treble Posted March 22, 2005 Report Posted March 22, 2005 Funny, I just watched Taxi Driver earlier in the day. I kinda want a Godfather/Vince parody, and I think they could still pull it off, even though Vince is hurt.
MillenniumMan831 Posted March 22, 2005 Report Posted March 22, 2005 In which quarter-hour does the promo air? Help a west coast viewer out. It was approx 10:30ish-10:45ish . . . just before the main event IIRC.
tominator89 Posted March 22, 2005 Report Posted March 22, 2005 Who has yet to appear in a WM commercial?
NYU Posted March 22, 2005 Report Posted March 22, 2005 (edited) Off the top of my head for the higher guys in the federation: Vince McMahon, Randy Orton, Kane, Edge, Rob Van Dam, Eric Bischoff, Theodore Long, and any of the Dudleys... Edited March 22, 2005 by NY Untouchable
Guest LooneyTune Posted March 22, 2005 Report Posted March 22, 2005 All CW's not named London or Chavo (and Rey if you still count him) and most of the women.
Spaceman Spiff Posted March 22, 2005 Report Posted March 22, 2005 Watching it again, I liked the Bashams "are you talking to us?". I also got a chuckle out of: Director (to diva): "Anything else you want to show us?" Diva: (does a little dance) Director: "Can we see you after the show?"
Ravenbomb Posted March 22, 2005 Report Posted March 22, 2005 This thing never gets old (watches it an 8th time)
BorneAgain Posted March 22, 2005 Report Posted March 22, 2005 Who has yet to appear in a WM commercial? Raw: Trish, Masters, Edge, Bischoff, JR/King, Kane, Davari, Hassan, Lita, Matt Hardy, Orton, Rhyno, Rosey, Simon Dean, La Resistance, Stevie Richards, Tomko, Viscera, Val Venis, and Victoria. Smackdown: Akio, Kidman, Dudleys, Haas, Dawn Marie, Funaki, Kenzo, Luther, Jindrak, Nunzio, Dupree, Shannon Moore, Spike, Teddy Long, and Torrie Wilson. Except for Linda, none of the McMahons have appeared.
Spaceman Spiff Posted March 22, 2005 Report Posted March 22, 2005 Any way to save these to your hard drive?
Creepy Crawl Posted March 22, 2005 Report Posted March 22, 2005 im betting this was taped during one of those superjoint shows. Superjoint ?
CBright7831 Posted March 22, 2005 Author Report Posted March 22, 2005 And yes, Batista did say "fucking directors".
Art Sandusky Posted March 22, 2005 Report Posted March 22, 2005 im betting this was taped during one of those superjoint shows. Superjoint ? See, that's what I said.
CBright7831 Posted March 22, 2005 Author Report Posted March 22, 2005 ^^^^ Your avatar features the death of Viceroy Nute Gunray.
Scroby Posted March 22, 2005 Report Posted March 22, 2005 Their might be one more parody. Supposely there's a Steve Austin/Gladiator (sp?)coming soon.
pgi86 Posted March 22, 2005 Report Posted March 22, 2005 So, will that be the last WM promo? I remember reading something about there being a "Gladiator" one with Austin so I`m guessing we`ll se that next week.
Silence Posted March 22, 2005 Report Posted March 22, 2005 So, will that be the last WM promo? I remember reading something about there being a "Gladiator" one with Austin so I`m guessing we`ll se that next week. Depending on Austin's comedic motivation, it could be "hit" or "miss" as far as quality goes. Unfortunately, I'm leaning towards "miss" since he wasn't very funny the last time I saw him on Raw (treating all the heels such as Jericho and Christian like shit, ragging on Molly about being bald, etc.).
notJames Posted March 22, 2005 Report Posted March 22, 2005 Finally, they surpass the Basic Instinct parody with an absolute gem of an advert. The concept, the execution, the use of so many faces and characters… that hit on all cylinders. And of course, Batista was his smoove badass self. Nice payoff at the end. Too bad the rest of the show was more or less shite on a kite.
Open the Muggy Gate Posted March 22, 2005 Report Posted March 22, 2005 Snitsky ruled it all. That timing during that whole commercial was perfect. Big Show once again shines.
Art Sandusky Posted March 22, 2005 Report Posted March 22, 2005 Batista is just so eerily natural in almost everything he says on camera. Insane.
Gary Floyd Posted March 22, 2005 Report Posted March 22, 2005 That was fucking awesome "Can I see you after the shoot?"
Lord of The Curry Posted March 22, 2005 Report Posted March 22, 2005 London's gun-draw was the best out of the group.
Carnival Posted March 22, 2005 Report Posted March 22, 2005 And yes, Batista did say "fucking directors". and no, he didn't.
Youth N Asia Posted March 22, 2005 Report Posted March 22, 2005 Snitsky's line was great. Carlito was great. And for some reason I loved that London got barely enough tv time so where as you would know it's him.
Guest LooneyTune Posted March 22, 2005 Report Posted March 22, 2005 And yes, Batista did say "fucking directors". and no, he didn't. I don't know what else fits the "F--king" word that he said, unless he said friggin as "Frikking".
Ravenbomb Posted March 22, 2005 Report Posted March 22, 2005 Batista, Big Show, Snitsky and Cole = Awesome
Guest Salacious Crumb Posted March 22, 2005 Report Posted March 22, 2005 And yes, Batista did say "fucking directors". and no, he didn't. There was no R in there.
Guest M. Harry Smilac Posted March 22, 2005 Report Posted March 22, 2005 Another great one. Here's how i'd rank em so far- 1)Basic Instinct-Between Benoit's facial expressions and Christian's performance I don't think this can be topped. 2)Taxi Driver-I actually almost changed the channel when I saw Heidenreich and thought it was gonna be a commercial solely for him.Thankfully not. 3)A Few Good Men-The storyline playing in to this made it great. 4)Braveheart-A 45 minute HHH promo but it actually had a payoff which was extremely funny. 5)Forrest Gump-Only funny part was Regal telling him to 'Run Eugene'. 6)Dirty Harry-The payoff was kinda funny but that was about it. 7)When Harry Met Sally-Even Linda's cameo couldn't save this one.
