Caliban 0 Report post Posted April 27, 2005 From the observer... --Raw on Monday night did a 4.0 rating from England Was it Christian, or Batista... or the hot crowd?
benoit4hor 0 Report post Posted April 27, 2005 I'm thinking it was the Trish & Vis angle. Actually Vis showed some of the best "acting" I've ever seen on Raw.
Taker666 0 Report post Posted April 27, 2005 Just an overall interest in the product. I really don't think people tune in just to see one guy with around 50 superstars on the roster. I thought Raw was overall a good show.
Lord of The Curry 0 Report post Posted April 27, 2005 Clearly they knew that the Page 3 girls would be on the show and all the filthy Limey's tuned in. And Big Vis.
what 0 Report post Posted April 27, 2005 I think Christian is a guy who shows should be based around. He's so much more interesting than HHH.
Taker666 0 Report post Posted April 27, 2005 I think Christian is a guy who shows should be based around. He's so much more interesting than HHH. But that will never happen with both of them on the same show, which is why Christian desperatlly needs to go to SD! away from Triple H.
Guest LooneyTune Report post Posted April 27, 2005 Just move everyone to Smackdown, leaving Triple H and Ric Flair by themselves on RAW. It's whats most important on RAW apparently.
Adam 0 Report post Posted April 27, 2005 "which is why Christian desperatlly needs to go to SD! away from Triple H. " Same could be said about Jericho, Kane, Edge... put any top star on RAW in that place really.
Guest Desperate Housewife Report post Posted April 27, 2005 I'd hardly call Chris Jericho or Kane "big names on Raw" if the former is fodder for Shelton Benjamin! and Kane is fighting Mabel.....
Guest LooneyTune Report post Posted April 27, 2005 Kane did pop big ratings during his unmasking angle... then Shane McMahon kicked his ass. So when booked right, he is a big name. Ditto Jericho... it's just right now, they're an afterthought in booking.
razazteca 0 Report post Posted April 28, 2005 It was MEAN GENE & Hogan......brotha!
Jobber of the Week 0 Report post Posted April 28, 2005 4.0 really isn't that great. In 2003 we used to regularly have "OMG 4.0" threads during the dark period until it became obvious it wasn't really that big an accomplishment.
Exslade ZX 0 Report post Posted April 28, 2005 It's obvious, it was Christian. I mean, just take a look a Shopzone, his shirts #1 surpassing Cena's CD/Jersey/Bracelet (lol)/and well..all of the other stuff, and it's been up there what? Since 2004? Man, what a segment with Vince Mcmahon can do. Yea, I know it really wasn't Vince. But as someone said, probaly just an overall interest in the product. And 4.0, even though more common now then they were last year, or the year before is still good.
Ravenbomb 0 Report post Posted April 28, 2005 It was Christian though some of the Trish/Vis stuff was really good. The delivery in the "What does Viscera mean?" exchange was especially awesome
Lord of The Curry 0 Report post Posted April 28, 2005 They need to run an Abusive Pimp/Battered Ho storyline with Vis and Trish.
CanadianChick 0 Report post Posted April 28, 2005 They need to run an Abusive Pimp/Battered Ho storyline with Vis and Trish. I dunno, judging from Monday, it's more abusive ho.
Mole 0 Report post Posted April 28, 2005 Is that up from the past few weeks?
slimm44 0 Report post Posted April 28, 2005 C'mon, it has to be because of Val Venis. LOL Maybe the Christian's Peep nation is beginning to grow
Ravenbomb 0 Report post Posted April 28, 2005 They need to run an Abusive Pimp/Battered Ho storyline with Vis and Trish. and it needs to include a little boy with crutches "Sir, that is my ho!"
razazteca 0 Report post Posted April 28, 2005 Bring back Zach Gowen and give him a lisp gimmick.
Kahran Ramsus 0 Report post Posted April 28, 2005 Anyone else notice how the ratings tend to go up when Batista is in the main event and down when HHH is in the main event?
Guest Salacious Crumb Report post Posted April 28, 2005 Anyone else notice how the ratings tend to go up when Batista is in the main event and down when HHH is in the main event? It was like that last year as well. Ratings would do ok when Benoit was around or advertised and tanked when it was clear Benoit was going to be a complete afterthought. TheFranchise 0 Report post Posted April 28, 2005 Just move everyone to Smackdown, leaving Triple H and Ric Flair by themselves on RAW. That would be a sight to behold, Ric would open up Raw with a 'whoooooo' in the middle of the ring, Triple H would sit down in the ring and talk about what he was going to do to his next opponent, before realising that he's got noone to face, therefore just spends 2 hours talking about his accomplistments. Weekly.
MillenniumMan831 0 Report post Posted April 28, 2005 they oughta keep Hurricane Helms on Raw then so he can interrupt every week at about 10:50 EST only to be thrown off the stage and pedigreed every week.
TheFranchise 0 Report post Posted April 28, 2005 Yeah, then Batista could show up and save the day at around 10:57 EST.
King Cucaracha 0 Report post Posted April 28, 2005 It was clearly down to the Vis/Trish angle. "Hey, waiter...see that page there...that's me dawg."
Guest MikeSC Report post Posted April 28, 2005 I just want to know why they couldn't find room for the Heart Throbs. Have they abandoned all hope after one match? -=Mike
Guest JerichosHi-Lite Report post Posted April 29, 2005 Christian is awesome and totally over right now. Which makes me think they'll turn him face. His gimmick could maybe work as a face, but judging by Randy Orton, it's unlikely. They better get behind Christian and push him to the moon ... or the Raw equivalent, being Triple H's latest jobber
Guest MikeSC Report post Posted April 30, 2005 No, they'll just ignore him. Shame. I could handle him doing 20 minute promos. -=Mike
