report post Posted February 23, 2005 The most ridiculous examples are Power Rangers and Inspector Gadget. from what I've seen, EVERY SINGLE episode had a very simple formula that was adhered to strictly. You know what's funny? This season's Power Rangers (S.P.D.) has actually deviated a bit, by having the Megazord fight act almost as bookends to the show. Then again, the exec producer is a guy that does seem to take the online fanbase to heart when trying to put together a season, so maybe that has something to do with it. strummer 0 Report post Posted February 23, 2005 On the Cosby Show, Cliff was always interrupted when trying to eat his abnormally large submarine sandwich. On Family Ties, Alex showing he actually does have compassion. By the next episode, I guess we were supposed to forget this, as he was back to being heartless On Head of Class, the kids always questioning Howard Hessman's teaching style, only to learn he was "teaching them a lesson in life" in the end

KK Rage 0 Report post Posted February 23, 2005 Cheers: Norm walks in, everyone shouts his name. Woody/Sam asks him if he wants a beer and he comes up with some witty comment. He sits at the bar the rest of the episode. Cliff acts weird and everyone points it out. Carla is a complete bitch to everyone except Sam and Norm. Sam swoons over Diane/Rebecca while sleeping with 100 other women on the side. Woody inserts random jokes here and there that make him look completly moronic. Also, Homer Simpson always finds a new career or calling in life and it ends up being right where he started. You haven't watched enough Married With Children. Don't ever speak ill of it again. On the contrary, I've seen just about every single episode of Married with Children there is to see. That was my favorite TV show during its run. But you have to admit there was a formula to it. KK Rage 0 Report post Posted February 23, 2005 Re: Married With Children Al works at the shoe store. A fat woman demands a size that is way too small. Al comes home and bitches about it. Peg tries different ways to get Al to have sex with her. Bud tries to get laid. Once in a while he actually succeeds but usually ends up fucking his blow up doll. Kelly acts like a dumb slut in general and sleeps with random people. Her other slutty friends make random appearances. Marcy and Jefferson come over at least once. Marcy talks about her and Jefferson's sex life and Al calls her a chicken. Jefferson pretends to like sleeping with Marcy but when he talks to Al it is generally some sort of "Please God, put me out of my misery" schpiel. Al watches TV and sticks his hand down his pants. At least once per episode he reads a copy of "Big Un's" or talks about going to the Nudie Bar. The entire family talks shit about Al's car (The Dodge) but he insists on keeping it until it dies. Not that I don't love the show, but it really did have somewhat of a formula.
Guest Vitamin X Report post Posted February 23, 2005 Those are running jokes, not formulas. The formula for almost every single one of their show was the one I explained, in which Al gets some sort of get rich quick scheme, something that'll give him hope and then be let down at the end. That show was Murphy's Law personified.
