alfdogg Posted February 22, 2005 Report Posted February 22, 2005 Tue, NBA TV Boston @ LA Lakers, 10:30 PM ET Wed, ESPN Houston @ San Antonio, 9 PM ET Thu, TNT Philadelphia @ New York, 7 PM ET Sacramento @ Dallas, 9:30 PM ET Fri, ESPN Cleveland @ Indiana, 8 PM ET Detroit @ LA Lakers, 10:30 PM ET Sat, NBA TV Indiana @ New York, 7:30 PM ET This is the first-ever "Rivalry week" in the NBA.
Guest Vitamin X Posted February 22, 2005 Report Posted February 22, 2005 I'd think Sacramento-LA would be more of a rivalry for recent memory than Detroit-LA. And certainly more than Sacramento-Dallas.
Guest Mosaicv2 Posted February 22, 2005 Report Posted February 22, 2005 Not most of these teams are actually rivals today or yesteryear except probably the Celtics and Lakers... how about the Bulls and Pistons hooking it up this week!
EVIL~! alkeiper Posted February 22, 2005 Report Posted February 22, 2005 Is this the last ever Spike Lee-Reggie Miller matchup at the Garden?
alfdogg Posted February 22, 2005 Author Report Posted February 22, 2005 No. We play there April 5th also.
alfdogg Posted February 23, 2005 Author Report Posted February 23, 2005 Pacers lead by 24 in Orlando after three quarters. Good way to start the second half of the season.
alfdogg Posted February 23, 2005 Author Report Posted February 23, 2005 Just saw that Shaq had to be helped off the court in the 1st quarter against the Bulls...he caught the ball under the basket and when he came down, Othella Harrington was under the basket laying down after Wade drove into the lane, and Shaq landed on top of him then grabbed his knee.
Guest Vitamin X Posted February 23, 2005 Report Posted February 23, 2005 Did Othella Harrington yell TIMBERRRRRRR
MrRant Posted February 23, 2005 Report Posted February 23, 2005 No. We play there April 5th also. When did you join the Pacers?
Guest Vitamin X Posted February 23, 2005 Report Posted February 23, 2005 And the Heat go down to the Bulls 105-101!
MrRant Posted February 23, 2005 Report Posted February 23, 2005 Sonics win it at the end against Houston on their worst 3pt shooting night of the season going 3 for 24.
Guest Mindless_Aggression Posted February 23, 2005 Report Posted February 23, 2005 And the Bulls pull one out in OT. I know Okafor's numbers are better, but if Ben isn't a serious contender for rookie of the year, I swear to God I'll...well I probably won't do much, but I'll be pretty displeased.
Guest Vitamin X Posted February 23, 2005 Report Posted February 23, 2005 Lakers beat the Celts 104-95. That made me day. Odom and Mihm both had double doubles. They wore the powder blue uni's which always look awesome. But they were still getting killed on the boards. Maybe Boozer would be a good idea.
Ripper Posted February 23, 2005 Report Posted February 23, 2005 And the Bulls pull one out in OT. I know Okafor's numbers are better, but if Ben isn't a serious contender for rookie of the year, I swear to God I'll...well I probably won't do much, but I'll be pretty displeased. Okafor numbers had been dropping actually. I say Ben should win this thang if nothing else because of the bulls success which he is a major part of. hell, he has basically been their 4th quarter offense in about a dozen games this year.
Guest Flyboy Posted February 23, 2005 Report Posted February 23, 2005 Sonics win it at the end against Houston on their worst 3pt shooting night of the season going 3 for 24. At least the Rockets were in the game all the way through...
The Electrifyer Posted February 23, 2005 Report Posted February 23, 2005 And the Bulls pull one out in OT. I know Okafor's numbers are better, but if Ben isn't a serious contender for rookie of the year, I swear to God I'll...well I probably won't do much, but I'll be pretty displeased. If the rookie of the year award was based purely on the fourth quarter, Ben would have it in the bag easily. It's a damn shame that it isn't!
alfdogg Posted February 24, 2005 Author Report Posted February 24, 2005 Not to diss the Spurs, but the Rockets are handing them this game on a silver platter.
Cuban Linx Posted February 24, 2005 Report Posted February 24, 2005 Shareef Abdur-Rahim returned tonight for Portland against the Lakers, conveniently just in time to show the rest of the league he's healthy enough for a trade, though Reef's been involved in trade rumors pretty much since the day he arrived in Portland and they haven't happened yet so who knows.
King Kamala Posted February 24, 2005 Report Posted February 24, 2005 Boston Celtics trade Jiri Welsch to the Cavs for 1st round pick in 2007 Hornets trade Rodney Rogers and Jamal Mashburn to the 76ers for Glenn Robinson Bucks trade Mike James to the Rockets for Reece Gaines and future 2nd round picks. The Electrifyer Posted February 24, 2005 Report Posted February 24, 2005 Houston finally gets a real point guard!
The Czech Republic Posted February 24, 2005 Report Posted February 24, 2005 Hasn't Houston gone through like half the league's guards already
Black Lushus Posted February 24, 2005 Report Posted February 24, 2005 damn, now i gotta start my ESPN 2K5 season all over again... Black Lushus-one of those dorks that closely follows real life trades and signings and makes the changes in the video games right away...
The Electrifyer Posted February 24, 2005 Report Posted February 24, 2005 Hasn't Houston gone through like half the league's guards already Yeah but all those others guys sucked. Mike James is actually good.
CanadianChris Posted February 25, 2005 Report Posted February 25, 2005 Since the other thread was closed...Shaq is day-to-day with a mild knee sprain.
Kurt Angle Mark Posted February 25, 2005 Report Posted February 25, 2005 WOOOO!!! Clippers ended their 8-game losing streak tonight against the T-wolves For a minute there I felt that they were never going to win again this season
Conspiracy_Victim Posted February 25, 2005 Report Posted February 25, 2005 Hasn't Houston gone through like half the league's guards already Yeah but all those others guys sucked. Mike James is actually good. Actually, Sura's done a helluva job at the point. Just that Van Gundy's facination with old Knicks means we've been subjected to Charlie Ward and Rod Strickland so far this season as well. Besides, we got Moochie Norris, so we get him and his horrible contract back. I guess it's fitting, the Rockets signed him to that abomination of a deal.
