slabinskia 0 Report post Posted March 10, 2005 I'm sure this has been done before but I'm bored so why not.Make your own wrestlemania ppv using one match from each wm.You can only use each wrestler once and you must have a match from each show. You can have as many of them be title matches as you want but no wrestler more than once.I will post mine later. Guest LooneyTune Report post Posted March 10, 2005 So we could use the World Title a possible 6 times? That throws the "1 match per wrestler" logic out the window, doesn't it?
res37618 0 Report post Posted March 11, 2005 So we could use the World Title a possible 6 times? That throws the "1 match per wrestler" logic out the window, doesn't it? I think some ground rules should be set for this thread: 1) No one can wrestle more than once 2) Only one match from each WrestleMania 3) Each title (current or inactive) can be defended only once. Here's mine - let's see if I do OK: The Ultimate WrestleMania Main Event: World Heavyweight Title - Triple Threat Match HHH vs. Shawn Michaels vs. Chris Benoit WWE(F) Title Kurt Angle vs. Brock Lesnar The Rock vs. "Hollywood" Hulk Hogan WWE(F) Intercontinental Title "Macho Man" Randy Savage vs. Ricky "The Dragon" Steamboat Submission Match - Special Ref: Ken Shamrock Bret Hart vs. "Stone Cold" Steve Austin WWE(F) Tag Team Title Tables, Ladders, and Chairs II Dudleys vs. Hardy Boyz vs. Edge/Christian Lawrence Taylor vs. Bam Bam Bigelow WWE(F) Women's Title The Fabulous Moolah vs. Velvet McIntyre Undertaker vs. "Big Daddy Cool" Diesel $15,000 Slam Match Andre the Giant vs. Big John Studd Arn Anderson & Tully Blanchard vs. Tito Santana & Rick Martel "Ravishing" Rick Rude vs. "Superfly" Jimmy Snuka The Ultimate Warrior vs. Hercules Earthquake vs. Adam Bomb Mixed Tag Team Match "Marvelous" Marc Mero & Sable vs. Goldust & Luna Vachon "Texas Tornado" Kerry Von Erich vs. Dino Bravo WWE(F) European Title Shane McMahon vs. X-Pac The Steiner Brothers vs. The Headshrinkers Big Bossman, Virgil, Sgt. Slaughter, & "Hacksaw" Jim Duggan vs. The Nasty Boys, The Repo Man, & The Mountie WWE(F) Hardcore Title - 15-Minute Battle Royal The Acolytes, Sho Funaki, The Headbangers, Crash & Hardcore Holly, Mean Street Posse, TAKA Michinoku, Tazz, & Viscera **************************************************************** There you have it - Damn, my brain hurts after that. If you see any discrepancies, feel free to let me know, but I think the whole thing works out. 20 matches, no title defended more than once, no wrestler on the card more than once, and no duplicated WrestleManias. It's damned difficult to get the good matches on there without having to put crap from others. Hopefully, I minimized the crap and made the most out of it. Guest LooneyTune Report post Posted March 11, 2005 I'll try, but damn it's going to be hard... Wrestlemania: (Womens Title) Leilani Kai v. Wendi Richter (Richter was almost as big of a star as Hogan at the time) Wrestlemania 2: Tito Santana & JYD v. The Funk Brothers (underated match that rarely gets its due) Wrestlemania III: The Killer Bees vs. Nikolai Volkoff & Iron Sheik (no other match stood out that was in the undercard) Wrestlemania IV: British Bulldogs & Koko B. Ware vs. Islanders & Bobby Heenan (no other choice here after all other selections) Wrestlemania V: Mr. Perfect vs. The Blue Blazer (good undercard match) Wrestlemania VI: (M$T) Ted Dibiase vs. Jake Roberts (needed to get them on the list) Wrestlemania VII: (Career v. Career) Randy Savage vs. The Ultimate Warrior (Warriors best match EVER, and awesome story throughout the match) Wrestlemania VIII: Tatanka vs. Rick Martel (Filler) Wrestlemania IX: Steiner Brothers vs. The Head Shrinkers (only good match... available) Wrestlemania X: Doink & Dink vs. Bam Bam Bigelow & Luna (more filler) Wrestlemania XI: (Intercontinental Title) Jeff Jarrett vs. Razor Ramon (no other choice for a match that I enjoyed than this) Wrestlemania XII: The Undertaker vs. Diesel (Diesels best non HBK/Hart match) Wrestlemania 13: (Submission Match) Bret Hart vs. Steve Austin (Just plain awesome) Wrestlemania