Der Kommissar 0 Report post Posted April 30, 2005 The Blue Jays just went up 2-0 in the 7th, as Randy Johnson must be feeling like he's in Arizona again. EDIT: Did Toronto go back to being the Blue Jays again or are they still just the Jays? Just curious.
strummer 0 Report post Posted April 30, 2005 Livan Hernandez is making the Mets his personal bitch yet again, this is getting to absurd levels now

EVIL~! alkeiper 0 Report post Posted April 30, 2005 At least this time the Yankees are facing a good pitcher. It's nice to see Geary do well. He's dominated the minors, and he deserves an extended chance in Philly.
CanadianChris 0 Report post Posted April 30, 2005 Wow...the Yankees need to win tomorrow just to get to 10 wins for the month. Sadly, with Bush on the hill for Toronto, they'll probably get it.
MarvinisaLunatic 0 Report post Posted April 30, 2005 Orioles are winning 5-0. 3 HR's off Nomo.

EVIL~! alkeiper 0 Report post Posted April 30, 2005 3 doubles and a HR for Cabrera tonight. Just a joy to watch. For you. This team is just disgusting to watch at times. It is difficult because the talent is there, they just can not get it done for some reason.

Sounds familiar. Perhaps. But there are times when the breaks just do not go your way, and it can get frustrating at times. Especially when the team came within an eyelash of pulling it out. Sounds familiar. While I haven't seen a Philies game this year, I'd say the Yankees are a bit more confusing. Sheff is 12 for his last 29, Jeter is 10 for his last 29, Wolmack is 7 for 18, A-Rod is 11 for 31. I just don't get how their not scoring.
Bruiser Chong 0 Report post Posted April 30, 2005 OMG Cubs beat Clemens and LaTroy gets the one-run save. I should go out an miss games more often. And Halladay gets the CG shutout. Fuckin' awesome.
MarvinisaLunatic 0 Report post Posted April 30, 2005 All I can say is that Im shocked the Os have a 3 game lead over the Blue Jays on the last day of April, but its a happy shocked. Im also not going to get my hopes up because, even if the Os can keep the pace they've set going, I dont think that the Yankees and Red Sox will keep with their slow starts. The O's desperately need to do well on this 12 game homestand (Im willing to bet the longest of the season..not 100% sure though) vs TB, Toronto, KC and Minnesota. Right now they have a 9-2 record on the road vs a 6-5 record at home and the hitters so far are having a better go of it on the road than at home although the pitching has been about even. ISportsFan 0 Report post Posted April 30, 2005 I am not going to bother checking the box score, but by my count just from trying remember inning-to-inning, the White Sox left 16 on base in an 11 inning 3-2 loss to the Tigers. Wasting a bunch of runners yet again, the Sox better pick up the hitting. Jason
Spaceman Spiff 0 Report post Posted April 30, 2005 Hey, (possibly) catch me on Sportscenter. I went to the Phillies game Friday night, and you can see me in the crowd shot when Utley's HR ball lands. I'll leave it up to you to figure out which person I am. Also, that ball SMACKED a little girl in the head when it entered the crowd, and ended up about 10-15 seats away. Last I saw, the parents grabbed her and were escorted to the 1st aid station. Not sure if she's OK or not. Pretty scary, as you could hear it carom off her head. Posada, 0-for-the Angels. Tino, 5/27. Bernie, 2/19. This team can't sustain a rally because no one past the 5-hole can get a hit.

Not sure if she's OK or not. Pretty scary, as you could hear it carom off her head. Oh great, this is gonna be Brittanie Cecil all over again. It says on the tickets, KEEP YOUR EYES ON THE GAME AT ALL TIMES. (I think?) Yeah if she dies, like the girl that took a hockey puck to the head, watch the major leagues mandate that giant safety nets go up above the outfield walls. Really messes with the announcer's home run call: "That's high and deep, going back, back, way back...and THAT one would theoretically go in the stands and it's TECHNICALLY GONE!" mike546 0 Report post Posted April 30, 2005 awaits all the talk that Tony Womack is a "clutch" player, Yankees win 4-3 in bottom of the 9th Anybody who hits 500. in his last 17 ABs without an RBI is not clutch. Anyway, a win. The starting pitching is better, and I'll take this Wang guy for how long Wrights out anyday. Hell, I'll take him over Wright.
MarvinisaLunatic 0 Report post Posted April 30, 2005 Roberts hit a 3 run HR to give the Os a 7-4 lead going to the 9th, but Ryan has given up a HR and a double to start off the 9th and its 7-5 tie run at the plate.
