Guest wootman Posted March 25, 2005 Report Posted March 25, 2005 I hadn't been this PUMPED for a Smackdown in quite sometime until I heard that Sherri Martel of all people would be making an appearance. But yet, I kinda feared that she'd look really haggard or horrible considering that she's 50 now and last time I saw something on her was at the end of last year and she was in tight pink floral spandex with cellulite and flab hanging out everywhere and she looked aged. When she came out, she looked surprisingly good and didn't really look as horrific as some may have thought she would, The makeup team did a standup job and she's held up pretty well. And she took a page out of the Stephanie McMahon playbook by wearing a slimming black dress which was a good move on her part instead of trying to squeeze into skin tight pants with holes in them like at Summerslam 1992 like I had originally feared. Also, I kinda dug that nice floppy cleavage she was showing. Oh gosh, I'm lusting over a 50 year old woman. WWE.com put a page on Sherri like their other wrestlers with some photos from her career and Smackdown too. For some reason, they list her as a "Smackdown Superstar", although I doubt she's back in WWE, although, I sure as hell wouldn't mind if she was back with WWE on a full-time basis. Also, she's still quite the screamer. SHERRI! SHERRI! SHERRI! http://www.wwe.com/superstars/smackdown/se...rri/profile.jsp
algrim Posted March 25, 2005 Report Posted March 25, 2005 I always thought Sherri had a MILF quality about her. Anyway, didn't she manage Shane Douglas for a brief time in ECW?
MillenniumMan831 Posted March 25, 2005 Report Posted March 25, 2005 Yeah, I wouldn't have known it if she wasn't on the ECW dvd. And I've always found her rather attractive in the wild child sort of way.
Guest Arnold_OldSchool Posted March 25, 2005 Report Posted March 25, 2005 I must admit I pulled my pud to the Tatanka/Bigelow/Sherri segment on SStars a few weeks before KOR 93 /loves hiding behind internet screen name
UZI Suicide Posted March 25, 2005 Report Posted March 25, 2005 She's 50? Holy shit. She's hotter now than she was in her "prime", IMO.
Guest wootman Posted March 25, 2005 Report Posted March 25, 2005 I thought her "prime" for looks was when she was with Shawn Michaels in 1992. Still looks good today too. BRING HER BACK! Also, in the videos section of her little site, it has her interview segment from Wrestlemania 5 which was cut out of the Colisuem video released to my dismay. I always wanted to see the interview and now I did.
MillenniumMan831 Posted March 25, 2005 Report Posted March 25, 2005 I must admit I pulled my pud to the Tatanka/Bigelow/Sherri segment on SStars a few weeks before KOR 93 /loves hiding behind internet screen name Never seen Sherri reveal more cleavage than in that segment.
Guest Trivia247 Posted March 25, 2005 Report Posted March 25, 2005 She looked better in her prime years that is when she was valeting Savage.
areacode212 Posted March 25, 2005 Report Posted March 25, 2005 Where the hell were all you people in the early 90s when I would get mocked for lusting after Sherri? I thought I was the only one. I mean, how could you not love this mega-cleavage? Anyway, I've had that WM5 Coliseum Video for years, and had no idea that there was an interview missing. Thanks for pointing that out...I just d/l'd it with WMR.
what Posted March 25, 2005 Report Posted March 25, 2005 Haha, I loved the feud where Rick Martel and Shawn Michaels were fighting over Sherri. They couldn't hit each other in the face because Sherri said so and when they did, she fainted. Hilarious shit.
Guest wootman Posted March 25, 2005 Report Posted March 25, 2005 Sherri seems to have a lot of "closet" fans if you will. She seems to be generally liked within the IWC but it kinda feels a little taboo to mention that you kinda have the hots for Sherri because she's an unusual lady. I'll admit that Sherri was my first crush from TV when I was like 8 or 9 back in 1992. I dare say that she was the first person to make me "rise to the occasion" if you will. Ok, I shouldn't have said that.
Jobber of the Week Posted March 25, 2005 Report Posted March 25, 2005 Oh for the love of us who don't watch SmackDown, I wish there was a full video somewhere of this skit
Guest wootman Posted March 25, 2005 Report Posted March 25, 2005 WWE.com has a little of it, but not them singing the song, just the HBK tribute video and Sherri getting the ankle lock. Watch Velocity or WWE Experience and I'm pretty sure they'll show most of the segment. Or if not that, IRC or that other file sharing program I forget the name of will have it for download.