XIV: (L-HW Title) TAKA Michinoku v. Aguila (filler really, since I wanted a LHW/CW match listed) Wrestlemania XV: Bart Gunn vs. Butterbean (best WM moment that year) Wrestlemania 2000: (Tag Team Titles) Dudley Boyz vs. E&C vs. Hardyz (only match I enjoyed available on the show, so I decided to drop the TT from X-7 for this) Wrestlemania X-Seven: (Hardcore Title) Raven vs. Big Show vs. Kane (entertaining, plus I couldn't use it for WM 2000 thanks to TAKA) Wrestlemania X-8: Hulk Hogan vs. The Rock (Awesome...) Wrestlemania XIX: (WWF/SD Title) Kurt Angle vs. Brock Lesnar (Not in love with this, but only one available really) Wrestlemania XX (RAW World Title): Triple H v. Shawn Michaels v. Chris Benoit (awesome again)
Kahran Ramsus 0 Report post Posted March 11, 2005 WWF Championship "The Nature Boy" Ric Flair (w/ Mr. Perfect) vs. "Macho Man" Randy Savage (w/ Miss Elizabeth) - The second best WWF Title match in Wrestlemania history, after Rock/Austin at X-7, and Austin & Rock are needed for other things. World Championship Triple H (w/ Ric Flair) vs. Booker T - One of two World Title matches, and I have to lose the other because of HBK being involved. An underrated match and possibly Booker's best in the WWF. Hulk Hogan vs. The Rock - A legendary match between the two biggest mainstream wrestlers ever. Not great, but nobody cares, much like Hogan/Andre. Submission Match - Special Referee Ken Shamrock Bret "The Hitman" Hart vs. "Stone Cold" Steve Austin - My pick for not only the greatest Wrestlemania match ever, but the greatest WWF match ever. The historical importance of this match is astonishing. It made Steve Austin. Ladder Match for the WWF Intercontinental Championship Razor Ramon vs. Shawn Michaels (w/ Diesel) - One of the two classics from X had to be here, and Bret Hart actually has a better match than the one here. Shawn Michaels would be a footnote in history without this match. Ladder Match for the WWF Tag Team Championship The Dudley Boyz vs. The Hardy Boyz vs. Edge & Christian - The stand out match of Wrestlemania 2000, my favourite in the series, and the peak of tag team wrestling after the 1980s. Million Dollar Championship Jake "The Snake" Roberts vs. "The Million Dollar Man" Ted Dibiase (w/ Virgil) - Good match from a show lacking in them, and it gets two of the top stars of the 80s on the show. Chris Benoit vs. Kurt Angle - A good solid match and a different flavour then everything else on the card. $10000 Body Slam Challenge Andre the Giant vs. Big John Studd (w/ Bobby Heenan) - You can't have an all-time Mania card without Andre the Giant, and the crowd was into it so why not? His last moment of glory before the back problems really began to set in. Lumberjack Match Lawrence Taylor vs. Bam Bam Bigelow - XI was not a good Wrestlemania, but this was better than expected and drew some outside media attention, so it makes sense to have it on this card. Hollywood Backlot Brawl Goldust vs. "Rowdy" Roddy Piper - This is to get Piper on the show more than anything. WWE United States Championship The Big Show vs. John Cena - Here because I used Christian elsewhere. WWF European Championship Shane McMahon (w/ Test) vs. X-Pac - Wrestlemania XV was a complete waste, but this match was at least somewhat entertaining. WWF Lightheavyweight Championship Taka Michinoku vs. Aquila - Short and inoffensive. Greg "The Hammer" Valentine (w/ Jimmy Hart) vs. Ricky "The Dragon" Steamboat - Best match from Wrestlemania IV. Tito Santana & Junkyard Dog vs. The Funk Brothers (w/ Jimmy Hart) - Underrated match. The Undertaker (w/ Paul Bearer) vs. "Superfly" Jimmy Snuka - Gets Taker on the card, and it is back when he was really really cool. The Headshrinkers (w/ Afa) vs. The Steiner Brothers - Need something from IX and I'd rather avoid the Doink match if I can. Mr. Perfect vs. The Blue Blazer - Nice match early on at one of my favourite Wrestlemanias, and it gets both Hennig & Owen on the show. The Can-Am Connection vs. "Cowboy" Bob Orton & The Magnificent Muraco (w/ Mr. Fuji) - Decent fast-paced opener from Wrestlemania III.

