David Blazenwing 0 Report post Posted May 10, 2005 So I'm trying to explain to a guy I know what the move is like, and I can't explain it for crap, and I KNOW there used to be a clip here (b/c I remember people had it in their avatars...) So does anyone still have it, or at the very least, know where I could find a clip of it?
tbondrage99 0 Report post Posted May 11, 2005 Thats has to be one of the most insane looking moves ever.
Ripper 0 Report post Posted May 11, 2005 And he usually sticks it instead of the dude bouncing like that. All the wrestlers say they wouldn't take that move from anyone except him though. i don't blame them.
Guest whitemilesdavis Report post Posted May 11, 2005 That's got to be the most rediculous finisher ever.
Lightning Flik 0 Report post Posted May 11, 2005 I'd take it over the People's Elbow.
Guest whitemilesdavis Report post Posted May 11, 2005 At least Rock could perform the people's elbow on someone uncapable of doing a back flip.
Lightning Flik 0 Report post Posted May 11, 2005 So? Nearly everyone's willing to take the Canadian Destroyer, so I think your point is moot. Hell, if someone can't do a back flip, why are they in wrestling? Especially considering the only people who can't do a back flip are the extreme hosses. The Canadian Destroyer is a better finisher in terms of style than the People's Elbow.

{''({o..o})''} 0 Report post Posted May 11, 2005 So do irish whips, bouncing off the ropes, and damn near half of the other moves.
Guest whitemilesdavis Report post Posted May 11, 2005 So it's fine for that to be stupid because lots of other things are stupid?
Youth N Asia 0 Report post Posted May 11, 2005 There's no doubt that the move is just completly unrealistic...but no more than a guy hunched over for a year and a half waiting for Booker T to drop a weak scissors kick. When it's done well it's about the coolest looking moves ever.
Guest whitemilesdavis Report post Posted May 11, 2005 If you're a gymnastics fan, that's cool, but as a wrestling fan, it is a lot easier to believe an irish whip (guy grabs guy by arm and throws him in some direction) than guy grabs other guy, and they do a simultaneous flip. PLAGIARISM! 0 Report post Posted May 11, 2005 I agree. But since it's fake anyway, I can appreciate athleticism here and there.

Youth N Asia 0 Report post Posted May 11, 2005 In a world of People's Elbows, Worms, and Mark Jindrak throwing HEART PUNCHES! I'll take the Canadian Destroyer.
I like Forums 0 Report post Posted May 11, 2005 How can you say an Irish Whip makes sense? Once somebody tries to whip you in one direction, why would you keep running?
JST 0 Report post Posted May 11, 2005 One could sell the fact that Petey's got super-strong legs, enough to flip a guy over and drop him on his head. Also wanted to show off me watching the move live.
Exslade ZX 0 Report post Posted May 11, 2005 That's a great picture. Although I can't help but notice the hairy legs. As I know most wrestlers, at least who where small tights, shave their legs.
Youth N Asia 0 Report post Posted May 11, 2005 There's really not too much to the move, everyone keeps talking about the guy being able to backflip. All he has to do is stand up fast and plant himself headfirst, and with Petey helping it isn't that hard.
Fro 0 Report post Posted May 12, 2005 Yeah, when you consider a back bodydrop is 270 degrees and the Destroyer is 180 for the guy taking the move, it's not really a huge feat to flip over. Petey has it a little harder, but he's just doing a flip. Really looks incredible though, since both guys are in midair at the same time.
Carnival 0 Report post Posted May 12, 2005 It sucks he can't do it to everyone, but its a great move nonetheless. If someone in the WWE did it. They would be instantly over. But nobody will since WWE says to to piledrivers. I've always been worried about someone stealing the Styles Clash.

Carnival 0 Report post Posted May 12, 2005 Crash Holly used the Styles Clash occassionally, calling it the Crash Landing. did he do this in WWE? i haven't seen it. I'm assuming he stole it from Styles or did he?
Ripper 0 Report post Posted May 12, 2005 Crash Holly used the Styles Clash occassionally, calling it the Crash Landing. But he never won. So people never saw it. And seriously, that move isn't really that much of the guy doing a back flip, it really is Petey momentum carrying them over for the most part if you think about it. Like someone said, all the other guy is doing is standing up, which would make this a believeable counter to a back drop if you think about it. It is still one kickass move. Guest Corino 1000 Report post Posted May 12, 2005 How can you say an Irish Whip makes sense? Once somebody tries to whip you in one direction, why would you keep running? Actuall an Irish whip makes a hell of alot of sense if you think terms of it. If someone throws you one direction your trying to stop right? Well as soon as you stop you hit the ropes which gives a bounce of momentum an you crash into the guy. Its just alot of young athletes today forget what the sports about, stop focusing on things like believable punches, psycology, and instead they start focusing on how to backflip....In this case Canadian destroyer. The Destroyer is no worse in terms of psychology than a hundred other moves. Billy Gunn stole the Styles Clash too, which was quite funny.

All they have to do is stand up.
