I don't know if it's gone up since, but at Safeco Field I never saw any parking under $20. So when I found out it was only $10 at Turner Field I didn't feel ripped off at all.

The Sox are playing well, I'll give them that. I actually think that they're pretty solid to win the Central. I think right now, it looks like a three-way race for two spots between Baltimore, Boston, and Minnesota. I'm certainly not ceding this series though. Garland is far and away the White Sox' toughest pitching matchup right now, and the Orioles could easily win two out of three the rest of the way.

Oh come on, sure the Yankees are struggling early, but their STILL only 6.5 games back, with 13 games left to play against the Os and Boston.

That might be helpful if they were going to win those games. The fact of the matter is that despite all the money the Yankees have spent, they really don't have all that talented of a team.

 

Brian Cashman's done the worst job in the majors, GM-wise, as with all that money, he didn't sign any good young players that would be solid in the future. The Yankees are stuck paying a bunch of washed-up guys that were decent a couple years ago $10+ million per season, and they're still nothing more than an average ballclub.

 

The Blue Jays have as good of a shot at making the postseason as the Yankees do.

Come on now. By the All-Star Break, the Yankees will be in 2nd place, beind the Red Sox. The Yankees are practically the same team the Orioles have, except with better pitching (finally starting to come around), and less depth. Now that our pitching is back to what it was supposed to be, I don't see us as an average team. I do however see the Orioles as this year's Texas Rangers.

Adding on to what Cena said, not everythings in Cashmans hands. He wanted V-Lad, George signed Sheff. Theres been a ton of times where Cashman has been overruled.

NO ONE is more biased then the Angels announcers here in socal. former Yankee failure Rex Hudler and some guy named Steve Phsyioc (sp?) especially steve. They just gush about the angels, and when I watch them (when the yanks are playing the angels) all they talk about is how many times they have beaten the yanks since 96 and keep referencing the 02 alds as if it means something now. Steve always calls the yankees, the new yorkers in such a sarcastic way as if he is trying to infer that the angels beating the yanks makes anaheim better than NY or somethin. They downright cheer for the angels. At least Vin Scully doesn't cheer for the dodgers all the time like these two goofs do for the angels. I almost want to shoot a hole right thru my TV screen listening to these goons.

 

However I understand why you'd be put off by Sterling, but at elast he is just on the radio and not on the tv.

From what I have seen of the YES network(ie not that much) , the annoucners seems to be low-key and mostly impartial (Kay says "see ya" loudly for any Homer hit by any team). But since I don't see it much I can't have an opinion.

Just out of curiosity, do you watch Angels games when they are not playing the Yankees?

I've watched Angels v. Rangers games and saw no issue with the announcing. Hudler is a pretty good announcer.

 

Every announce team is biased in some minute way or else they'd likely be fired. They're always going to take the home-team's side on a close call. The good ones will accept facts against it.

I'm following the Sox/O's game on gamecast, and will someone let the Sox know their supposed to hit the ball hard on 3-1 and 2-0 counts. I swear this is the 3rd inning in a row where they've had a batter pop up on a 3-1 count.

Because, Williams > Giambi. Not to mention Giambi's contract is far greater, so the team would slightly benefit. The 2005 Yankees lose nothing by this. Bernie has the POTENTIAL to be an all around better player this year, as far as a bench guy goes.

Again, Bernie actually HITS THE GOD DAMN BALL. Sure Giambi has a better OBP, slugging, and OPS, but Bernie has more hits, a better average, more RBIs, and again, CAN HIT THE DAMN BALL.

Miguel Cabrera just damn near hit one out of Petco Park... all the way to the 3rd Tier of the Warehouse in Left Field. It was a bomb... left the park in about 5 seconds.

Very rarely does a team reach a worst case scenerio in terms of expectations. Unfortunently the A's are rapidly heading towards that. Rich Harden gets hammered tonight and leaves with an injury. This is a nightmare.
