TNABaddboi 0 Report post Posted April 20, 2005 Here's an update on this Sunday's PPV from PWInsider.com: TNAWrestling.com has announced that Kevin Nash will miss this Sunday’s Lockdown Pay-Per-View "due to a knee injury as a result of a staph infection the superstar recently suffered." They said that Dusty Rhodes will name Nash's replacement in the Six Sides of Steel match on Sunday, at the show. They also mentioned that Sonjay Dutt will be replacing Kid Kash in the “Xscape” match, taking on Michael Shane, Chris Sabin and Shocker. Dutt replacing Kash is fine by me...and as for who replaces Nash, color me clueless. I'd assume they'd want a "name," so they might try to throw some money at Savage or Sting , but I think a TNA face could get a great rub by being tossed in there. The problem is, they haven't developed anyone who could plausibly be in the main event without sticking out. The Truth would probably be the most likely choice, but he's been buried since spending last summer as JJ's bitch and he's scheduled to be on the pre-show. Any other thoughts on who the mystery man might be?
RedJed 0 Report post Posted April 20, 2005 Cut and pasted from another thread.. Can we be so lucky to NOT have Nash on this ppv? That opens up a barrage of possibilities for a replacement. They could do something with Brown changing sides during the ppv or something although that turn here might be rushed. Or else I would imagine a replacement might be either BG James or Killings perhaps. This would be a good time to do the James heel turn to side with Gunn. A better idea would be to just debut a new or returning star - Dlo Brown comes to mind. I dont think Scott Hall is in good enough shape to be Nash's replacement, but that would be another possibility.

I dont think Scott Hall is in good enough shape to be Nash's replacement, but that would be another possibility. If they can convince D'Lo to come back, I'd be down for that. His first TNA run was absolutely awesome (his feud with Styles one if its best World title programs ever) and if he can work like he did that summer, great. Plus, it could be explained storyline wise since he always had it out for Jarrett.
Guest Birdman37 Report post Posted April 21, 2005 im guessin that they'll throw out fuckin BG James, Ron Killings, or somebody like that but i would love to see Sting or Sabu come in and be the mystery partner. wont happen but still nice to dream lol
Guest Shadow Report post Posted April 21, 2005 Sabu would be the one guy worst then Nash.
Placebo Effect 0 Report post Posted April 21, 2005 Sabu would be the one guy worst then Nash. At least it wouldn't be a Battle Royal so he can't eliminate himself this time.
slimm44 0 Report post Posted April 21, 2005 I have a feeling it will be Scott Hall, hopefully it will be a surprise debut or return. If it is someone like Killings or another 3LK member, the match could go from bad to worse.
Jingus 0 Report post Posted April 21, 2005 Are you kidding me? Hell yes I'd rather see Ron Killings in that match rather than Kevin Nash.
Adam 0 Report post Posted April 21, 2005 Rhyno? Or does he have a no-compete clause as well?
natey2k4 0 Report post Posted April 21, 2005 Are you kidding me? Hell yes I'd rather see Ron Killings in that match rather than Kevin Nash. rather see Killings in that match? Yes. would it make any storyline sense? No.. unless Nash went searching for a replacement on the PPV cuz of his injury and Killings stepped up. I guess it could make sense too if say it Killing and Outlaw were fighting, BG could come out, nail Killings. BAMMO! NAO v. Killings/Konnan at the next PPV. Match would be okay at best, but at least it would have some continous story behind it.
Guest Coffey Report post Posted April 21, 2005 Who betta than Kanyon? Hey, I can dream can't I?
Zack Malibu 0 Report post Posted April 21, 2005 Kanyon would make sense, since he's a known DDP ally. Terry Funk comes to mind as another possibility.
RedJed 0 Report post Posted April 21, 2005 Kanyon would be perfect, that would be my pick since they could then move him down to the X division post-ppv or in a nice midcard feud against a guy like Monte Brown, who I bet he would make look like a million bucks. Guest Arnold_OldSchool Report post Posted April 21, 2005 Nash must've finally thought that 5000 grand a PPV wasn't worth it
King Cucaracha 0 Report post Posted April 21, 2005 Thinking it over, Outlaw and Waltman are paired off, Jarrett and DDP are paired off...Nash vs. Brown would have been bigman vs. bigman. Anyone with beef with Monty would make sense. Trytan?
natey2k4 0 Report post Posted April 22, 2005 Trytan? Thanks for just giving them a replacement
