Prophet of Mike Zagurski 0 Report post Posted June 13, 2005 THE DRAFT LOTTERY CONTINUES RAW Preview for June 13, 2005 People are still buzzing about last week’s shocking RAW. WWE Champion John Cena moved to Monday nights as the first-overall pick in the Draft Lottery, and the likes of Tommy Dreamer, the Dudleys and The Sandman took the fight to Bischoff’s anti-ECW crusaders as the show went off the air. Although it still hasn’t fully sunk in that “The Champ is here,” it’s already time to brace for RAW’s second selection. Which SmackDown! Superstar will be next, and what will the ripple effect be throughout WWE? On Thursday, RAW lost "The Crippler" Chris Benoit to SmackDown! via the Draft Lottery. How will RAW’s newest acquisition fill that void? Tune in Monday to find out. In addition to the second SmackDown!-to-RAW Draft Lottery selection, the main event will feature RAW’s newest champion — John Cena — in a tag-team match alongside Y2J against Christian & Tyson Tomko. And none other than Stone Cold Steve Austin will be administering some Texas Rattlesnake-style justice in Stone Cold Court. He’ll be presiding over disgruntled Superstars Muhammad Hassan and Daivari. Don’t miss what is sure to be another unforgettable RAW, as the eventful roster shakeup continues. I always wanted to start one of these. I wonder how Bischoff will treat the ECW/WWE guys. I think the WWE Fantasy Game starts today. Also, HHH may start to work Tuedays
Secret Agent 0 Report post Posted June 13, 2005 They better not draft someone stupid like a referee or anything. I'm calling for RVD to get drafted.
Angles Broken Fricken Neck 0 Report post Posted June 13, 2005 you know, i have a feeling there will be no mention that a ppv took place last night.
Guest Deadbolt Report post Posted June 13, 2005 I predict that Angle gets drafted tonight. After all, he got choked out by Taz last night and unless there's a Taz/Angle feud coming up there is no reason to keep him on SD. Trading him to Raw would be a good way to make people just forget what happened to Kurt at ONS.
Just John 0 Report post Posted June 13, 2005 I'd expect a midcarder or someone relatively unimportant to be drafted like Rene Dupree or Matt Morgan.
Guest Lemon Drop Kid Report post Posted June 13, 2005 I hope Matt Morgan gets drafted to the moon.
Kahran Ramsus 0 Report post Posted June 13, 2005 Matt Morgan is actually impressive, but his stuttering gimmick is killing him, and sticking him in with someone even bigger and stronger than him isn't a good way to get him over. RVD never belonged on Smackdown so move him back. He just doesn't work well with anybody on that show. He is also better in the live environment because he pops the crowd, but his ring work is pretty lousy. Kurt doesn't belong on RAW and he's close to done, so it probably doesn't matter in the long run either way. Just do what you can to get some value out of him before he's retired/injured. Undertaker is someone who like RVD would benefit from the live show, but unlike RVD his best potential opponents are on Smackdown (Benoit, Guerrero). They are insane if they move JBL, Guerrero or Misterio so I won't talk about them much. Of the lower card, anybody but the cruisers, the Cabinet, Carlito & MNM would be okay. My guess is Angle, but I hope its RVD. I wouldn't be surprised if it is Jindrak though. They always seem to love pushing him, and it sure ain't going to happen on Smackdown. Feud him with Masters over a mirror or something.
AlaskanHero 0 Report post Posted June 13, 2005 Feud him (Jindrak) with Masters over a mirror or something. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Or put them together as a tag-team. If they're gonna have similar gimmicks, might as well put them together as a team or at least loose allies. Oh and just as a side note, tonight is the first night for the new season of WWE Fantasy. Team Angle Pusher 0 Report post Posted June 13, 2005 Tweaking my Fantasy team a bit because Viscera isn't being used anymore and Ric Flair ain't wrestling lately. So this is my team now: Carlito (they keep giving him cheap wins but he IS winning and then you get points. He's being pushed so he's a great guy to pick up) Chris Masters (They are still pushing him. I see Masters winning another match tonight. I wonder how long they'll push him though) Edge (Will beat Kane and is a next World Champion) John Cena (Don't need to explain this. He's over big time now, they won't depush him and he WILL beat Christian and Tomko tonight) Johnny Nitro (I don't see MNM losing the belts soon and he's very cheap for a guy who keeps winning) Chris Benoit (just got shipped to Smackdown! and he will pick up some wins and I actually see him winning the WWE or World Title this year) Maria (She shows up every show so I get points and I didn't know what to do with my money) Matt Morgan (Impressive guy who will get pushed heavily this year me thinks) Muhammed Hassan (Undefeated) ===== Deleted Ric Flair, Viscera and Kurt Angle. I got Chris Masters, Johnny Nitro and Benoit.
cabbageboy 0 Report post Posted June 13, 2005 Nah I wouldn't move RVD back to Raw...he's still hurt and wouldn't even be part of a storyline at the moment. Besides, he has all sorts of good stuff he could do with Rey, Eddie, Benoit, etc. on SMDN. What's he gonna do on Raw, dick around with a heel turned Jericho? Maybe go after the IC title and Shelton? It'd be a great match but I'm sick of seeing RVD fuck around in the IC division. It should be Angle. He's embarrassed at the moment, got his ass kicked by Taz, Booker T, and so on. He has nothing to do on SMDN now so just move him.
Guest *KNK* Report post Posted June 13, 2005 Tonight will just be horrible.
Guest Fook Report post Posted June 13, 2005 Don't move Angle. He's pretty much the only guy who hasn't switched brands since the split and there really isn't any reason to move him now. I say move Tazz and pair him up with JR. They've done a good job calling the rumble the past couple of years and I think they'd do well as a full time team. Plus, it'll finally break the monotony of the Raw announcing team (it's literally been JR and Lawler for over seven years).