Chris Jericho vs. Christian - Decent match from Wrestlemania XX, and the best left after all the top guys are used elsewhere. Disqualified - Christian used in two matches!! IWD 0 Report post Posted March 11, 2005 Here's my effort: World Title: Chris Benoit vs Shawn Michaels vs Triple H (XX) - my personal favourite WrestleMania main event WWE Title: Brock Lesnar vs Kurt Angle (XIX) - a good, strong match, with a crazy finale Intercontinental Title: Randy Savage vs Ricky Steamboat (III) - undoubtedly one of the best matches of the 80's Brother vs Brother: Owen Hart vs Bret Hart (X) - my favourite WrestleMania match ever Tag Titles: The British Bulldogs vs The Dream Team (II) - Dynamite needs to be here, good solid match in all respects too No Disqualification: The Undertaker vs Ric Flair (XVIII) - arguably Undertaker's better WrestleMania match, and a chance to include the Nature Boy European Title: Shane McMahon vs X-Pac (XV) - one of the better matches at WrestleMania XV Light-Heavyweight Title: Taka Michinoku vs Aguila (XIV) - entertaining high spot action Million Dollar Title: Jake Roberts vs Ted DiBiase (VI) - solid match with two workers in their prime Women's Title: Wendi Richter vs Leilani Kai (I) - part of the whole WrestleMania story Lumberjack Match: Lawrence Taylor vs Bam Bam Bigelow (XI) - sports meets sports entertainment Chicago Street Fight Match: The Legion of Doom & Ahmed Johnson vs The Nation of Domination (XIII) - entertaining hardcore match Hollywood Backlot Brawl: Roddy Piper vs Goldust (XII) - more entertaining hardcore action (check Piper's autobiography for some interesting stuff on this match) Hulk Hogan vs Sid Justice (VIII) - Hogan deserves to be on somewhere, it's just difficult to get him on the card with anyone else Ultimate Warrior vs Hercules (IV) - filler The Brain Busters vs Strike Force (V) - great technical action The Texas Tornado vs Dino Bravo (VII) - filler Eddie Guerrero, Dean Malenko & Perry Saturn vs Chyna & Too Cool (XVI) - Eddie needs to be included The Steiner Brothers vs The Headshrinkers (IX) - essentially filler, but The Steiners were still a fascinating team at the time Gimmick Battle Royal The Iron Shiek, Luke, Butch, Duke Droese, Doink the Clown, Nikolai Volkoff, Tugboat, Earthquake, Gobbledy Gooker, Hillbilly Jim, Brother Love, Sgt. Slaughter, Michael Hayes, One Man Gang, Kamala, Jim Cornette & The Goon (XVII) - filler Yep, I booked a card without Rock or Austin on it. Cheers.

what 0 Report post Posted March 11, 2005 Wrestlemania 1: Wendi Richter vs. Lelani Kai (Woman's Title Match) - Nothing outstanding from the first Wrestlemania so I figure that I'd put this on here because I can't think of any women's wrestling classics from any WrestleMania. Wrestlemania 2: Don Muraco vs. Paul Orndorff - Filler. Liked both of these guys and there's nothing else to put on here from Wrestlemania 2. Wrestlemania 3: Randy Savage vs. Ricky Steamboat (IC Title) - One of the greatest matches of all time. Wrestlemania 4: Rick Rude vs. Jake Roberts - This would be my chance to get Rude on the card and he's one of my favorites of all time. Same for Roberts. I loved their feud. Wrestlemania 5: Arn Anderson & Tully Blanchard beat Tito Santana & Rick Martel - Wanted to get the Brain Busters on here. And if I remember, this was the match where Martel turned and became the Model. Historic shit. Wrestlemania 6: Bad News Brown vs. Roddy Piper - Wanted to get Piper on the card and I really liked Bad News Brown. Enjoyed their feud too. Wrestlemania 7: Virgil vs. Ted Dibiase - Had to get the Million Dollar Man on and there were no better choices. Wrestlemania 8: The Bushwhackers vs. The Beverly Brothers - This will be the necessary dark match/opener to warm the crowd up. Oh, those Bushwhackers and their wacky antics! Wrestlemania 9: Mr. Perfect vs. Lex Luger - I forget how this match was but I needed to get Perfect on the card. I remember the Headshrinkers/Steiners match being good but not good enough to take Perfect's spot away. Wrestlemania 10: Bret Hart vs. Owen Hart - My second favorite match of all-time (next to Bret/Taker from Summerslam 1997). Can't see having a Super Wrestlemania without it. Wrestlemania 11: LT vs. Bam Bam Bigelow - Not a bad match and a celebrity has to make it on here somewhere. Plus, this was a horrible WrestleMania. Wrestlemania 12: The Undertaker vs. Diesel - I remember really liking this match when it happened. It probably sucked but I must have liked the buildup or something. Diesel really started to shine toward the end of his WWF run with a heel turn. Wrestlemania 13: HHH vs. Goldust - I don't remember this match but both guys were very good workers so I'm sure it wasn't bad. Another case of having other guys tied up for the future. Wrestlemania 14: Steve Austin vs. Shawn Michaels (World Title) - Great match with great buildup. Started the beginning of the Austin era. Would main event this card. Wrestlemania 15: Bob Holly vs. Al Snow vs. Billy Gunn (Hardcore Title) - There has to be a Hardcore match doesn't there? Wrestlemania 2000: Dudley Boyz vs. Hardy Boyz vs. Edge and Christian (Tag Team Title TLC) - Hell of a spotfest. Three extremely over teams in their prime. Great match. Wrestlemania 17: Eddie Guerrero vs. Test (European title) - Necessary to get all the titles onto the show. And Eddie too. WrestleMania 18: The Rock vs. Hulk Hogan - Would be my favorite match of all-time if Hogan would have won. Awesome match. WrestleMania 19: Brock Lesnar vs. Kurt Angle (WWE Title) - Going with the two world title defenses theme. This would be the co-main event. Good match. Had to get both guys on here. WrestleMania 20: Cruiserweight Invitational (Cruiserweight Title) - Only to get all the titles on the card. Shit, that was tough work.

