C'mon, Philly fans gave us the awesome "GET TO THE POINT!" directed towards HBK's rambling nWo promo.

Touche.

Philly fans are still the worst sports fans on earth.

As Sports Fans, Philly fans are fine. Obviously stupidly arrogant, but they are at least dedicated.

Toronto, fuck off. You don't support the Argo's or Jays unless they are winners. You have no claim to anything.

In wrestling, you both lick balls.

Dear Toronto Fans,

SummerSlam 2004.

Love,

UseTheSledgehammerUh (Philly Fans = Wrestling's Best)

Forgive us for cheering who we want and not being sheep.

SummerSlam had the "Lita is a Dumas" sign which is probably one of the most understatedly hilarious moments in WWE PPV history.

I could give two fucks about the Jays and Argos and Raptors. I cheer for the Leafs and that's about it.

Shit, I forgot to put up the "HBK Fanboys Stay The Fuck Out" sign on the door.

SSlam 2004 clearly went beyond that into "intentionally cheering who you're not supposed to cheer just to fuck things up." It's like you guys took the love you got from Rock-Hogan and let it go to your heads or something.

Of course, it didn't help that JR & Lawler kept up with "Bizzarro World! Bizzarro World! We're in Canada! Bizzarro World!"

Perhaps its because that chant is stupid and unoriginal, like your second-rate country's stupid wave during a WWE Title match.

Toronto: They claim to be "super smart fans"...yet they give notorious locker room cancers like Hogan and Triple H mega-pops and lead to their continued pushes.

Super stupid silly Canadian marks.

The fans should just go and cheer for who they were told to cheer for.

That'd be awesome

No, the fans should cheer for who they like.

However, Toronto was an example of the Canadian mark fans believing they were important just because they cheered for Hogan at WM 18 (as any other fans would have). They took it upon themselves to purposely make SummerSlam a train wreck by having the crowd go against the grain in important matches, as well as sit on their hands for others.

Lame.

At some point, performers have to earn their reactions.

Oh?

So it's okay when you've got guys with no long-term value such as Snitsky and Viscera getting pops.

Yet it's okay to do the wave when much better workers and characters such as JBL are in title matches ? meh.

The match sucked, the feud sucked and it was a programme that obviously Toronto fans couldn't give a shit about.

I applaud them for amusing themselves.

The "Holy Shit" chant has certainly been deluded over the years. The first one came when Mike Awesome looked like he was killed live on the air after being powerbombed through a table over the top rope to the outside. The way his body went down...OUCH. Now it seems a "Holy Shit" chant pops up for a plancha.

Even though what you're saying makes zero fuckin sense, I get it.

"Wanna be a real sports city?"

That nonsense makes me think that you're questioning Toronto's value in terms of sports and history, to which I kinda disagree. There's that Hockey Hall of Fame. Oh, and the Leafs themselves and the culture built around it. Say what you want about the team currently, hell even the team for the last decade or so but the fans are amongst the most (if not most) loyal sports fans. The Leafs have a place in hockey history as one of the Original Six. Yeah, the Blue Jays also winning back to back world series and being the only Canadian MLB team to do so is alright too.

We're a pretty alright sports city methinks. Your definition of 'real' will most likely be skewed as fuck so I'm done with you now.

They shat over a bad match, a bad program, and a character who was holding the title which he debatably deserved. It happens alot. People don't cheer, people boo, people chant. They wanted to be active. I can't possibly blame them for that.

You want to talk about guys with long-term value? Bradshaw was a career mid-carder. Undertaker was trying to revive a dead gimmick, and was pushing how old?

So, the thread's about ECW and Toronto is brought up. A city who never got ECW. The wrestling organization that apparently bred some of the greatest fans in the world, yet Toronto is being talked about. Yep, we must be doing something right. Toronto is also very rich in pro wrestling history if you check it up. It's a hotbed for a reason. If New York is considered to be the mecca for Vince Mcmahon in America, then Toronto is a mecca for Canada(yeah, I'm a mothercanucker from Toronto).

SummerSlam sucked plain and simple. At least JBL got a real reaction at SummerSlam. At Mania the crowd couldn't care any less. The card sucked, so the fans had fun for themselves. When they came to Toronto for RAW a couple of months back there weren't any problems. HHH gets cheered over Eugene because Eugene is a lame gimmick that most people here were attacking last summer. Edge was also stinking up the joint last year and he got booed for it. At least half a year later the wwe did much better for WrestleMania. SummerSlam is the second biggest show of the year and Mania beats it easily. If the crowd was a regular crowd I bet everyone would have called SummerSlam for what it was.

Nothing good has really come out of that show with Orton flopping, Eugene injured, UT sucking until they put him against Orton at Mania, JBL with a dead reign(although he has become more entertaining, but the reign sucked), Edge turning heel and probably proving "Lita is a Dumas", and what else? Oh yeah, that wonderful Booker/Cena match that meant absolutely nothing(not even a title match). Seriously, if they did that card with the same MSG crowd for Mania it would have been crapped on too. Besides Vince Mcmahon came on TSN and stated Canada as being heels. They have their hand in it as well.

You proclaim to be a real sports city, the only real one in Canada. Yet you support one sport. Thats not a major sports city, thats Green Bay.

Philly, New York, Boston, St Louis, Detriot, Chicago. Fuck, even Miami has over you.

You a HOCKEY town, not A Sports town.

Miami only cares about the Dolphins.

They only care about the Heat right now because their winning.

This is a really dumb argument

Hey, let's stop with the whole "which city is better?" arguement, shall we?

Agreed. This whole "My city can beat up your city" stuff's got to stop.

Who will be the group of Raw wrestlers 'invading' One Night Stand?

Probably some ex-WCW guys...William Regal maybe after his segment tonight. Of course it's easily predictable what the fall-out will be

Oops back to Toronto for a second; but I've been a visitor in the crowd for both Summerslam and January's RAW and both have been the best crowds I've ever been a part of (compared to Rochester, Buffalo or Syracuse who all get their fare share of TV tapings at least).
