I know I've said it before, but I'll say it again: Phoenix is the most fun team to watch on TV.

Funny, I read an article a couple weeks ago where some people went through and rated all the arenas, and they said NJ was the worst, as well.

I know you mean just the court and not the *arena*, but I just remembered that article.

Kenny Rogers and the TNT crew annoyed the fuck out of me at halftime with that "spurtability" crap, they wouldn't even let Charles Barkley finish making his points, they just kept interrupting. "HA! SPURTABILITY! THAT'S NOT EVEN A WORD LOLZ

Fuckin annoying cunts.

Maybe it's just blind fandom, but I've been thinking, and I really believe that the Mavs are going to come back from that 2-0 deficit. They've got the experience, they've got the talent, and they're not going down to some shitty two man team from Houston.

I just wanted to make a public announcement here so that I can throw out an I told you so in a couple weeks when they finish off the Rockets. They're getting the job done, I can feel it.

"Two man team"? Dude, have you watched the series? Yes, McGrady and Ming have done the most damage in this series, but Mike James, Jon Barry, Bobby Sura, and David Wesley have all helped out on the scoring end at various points in the first two games. Without James, the Rockets have a tough time scoring with Ming being shut down. Without Barry and Sura, the Rockets don't come back from the 8 point deficit late in the 4th in game 2. But, based upon what I've seen on Mav boards, that attitude seems to be pretty prevalent among Maverick fans.

BTW, this "shitty" two man team has done a hell of a lot more so far than your "shitty" one and a half man team this series. Finley only get 1/2 a man since he hasn't done anything so far.

I'm betting the Mavericks throw everything they've got at the Rockets in the first quarter of game 3. If the Rockets can withstand it (no guarantee, what with their habit of starting REAL slow at home) they'll be in good shape. If the Mavericks get out to a big lead and get their confidence, it's going to get mighty uncomfortable.

The first end season award will be handed out today

The L.A. Times is reporting that the Clippers have scheduled a newsconference this afternoon to announce that Bobby Simmons has won the Most Improved Player Award. He is the first Clipper to win an individual award since the team has been in Los Angeles.

Congratulations to Bobby and hopefully he will be back in a Clipper uniform next year helping the team make the playoffs.

I'm not sure what happens with the Suns' court. I used to really like their court with the purple on it and all that, but now it has no color to it and bizarre shades of the wood. That said it'd be nice if the Suns won it all this year. They have to be the best franchise that has never won. Even the friggin Golden St. Warriors have won it once.

I fully expected Bobby Simmons to win Most Improved, though i had hoped Joel Przybilla might get the nod. Still, Simmons came from nowhere to become a damn fine player so it's deserved, and i guess it's about time the Clippers actually won something.

Joel was the man for the second half of the year, but Bobby Simmons was this years Flip Murray, only Dunlevey kept him on the court when the Clipper stars got back.

And just to say it out loud, I think that if Shaun(sp?) Livingston could have stayed healthy, he would have probably been Rookie of the year. And if he can stop being injury prone, I expect superstardom and a quadruple double out of him one day. Yeah....I said it.

Over at ESPN, Bill Simmons is explaining how Reggie Miller isn't and never has been a superstar, and why Doc River's bad coaching and not the fact that the Celtics have a streaky team is the reason they lost game 2.

You mean a team that won game won thanks to a bunch of rookies lost game two? Its almost as if the rookies don't have playoff experience and the vets out played them. That has never happened in the history of the world in any sport.

Goddamn I hate Bill Simmons.

Fuck Reggie Miller.

Bill Simmons is right.

Thats just bitterness talking. You are either a Boston fan or a Knicks fan.

It's hard to place Reggie Miller really since his teams have rarely been truly superb. Yeah he was in 1 finals where they were the designated jobber for the Lakers, but otherwise most of his career has consisted of "Reggie goes nuts and wins a game, then his team loses the series." He's a clutch player, but it's hard to be clutch EVERY game on a so so team.

No, keep underestimating them. I like it better that way.. it's been that way nearly all season.
