John Cena copying Jadakiss...

Recommended Posts

I'm suprised nobody has responded by saying "Jadakiss is a rapper? Oh, he must be garbage then, because rap is crap." or something along those lines. TSM isn't exactly overflowing with rap fans, so I'm not suprised when someone bashes rap on this board.

I've heard the name, but the only song I know is "The Champ is Here" and that's because of Samoa Joe. Which may have been where Cena got the idea to use that line during his US title run, because they trained together.

Jadakiss is a rap artist. He recieved a grammy nomination for his song "Why?".

Anyways..um...Who the fuck is Jadakiss?

Fuckin asshole...

Anyway, thanks to CBright7831 for posting the soundbit, I really think Cena should try to come up with his own thing. Don't forget, he stole the whole "THE CHAMP IS HERE" thing from Jadakiss(Although it was Muhammad Ali who orignated, the champ is here. Jadakiss made a song using sample of Ali's voice repeating the Champ is here. About a week or 2 after the song was released, Cena starting using "THE CHAMP IS HERE")

I read somewhere that Cena started using The Champ is Here as a rib to ROH's Samoa Joe. The two did work together.

Bottom line is that the major fanbase wont make the connection, so it aint that big of a deal.

Does anyone else ever think that the pre-Mania SD always feels like a massive filler show? It just seems that, every year, the hype and the sell always fizzles out come the last SmackDown! I don't know why.

Nope. I find RAW more of a filler than Smackdown.

And I do find it funny that 80% of this board doesn't know who Jadakiss is. That's like Anglesault levels.

So true,

Infact, I found SD! to be more entertaining than Raw this week. infact, throught the majority of 2005. SD! have been better than Raw overall.

And here was me thinking he stole Ah-HA from ABBA.

What's the deal with the hand-signal anyway? "You Can't See Me?" I can CLEARLY see him! Does he think waving his hand in front of his face makes him magically invisible or something?

Then again, as I've said, I'm as white as snow

But not as pure.

Ah-HA!

I don't know. Rip off something that isn't so mainstream. Its kinda insulting when he is ripping off something that alot of people haven't heard of, so eventually people will think its your own creative thing. Shit at least acknowledge Jada if you are going to rip off his signature sound.

The sheer whiteness of this thread is very entertaining.

:headbang:

Indeed.

J

Yep!!!!

Yet, when Vince Mcmahon is out of touch with pop culture people rag on him. No wonder some people don't understand why John Cena is over with the audience. Hell, even Hulk Hogan got in tune with the nWo character in the 90's during the east coast/west coast rap feud of the time(4 Life from Tupac). That market makes boatloads of money. Vince is actually in touch by pushing Cena.

I'm surprised no one has mentioned Cena stealing Chain Gang either. I won't even bother go into where he stole the idea for that, but he is at least staying in touch. They just need to keep him the way he was last week on smackdown imo.

No one's mentioned it because none of us care.

Which was my point. It's the same as a casual fan not caring about the net's beloved Chris Benoit having a Triple H-like reign, but liking John Cena. The net will come down on the masses for liking Hulk Hogan and not giving the same praise to Chris Benoit. Or it's like someone here mentioning that Chris Benoit modelled himself after Dynamite Kid and people ripping the thread maker because they didn't know or didn't care.