Guest Arnold_OldSchool Posted March 25, 2005 Report Posted March 25, 2005 Real name: Sherri Russell Height: 5'7" Weight: 132 lbs. Date of birth: February 8, 1958 Hometown: New Orleans, LA Pro debut: 1982 Trained by: Fabulous Moolah & Donna Christentello
ChrisMWaters Posted March 25, 2005 Report Posted March 25, 2005 I also thought Sherri looked good <joke>I can see what Col. Parker saw in her back in WCW</joke> My fav outfit of her was from WrestleMania 8 for some reason.
Celtic Jobber Posted March 25, 2005 Report Posted March 25, 2005 I think Sherri actually looks better now than she did back in the late 80's-early 90's. She has kind of a Kay Parker appeal.
Vyce Posted March 25, 2005 Report Posted March 25, 2005 I think Sherri actually looks better now than she did back in the late 80's-early 90's. She has kind of a Kay Parker appeal. A Kay Parker reference! How you've brought a smile to my face. *runs to rewatch his copy of "Taboo"*
Slingshot Suplex Posted March 25, 2005 Report Posted March 25, 2005 I met Sherri a couple summers ago at a show in Lexington, Kentucky. Damn nice lady and we sat outside the building talking for a few minutes and then a bit more later after the show. Just for a minute, I thought about hitting on her but I think she may have been there with Larry Zybysko.
Quit Calling My Mama Posted March 25, 2005 Report Posted March 25, 2005 I have a link to a clip of the full segment. Anyone want it PM me.
MillenniumMan831 Posted March 25, 2005 Report Posted March 25, 2005 I had her shoot interview but threw it away when her damn birds wouldn't shut the hell up.

Downhome Posted March 25, 2005 Report Posted March 25, 2005 I also thought Sherri looked good I can see what Col. Parker saw in her back in WCW I miss those days. I'd rather see Sherri on WWE TV than almost any of the current WWE "divas".
Guest news_gimmick Posted March 25, 2005 Report Posted March 25, 2005 I'm not feeling the Sherry love, at least in a sexual manner. I loved her as a worker and what she always brought to matches, but sexually I just don't find her to be appealing. Of course to each their own, but I can pass on her that way. I still say bring her in and get someone over though.
cabbageboy Posted March 25, 2005 Report Posted March 25, 2005 I can see that but Sherri had a sort of odd appeal to her....I remember when I was like 12 or 13 kinda having a thing for her, though ironically enough this coincided with the time period where I wished Michaels would eat shit and die. I used to just hate, hate, hate Shawn Michaels in about 1992, but maybe that's because he had one of the biggest dick heel years ever. To wit: --He turned on his long time tag partner and threw him through a barbershop window. --He was a cocky punk who challenged beloved fan fave Bret Hart and despite never winning kept pimping himself. --The aforementioned Martel feud over Sherri, although that one wasn't really that heelish. --And the topper, his Oct. 92 IC win over the British Bulldog who was coming off his big win against Bret at SS. That's the match that forever put Shawn on my shitlist, though if he keeps teaming with Jannetty I might start liking him a bit better. Anyway, Sherri. She looked good last night, hell I laughed my ass off and marked out for her duet with Kurt of Sexy Kurt. I'll make your ankle hurt!
Guest dwdw Posted March 25, 2005 Report Posted March 25, 2005 I loved seeing her! I mean how can you not love seeing this: http://images.google.com/images?q=Sherri+m...en&lr=&safe=off Contains nudity, 18 and older please!
Guest Loss Posted March 25, 2005 Report Posted March 25, 2005 I love how they always paired her with a great worker (Savage, DiBiase, Michaels) and how she was usually a better worker than their opponents that night.
strummer Posted March 25, 2005 Report Posted March 25, 2005 yeah, Sherri has managed some great workers in her day (Savage, DiBiase, Shawn, Flair, one half of Harlem Heat, and even Summers and Rose were a pretty good team) On the flip side, I've always thought that Bobby Heenan has gotten somewhat of a bad rap because he's managed so many bad wrestlers (Studd, Bundy, Barbarian, Andre when he was immobile, Missing Link, Hercules, etc) When you are associated with good wrestling, people look back at you in more of a positive light. I think Sherri has benefited from that.
Vyce Posted March 25, 2005 Report Posted March 25, 2005 I loved seeing her! I mean how can you not love seeing this: http://images.google.com/images?q=Sherri+m...en&lr=&safe=off Contains nudity, 18 and older please! MAN, that's a huge bush. And I'm not talking about the POTUS.
Guest slmon Posted March 26, 2005 Report Posted March 26, 2005 Damn, she looks good for pushing 50. Very convincing sell on the ankle lock, as well. Wouldn't mind her making more special appearances as a manager or a mentor to a diva.