CanadianGuitarist 0 Report post Posted March 11, 2005 Wrestlemania: Lelani Kai vs Wendi Richter...Gotta have a women's title match, and I like opening the show with a secondary title match. Wrestlemania 2: Tito and The Junkyard Dog vs. The Funks....What's not to like about all four of these guys. Wrestlemania 3: Hogan vs Andre...Come on. It was the most anticipated match ever. Still the top draw of all time if I'm not mistaken. I've never liked Hulk but did mark out when he slammed Andre. Feel a little guilty not having Savage/Steamboat, however. Wrestlemania 4: Steamboat vs Valentine. Gotta like the Dragon, and I know a guy named Greg Valentinn, but he doesn't like being called Hammer. As such, I'm a Hammer mark. Wrestlemania 5: Mr. Perfect vs Blue Blazer. Feel terrible about not having either of these two on the card, though I wanted Bret/Owen from X(my favourite match EVER. Wrestlemania 6: Dibiase vs. Jake the Snake. I prefer The Snake as a heel, but gotta have both these guys on the show. My favourite heels ever, no question. Wrestlemania 7: Savage/Warrior. Awesome match, even if I never liked either of em. Wrestlemania 8: Beverly Brothers vs Bushwhackers. Loved em both when I was a kid...not really sure why. I also know a woman named Beverly, who is now tired of my asking if her last name is Brothers. Wrestlemania 9: Stieners vs Headshrinkers...Filler. Wrestlemania 10: HBK vs Razor Ramon. Hate em both, but the match revolutionized wrestling. Wrestlemania 11: Bam Bam vs. LT...Process of elimination leaves these two to represent the show. Not a bad match, and I do mark for the Beast from the East. Wrestlemania 12: Piper vs. Goldust. Hated it, but it's not WM without the Hot Rod. Wrestlemania 13: Bret vs. Austin, submission. Love em both, face or heel. DOuble switch got Austin's career going, great match all around. Wrestlemania 14: Aguila vs. Taka. Wanted to have Austin/Michaels, but they both do better already mentioned. Also wanted Rock/ Shamrock, an underated match, and I loved the Rock as a NOD heel. Aguila vs Taka was a quality match. Wrestlemania 15: Boss Man vs Taker. Never liked the Taker, but it is Wrestlemania. Loved the Boss Man, always did. He died the day I bought a new car for fuck's sakes, and I stil think sadly of that day. Instantly depressed, despite getting a phone call not 5 seconds after purchasing my car. Wrestlemania 16: TLC. No question, awesome match. I still refuse to say Wrestlemania 2000. Wrestlemania 17: Benoit vs Angle. Great match, great workers. Wrestlemania 18: RVD vs William Regal. Always liked both these guys. I'm still mad over Hogan/Rock's finish. Wrestlemania 19: Booker T vs HHH. Pretty good match, I found. Wrestlemania 20: Rock and Sock vs Evolution. Feel incredibly bad about the 3 way dance, but it wasnt a total loss as all 3 were represented. Good match here, loved where Flair strutted through the People's Elbow. They all had better WM matches, save Batista, but I'm happy with this. You weren't kidding, that was hard.

And Shawn Michaels was reduced to a Rockers tag match, but it was good. II & IV are the most notable filler matches. Hogan vs. Sid is there only to get Hogan on the card. For XIX, it was either the Women's Title or Cruiserweight Title, and I chose the better match. I decided to use only one World Title match, for the hell of it.
