Guest Dale Earnhardt Report post Posted April 15, 2005 Why is it that everything has to be remade by kids? We've had it done to The Beatles, the Kidz Bop series and that Gospel music one. Why is it that people insist on releasing these albums? More importantly, what is the draw? Why listen to a bunch of kids singing your favorite song when you can hear the original artist sing it. So you're saying that Justin Timberlake should remake all of Dean Martin's songs just so it can appeal to that demographic?

Greedy music executives, song writers, producers want to squeeze all the money they can out of the music lovin 30-ish MILFs and 50-ish grannies.

Slayer 0 Report post Posted April 16, 2005 I just think it would be incredibly amusing to hear a bunch of 10 year-olds (or however old the singers they use) singing about how they "did it for the nookie"

Ripper 0 Report post Posted April 19, 2005 They take catchy songs, change the lyrics to be harmless and without all the sexual innuendo, and have kids sing it thus making it acceptable for their kids to listen to popular music without the negative connotations. It pretty easy to figure out here people. I got more insulted by that faze of taking songs by black artist and having white artist sing them. I couldn't figure out the need for THAT. I am still pissed off at hearing those white dudes singing "Motownphilly".

And the cover of "Bring me to life" with the dumbass yelling "WAKE ME UP" while some little kid is singing is just disturbing and hilariously bad. I'm still waiting for them to cover "Tip Drill" dammit.
Guest El Satanico Report post Posted April 19, 2005 Pop music is immoral for childrens, unless it's sang by childrens, then it's perfectly acceptable. Didn't you guys know that? Do they really change the lyrics? I always assumed they were straight covers. If they aren't straight covers, that removes all the interest I have in them. The commercials have given me a great idea... A CD of Christopher Walken covering pop music.

Add in some music videos with him in the lead doing his dance thing and you'd have the greatest CD/DVD collection ever made.
