Enigma 0 Report post Posted April 6, 2005 There is what is described to me as major heat on Rhyno right now after an incident at the Universal Sheraton (where WWE booked most of the wrestlers during Wrestlemania 21 week) after Rhyno destroyed a large ceramic flowerpot in the foyer of the hotel during an argument with his wife shortly after the Wrestlemania 21 post-party began in front of a number of witnesses. Rhyno was escorted to his hotel room by WWE management and did not return to the party. The company is furious about the situation as he was booked in the hotel by them, and was therefore representing the company. They are also upset that the incident happened before a number of witnesses including fans who were hanging out in the hotel lobby. Rhyno wasn't used on the Raw taping the following day. -- PWInsider
Guest LooneyTune Report post Posted April 6, 2005 It's someone expendable, which is what happend to Ron Simmons last year (pissed off everyone with his attitude problems around WM time). Except of course, they rehired Simmons back as a Road Agent after his second retirement.

Guest Shadow Report post Posted April 6, 2005 It's a lock that we'll be seeing Rhyno along Richards, Venis and S2H on the spring cleaning list. They weren't using Rhyno all that much anyways and this is just ample excuse for them to cut him. They may however keep him til the ECW PPV where they can have him drop the "title" so as another punishment would be that he can no longer claim to be the final ecw champion. King Cucaracha 0 Report post Posted April 6, 2005 GOOOOOOOROHOOOOOOORRREEE!! I guess Rhyno was a prime suspect for spring cleaning. Which is a shame, because he never really had a strong run in the WWE outside of the short run during the Invasion. Ever since they botched the Benoit feud, he's been lost in the shuffle. I guess this might be the last straw.
2GOLD 0 Report post Posted April 6, 2005 The WWE could bring back the ECW title and have it change hands till they are blue in the face. The last ECW World champion will always be Rhino. WWE's version of ECW isn't ECW. It wasn't ECW during the Invasion and it won't be ECW if they bring it back. Too much money spent on a the light budget for it to be ECW. Guest Shadow Report post Posted April 6, 2005 Rhyno was pushed very hard upon his debut and was #4 in the rankings for The ECW/WCW side with Austin, Booker and RVD ahead of him. They used him pretty well until his neck injury came and after that they tried to do something with him and Benoit but it never got off and he has since languished in the tag team/heat world since summer 2003. Youth N Asia 0 Report post Posted April 6, 2005 Rhyno wasn't used on the Raw taping the following day. As opposed to the many other times he's been used on Raw this year? Send the man off to Smakdown already, they've completly mismanaged him for the last few years. Lord forbid they figure out that Heidenreich or Suzuki will never get over and move their spot onto someone new...granted, Kenzo hasn't been used lately, but he was on tv a lot for someone that never did anything

They used him pretty well until his neck injury came and after that they tried to do something with him and Benoit but it never got off and he has since languished in the tag team/heat world since summer 2003. The night he was kicked out of the Alliance, the crowd was CRAZYHOT for him to start taking out bodies. He still gets a good reaction from the crowd, so it's a shame he's been hardly used. He'll never be World Title material, but he's a hell of a lot better than some other guys they have on the roster (looks at Snitsky, Heidenreich, Suzuki, Masters). Garth 0 Report post Posted April 6, 2005 I really do like Rhyno and it's upsetting he dosen't get much of a push. I loved how he was used during the Invasion period, wish he could be booked as strongly as he was then. If the WWE aren't going to use him properly it's probably better that he get dropped, I'm sure he could fetch a pretty penny on the indy scene. I'm interested in how he destroyed this large ceramic flower pot though, what the hell did he do? Gore his wife into it or something. It can't be that big a deal, I'm sure Rhyno's grown up enough to say sorry and pay for the damage anyway.
2GOLD 0 Report post Posted April 6, 2005 The sad thing is he was over again when he teamed with Tijaria and the crowd actually wanted them to win the tag titles. And what did the WWE do? Abandoned the tag team and sent Rhyno back to square one. Paul Heyman is the only one who knows how to do anything with Rhyno. Not to mention the WWE can't like that his GORE looks much more impressive than that weak hug that Edge uses.
Guest pinnacleofallthingsmanly Report post Posted April 6, 2005 I always saw Rhyno as a stumpy 5'7 wrestler who was pretty boring and lacking in believability.
Guest Quik Report post Posted April 6, 2005 I never saw him as a ME guy, but he can get over if booked properly. God knows it's happened in the past before they dick him over and just take him off TV. I think it's a simple case of Vince not wanting to push an ECW guy. I don't know what you mean by lacking in believability but I always thought of Rhyno as the kind of guy you could see beating the fuck out of a guy in front of a strip club. He's plenty believable as a badass to me.

He may not be tall, but his damn thigh muscle is wider than most females. When he gets going, it is very believable.

I don't know what you mean by lacking in believability but I always thought of Rhyno as the kind of guy you could see beating the fuck out of a guy in front of a strip club. He's plenty believable as a badass to me. In my eyes he was a short guy who was too fat to be a cruiserweight. I could see him beating up on some regular Joe Schmo but I don't see him as legitimately beating anyone in the main event scene. You can't have this guy be an ass-kicking machine at the top because he's too small for it to be believable. If he had a different character and different offense, maybe he could fit in, but I can't buy him beating Batista, Triple H, Undertaker, Kane, Cena or anyone who's near the top. I won't ever accept him as being this physically dominating little guy. On the RAW side, these are the only people who would actually buy him being able to beat the shit out of: Candice Christian Christy Eric Bischoff Ivory Jerry Lawler Jim Ross Jonathon Coachman Khosrow Daivari Lilian Garcia Lita Maria Mark Henry (since he's injured I'll be generous) Matt Hardy Mick Foley (the current one, not an in-shape Mick Foley) Molly Holly Ric Flair Shawn Michaels Stacy Kiebler Steven Richards Tajiri The Hurricane Todd Grisham Trish Stratus Victoria Viscera Smackdown: Akio Billy Kidman Chavo Guerrero Dawn Marie Funaki Josh Matthews Joy Kenzo Suzuki Lauren Jones Michael Cole Michelle McCool Miss Jackie Nunzio Rey Mysterio Rochelle Loewen Shannon Moore Spike Dudley Tazz (actually I think Rhyno is like a less-bad ass version of who Tazz used to be. Now Tazz is just a little fat guy in a suit) Theodore Long Torrie Most of those people are either: A)cruiserweights B)women C)non-wrestlers

Guest news_gimmick Report post Posted April 6, 2005 It's a shame this will probably do him in.