Caliban 0 Report post Posted June 13, 2005 Austin's segment with Hassan and Daivari should be good for a laugh. And the main event is interesting. Christian/Tomko vs Jericho/Cena? Has a lot of potential if you ask me. At least they have a main event announced this week, they need another solid draft pick now to show fans that the bookers aren't pussyfooting around anymore. Placebo Effect 0 Report post Posted June 13, 2005 It's gonna be tough to watch this show after last night. Thank God for TiVo.
Downhome 0 Report post Posted June 13, 2005 My thoughts also PE. If they go out there and have a bad RAW, it'll speak volumes to the people who watched the PPV last night, especially those who saw that kind of show for the first time.

naiwf 0 Report post Posted June 13, 2005 Where is it tonight? I'm hoping the diva search gets shit on, badly. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> It happened pretty regularly last year, and they still did another round of it. If whatever random chick wins the contract poses for Playboy and sells enough issues, there will no doubt be a 3rd one too, as much as that sucks for those of us old enough to get our porn fixes elsewhere. Downhome 0 Report post Posted June 13, 2005 The DS starts tonight on RAW!? From WWE.com: NOTE: Stone Cold has demanded that Stone Cold Court begin promptly at 9/8 CT tonight (on Spike TV) That's a huge surprise.
ChrisMWaters 0 Report post Posted June 13, 2005 You know what Raw will need as a semi-permanent fixture to make it REALLY fun to me? The bWo! Vince is afraid to admit it, but bWo = Ratings.
DrVenkman PhD 0 Report post Posted June 14, 2005 I'm almost certain that only video announcing the 8 finalists is airing tonight... if that. I don't think any of them will be in house tonight.

It won't happen while he's still needed as the onscreen uber-boss of the company, but as he winds down his career it's definitely an option.
Adam 0 Report post Posted June 14, 2005 I would love RVD to get drafted, and then for HHH to move shows next week, winning the Vengeance HIAC. Then RVD can come back with Fonzie and beat Cena for the belt, all is good in the world. Apart from the Cena match and the possible ECW appearance, I don't give a shit about anything else. Exslade ZX 0 Report post Posted June 14, 2005 So, did the ECW ppv put an 'extra pep' in the WWE fans? Because already there seems to be a shitload more signs and the like, like we used to see.
