Nevermortal Posted March 14, 2005 Report Posted March 14, 2005 Coming back from Long Island today, my friends and I decided to take a pit-stop in Stamford to attempt to get into Titan Towers. Observations: 1) The placement of the building is extremely weird. Instead of being in a big business sector type place, it's smack in the middle of a residential neighborhood, with houses literally next to the office. 2) If you have to "use the bathroom" on a Sunday, check at the McDonalds nearby because there's no one in the lobby to buzz you in. Not that you'd probably get in. 3) We saw Jim Ross himself enter into the underground garage, piloting a maroon Ford Expedition with HUGE chrome rims on it. He's much fatter looking in person, and was smoking Virginia Slims, a hillarious cigarette choice. Should we ever travel by the place again, we will make a serious attempt to gain access to Vince's personal office, so we can snort his private stash of coke and pilot his wheelchair.
CanadianChick Posted March 14, 2005 Report Posted March 14, 2005 Ross smokes? Doesn't Vince *hate* it when his employees smoke?
MillenniumMan831 Posted March 14, 2005 Report Posted March 14, 2005 I'm surprised Vince let JR kiss his ass w/ that tobacco breath.
Guest Failed Mascot Posted March 14, 2005 Report Posted March 14, 2005 take me next time NeverMortal. I'm on the way and willing to cause some trouble.
Nevermortal Posted March 14, 2005 Author Report Posted March 14, 2005 You live in Worcester, right? Actually, you're kinda out of the way. We'd have to perform an arcane highway shuffle to get back to 95 and such. Unless you got to 91 and went that way. Unless I'm thinking wrong, I'm notoriously bad with my highways.
CBright7831 Posted March 14, 2005 Report Posted March 14, 2005 Anyone remember when Austin visited Titan Towers when he was CEO. He took a piss in Vince's office later on in the night didn't he?
Enigma Posted March 14, 2005 Report Posted March 14, 2005 He had tons of cow shit shoveled into Vince's office.
Guest Shadow Posted March 14, 2005 Report Posted March 14, 2005 is it true Vince's Corvette that was poured in Cement is on display outside?

All I know is you can get to Conn by going through Mass so I'm on the way technically.
Fökai Posted March 14, 2005 Report Posted March 14, 2005 is it true Vince's Corvette that was poured in Cement is on display outside? It's supposedly in the lobby of Titan, according to a few writers who have toured the building during an interview with Vince.
Nevermortal Posted March 14, 2005 Author Report Posted March 14, 2005 It definitely wasn't outside, and I couldn't see it from the main entrance.
Guest Dale Earnhardt Posted March 14, 2005 Report Posted March 14, 2005 Vince really should open a section of Titan Towers up for the fans to enter and tour. Is there a reason that Vince is so hush-hush about letting people into Titan? I hear that it's impossible to get in. He could make plenty of money by letting the fans enter and tour a portion of the place.

Read a few previous posts in the thread. As much of a joke they are, would *you* let your HQ open to wrestling fans? Didn't think so. Besides, it is only a bunch of offices with a gym on the top floor and a few wrestling rings in the basement. The TV studios around the corner would be a more interesting visit.

That's why I said a section. Have a room full of wrestling stuff. I've heard stories about the Million Dollar Title and the concrete filled car being in Titan Towers. Why keep this locked up? I'm sure that Vince has some spare room to create a museum. Vince would benefit from making an actual Hall of Fame/Museum building. Surely a once a week tour during the summer would bring in money. You'll bring in tourists and it'd only happen one day per week. It'd show WWE as a open, fan friendly company and it'd be a money maker. It'd make money based on the curiousity factor.
Guest Failed Mascot Posted March 14, 2005 Report Posted March 14, 2005 They're his toys and he doesn't wanna share.
Secret Agent Posted March 14, 2005 Report Posted March 14, 2005 I second a real WWE Hall of Fame/Museum. For the money Vince's wasting on a Kane movie he could have one already.
Twisted Intestine Posted March 14, 2005 Report Posted March 14, 2005 Sure, why not? They can store all their wrestling memorbilia in there for people to remember. Like.. Mrs. Vick.
Guest Dale Earnhardt Posted March 14, 2005 Report Posted March 14, 2005 Sure, why not? They can store all their wrestling memorbilia in there for people to remember. Like.. Mrs. Vick. WWE auctioned that off and RD Reynolds bought it. But, Vince could easily rake in money with a museum. Even put a ring in the center and let the fans stand in the ring and be able to bounce off of the ropes to get a feel of what it's like to be in a ring.
Dobbs 3K Posted March 14, 2005 Report Posted March 14, 2005 "Even put a ring in the center and let the fans stand in the ring and be able to bounce off of the ropes to get a feel of what it's like to be in a ring." You can do that at almost any indy show. Might be cool if it was a real WWE ring though, I guess. They probably don't open a museum like that because they don't want to deal with constant smark questions like "Does Triple H run everything?" and "How many guys have done steroids in WWE?"
Secret Agent Posted March 14, 2005 Report Posted March 14, 2005 In that case they just have the tour guides recite generic answers. If they even have tour guides. I've never had one for all the numerous museums I've been to.

And the correct answer would be "yes" and "tons".
Nevermortal Posted March 14, 2005 Author Report Posted March 14, 2005 Why exactly did this thread spur serious discussion? Worst.
geniusMoment Posted March 14, 2005 Report Posted March 14, 2005 On the old Prime Time Wrestling shows didn't they have an audience in Titan Towers. How did those people get chosen? Were they family members of employees, or did they give fans tickets like talk shows do?
JJMc Posted March 14, 2005 Report Posted March 14, 2005 They were employees of the building, and they had to sit through the tapings whether or not they wanted to. That was in Heenan's first book. Although, on my old Primetime tapes, they always give an address to write to for tickets. Weird.
