Guest Rugged Ronnie Garvin Posted April 20, 2005 Report Posted April 20, 2005 I would say Scott Steiner is more like a Ken Cammenetti or Jose Canseco. McGwire and Bonds are both hall of famers. Camenetti had a couple of real good years then fizzled out quickly, like Steiner. Mick Foley = Curt Schilling. Both likable, humorous and overweight. Eddy Guerrero = Manny Rameirez. Charismatic and latin. Vinny Mac = George Steinbrenner. Controversial and often hated multi-millionare owners.
CanadianGuitarist Posted April 20, 2005 Report Posted April 20, 2005 Mark McGwire = Scott Steiner Roger Clemens = Undertaker I thought I was the only one who noticed the striking resemblance between Clemens and the Undertaker. Mick Foley = Curt Schilling. Both likable, humorous and overweight. Vinny Mac = George Steinbrenner. Controversial and often hated multi-millionare owners. Yep.
Guest LooneyTune Posted April 20, 2005 Report Posted April 20, 2005 As a baseball fan, I am disgusted at the comparison of Ty Cobb and HHH. Cobb is one of the best ever, HHH is garbage compared to Cobb. Cobb was a cocksucking, dickhead, racist... Triple H's character in the last 2 years is almost the same thing, except he kicks people in the balls instead of spiking them when sliding into bases.
Lord of The Curry Posted April 20, 2005 Report Posted April 20, 2005 This is one of the worst fucking threads ever.
The Czech Republic Posted April 20, 2005 Report Posted April 20, 2005 This is one of the worst fucking threads ever. I'm having trouble disputing this one.
Guest Hass of Pain Posted April 20, 2005 Report Posted April 20, 2005 Kent Hrbek as Sting, because they both carry baseball bats. Will McGee as Shawn Michaels, because they both wear hats. Mark Grace as The Rock, because Grace plays in Wrigley field and The Rock likes to chew gum. Johnny Damon as Brian Danielson, because they both used to be clean shaven and now have thick beards. Chris Nowinski and anyone on the Harvard baseball team, because they both went to Harvard. Maven as Don Zimmer, because they are both tough enough.
what Posted April 20, 2005 Report Posted April 20, 2005 I WUD COMPARE DA UNDATAKA TO BASEBALL PLAYER BUT THERE NO PLAYER GOOD NUFF! Terrible post.

Guest Trivia247 Posted April 21, 2005 Report Posted April 21, 2005 I might have caused the....Worst thread Evah! but its not my fault people are responding to it, so its actually the most successful Worst thread Evah! so there
Lord of The Curry Posted April 21, 2005 Report Posted April 21, 2005 Once again, worst fucking thread ever.
Guest Stunt Granny Posted April 21, 2005 Report Posted April 21, 2005 Bret Hart = Pete Rose cuz they'll never be in the HOF. Wouldn't be wild if somehow Bret Hart got into the baseball hall of fame? That would be fucked up.

Guest Phoenix Posted April 21, 2005 Report Posted April 21, 2005 I just know that comparing wrestling to actual main stream sports is a bad idea always. The night that Larry Zybysko compared Flair winning the title the 16th time bigger than Babe Ruth hitting 60 home runs or something is a perfect example. My friends dad was so pissed he left the room and quit watching wrestling. He hasn't to my knowledge ever watched a second since that night either. It is never a good idea to compare actual sports to something that is scripted. I have been a wrestling fan since I was 4 years old, but I have never made a comparison like calling Beniot never winning the belt and finally getting it at mania. To the Boston Red Sox winning the World Series, and I am just waiting on someone to say someone is compared to the Cubs. Saying they have never won it and it will be the biggest news story ever. The closest anything EVER will come to that was Hogan/Andre at WM3. I am sorry for telling people how it is, but you can not compare wrestling to baseball, or any actual other sport except olympic style wrestling. That is just how I feel.
Adam Posted April 21, 2005 Report Posted April 21, 2005 My god. And you people want to be taken seriously at some point by WWE?
Promoter Posted April 22, 2005 Report Posted April 22, 2005 Okay, this thread is pretty terrible in actuality. However, come on, what's wrong with a little fun comparison? I don't see what the problem was with Zybysko comparing Ric Flair with Babe Ruth. The reason being that the show is sports oriented. It's all apart of the magic. Ruth getting the most homers compared to Flair getting the most championships gets over how great Flair is. Look how HHH is trying to break the record. Yes, it's scripted, but it's based off being a show about people in a sport. It's SPORTS ENTERTAINMENT! How else are they suppose to make things seem special? Are they suppose to compare HHH to his role he played for the Mania commercial? How about JBL and Cena's? It doesn't seem the same does it? If they never rambled on about WrestleMania being sports entertainment's World Series or SuperBowl then the fans in turn would see it as just another event which they don't. Hulk Hogan is compared to Babe Ruth because Babe Ruth made the Yankees the house that Babe built. The wwe is the house that Hulk built(which was his promo line in 1993) although Bruno may have something to say about that. Hell, they now use "storylines"/"top story" on sports braodcasts sometimes. Wrestling just uses it to enhance the characters achievements because the pinpoint of it all are championships. You don't see them winning Oscars, so the comparison is okay.

Promoter Posted April 22, 2005 Report Posted April 22, 2005 Are you crazy? Alomar was very talented all around. If you are talking about their mic skills then yeah
Guest Mosaicv2 Posted April 23, 2005 Report Posted April 23, 2005 Are you crazy? Alomar was very talented all around. If you are talking about their mic skills then yeah I think he compare them because they like spitting on people.

HHH is a cocksucking, dickhead, racist like Cobb, but HHH differs in two very important ways. Cobb was undeniably an amazing baseball player with incredible skills who earned every accolade. HHH was shoved up our asses until we accepted him. Then he started to do well in the ring. And Cobb never won the World Series. Despite holding all sorts of records, he was never a true champion. HHH of course has six zillion title reigns and will get six zillion more.
alfdogg Posted April 23, 2005 Report Posted April 23, 2005 Are you crazy? Alomar was very talented all around. If you are talking about their mic skills then yeah I think he compare them because they like spitting on people. Alomar = Carlito in that case then.

iggymcfly Posted April 25, 2005 Report Posted April 25, 2005 Batista's a lot like Derek Jeter, because they both give me funny feelings in my pants. I mean....uh......they both dress nice, that's it.
Steve J. Rogers Posted April 25, 2005 Report Posted April 25, 2005 Mark McGwire = Scott Steiner Roger Clemens = Undertaker I thought I was the only one who noticed the striking resemblance between Clemens and the Undertaker. Early in Taker's run I thought Tommy Greene of the Phillies (pitcher in early 1990's, hurled a No-No one year) looked a little like him
