During Rhyno's healthy time in the WWE, he got pushed way harder than HHH did for his first few years in the WWF. It was only when Taker got played out, Rock needed to turn face, and they really needed another top heel that HHH got the big push in '99.

The point was that Hunter got chance after chance after chance to try and get over, even when the fans still weren't taking to him at all. If everyone got that kind of effort, things would be a whole lot better.

And right now they are doing the same thing with Randy, but after Foley got him over at Backlash 2004 poor Randall couldn't follow through because he still lacks that main event charisma.

Am I the only one that thinks Randy is over enough? I mean heel Randy, at least, or is that X-Pac heat he's starting to get? I've actually been enjoying him this year, even as a face during the January PPVs...

Sad events leading to release of former ECW champ..

The one negative of Wrestlemania weekend was an incident involving Rhyno, that has since resulted in his release.

 

Rhyno is going through a bitter divorce, and his wife is planning on moving to Germany with their child. She showed up at Wrestlemania, but without their daughter, and Rhyno lost his temper in the hotel. He got heated and violent and security had to be called, and he actually threw a large potted plant described as too large to lift.

 

Tommy Dreamer talked Rhyno into going ot his room, but he ultimately resisted and got into a shouting match with John Laurinaitis, saying basically that he had nothing left to live for and that he didn't care if he was released.

 

Rhyno was taken off the road immediately after the incident, and has since been released from WWE.

Well in the case of a drug problem the company does use rehab as an ultimatum (Guerrero, Regal) but what are they supposed to do in this incident? Marriage counseling? Anger management?

hmm, i wonder if his wife planned it this way. maybe before this they were still going thru the proceedings over visitation/custody, and he was fighting to keep her in the country so he could at least visit his daughter occasionally. and maybe she showed up at Wrestlemania to start shit with him, in front of witnesses no less, and then he blew up and now she can tell the courts "well, he's this violent individual and i fear for the safety of my child", and will now get full custody. maybe Rhyno just played into her hands and now he can't see his kid. food for thought at the very least.

Maybe he needed a better lawyer or something? I can't understand how that would happen. I can see how his wife would end up with custody because he was on the road all the time, but generally in these situations there's a ton of legalese and beuracracy if you just want to take the child to another state, much less another country. Otherwise, it's kidnapping.
