Jobber of the Week 0 Report post Posted June 17, 2005 San Jose police: "Horrendous" molester may have had thousands of victims SAN JOSE, Calif. - A convicted child molester jailed in California may have committed sex crimes against thousands of victims, police said Thursday after finding computers, notebooks and handwritten lists with more than 36,000 boys' names and codes apparently indicating various sex acts. (...) During a search of Schwartzmiller's bedroom last month in San Jose, police discovered at least seven multicolored, spiral-bound notebooks, listing in loopy cursive more than 36,000 children's names - apparently all boys. The names were categorized according to the type of sex acts performed, the age of the victims and other codes whose meaning is unclear - such as an "F" or "X" at the end of the entry. Many of the entries listed in more than 1,360 pages did not include last names, and some appeared to be repeats, making police cautious about estimating how many people Schwartzmiller may have victimized. "If one-tenth of these numbers are accurate, we're looking at hundreds of victims in a number of states. The reason we want to tell the world about this is because we believe he's been involved in child molestations in a number of countries," said Cornfield. Schwartzmiller's roommate, Fred Everts, is also in jail after police arrested him last month. He was convicted in 1993 for sodomy and sex abuse in Multnomah County, Oregon, and spent four years in prison before violating parole and fleeing the state. Everts also was charged with child molestation in San Jose, including one count involving one of Schwartzmiller's two alleged victims. Police who raided the home seized several computers and a 6-foot-tall server, which is being analyzed by a forensic lab in Menlo Park. Cornfield, who is part of a special police unit specializing in Internet crimes against children, said police are trying to determine whether Schwartzmiller was operating a Web site or otherwise using his computers to lure victims. Although police say Schwartzmiller appears to have spent much of the past 30 years in California, he has also been arrested on child molestation charges in New York, Idaho, Oregon, Arkansas and Washington. He has also lived in Nevada, Texas and Washington. In 1984, the Idaho Supreme Court upheld a 1978 conviction for molesting two 14-year-old boys and characterized Schwartzmiller as a "repeat offender" who "uses his intelligence to take advantage of the weak and oppressed and those who are in need." Schwartzmiller "frequents areas where young boys may be found, befriends boys with no father figure in the home, entices them from their homes, lowers their natural inhibitions through the use of drugs and alcohol, and commits sex acts upon them," the justices wrote. He's also wanted in Oregon on felony sexual assault charges involving a minor. After serving prison time in Idaho for child molestation in the late 1970s, he lived in Brazil, and was extradited from there to Idaho again in the late 1980s, Cornfield said. Schwartzmiller has used aliases including Dean Harmon and Dean Miller. He apparently gained the trust of victims and parents by working as a home renovation contractor, and it appears that he didn't register as required, so that his history as a sex offender did not appear in the "Megan's Law" databases in California or other states, they said. Sgt. Tom Sims, a supervisor with the department's child exploitation division, expressed frustration that Schwartzmiller has been able to live out of jail for most of his life, despite multiple convictions in several states. "There's not a lot parents or the public can do in way of Megan's Law if those people don't register," said Sims. "It's as shocking to me as to you. I've never seen anything like this." Holy cow. You'd think the feeling of virgin ass would get a tad tiring after something around the eight thousandth time. And what the hell, nobody knew about his record of being exiled from various states and nations for sucking off six year olds, because he declined to offer that informatin to the Megan's Law database. That's the kind of retardation that appears when people who complain about "the government snooping into our lives" go too far. So, is NAMBLA going to assemble a legal defense fund for this guy or what?

Dobbs 3K 0 Report post Posted June 19, 2005 Does anyone really think the death penalty shouldn't be an option for someone like this? Does anyone really think someone like this can be rehabilitated? At the very least, this is evidence that child molestors should be imprisoned for life without parole, and probably executed as well as far as I'm concerned. Dr. Tom 0 Report post Posted June 21, 2005 Does anyone really think the death penalty shouldn't be an option for someone like this? No. We'd need some kind of a metric to apply it to these cases, though. Feeling up one kid shouldn't get you the chair. A clear pattern of behavior, established over years, however, should, especially when a large number of children have been affected. So where is the line drawn? 10 kids? 100? 1000? Does anyone really think someone like this can be rehabilitated? Nope. While I seriously doubt he'll get the death penalty, we can take comfort in the fact that this motherfucker is definitely getting a shiv in his back not long after he gets to jail. CheesalaIsGood 0 Report post Posted June 21, 2005 Rehab? I have my doubts about it as well. Once people like this are adults, to reverse an obvious metal disorder is probably never going to happen. People should be cautious about throwing the death penalty into this debate for the same reason as any murder rap. What if you have the wrong guy?
Jingus 0 Report post Posted June 21, 2005 Has nobody here done the math and noticed that it's almost completely impossible for this man to have molested that many children? If you work it out, he would've had to molest 2-3 kids per day EVERY day of his free adult life. Obviously a lot of those are fantasies only.
Dr. Tom 0 Report post Posted June 22, 2005 I thought the number was dubious, but even if it's inflated by a factor of six, this cocksucker needs to sit in a nice, sparky chair for a few minutes.

Suppose he got a job as a scout leader or a teacher or something for a while. He theoretically could've molested as many as 20-30 kids in a day, let alone 2-3. Dobbs 3K 0 Report post Posted June 23, 2005 Well, molestation is a pretty broad term. Theoretically, if he was simply watching a kid or something, not even touching them, that could still constitute "molestation."

Jingus 0 Report post Posted July 9, 2005 My point was, why are people assuming that this guy really raped every one of those 36,000 kids? People just throw down a "kill that fucker" post without ever bothering to actually pay attention to the facts about how things work in the real world. Molesting 2 or 3 completely new kids every single day is impossible. And unless he was having hundred-kid naked daycare orgies, there's no way even half of those incidents were 1.real or 2.anything illegal. Also, this guy was apparently a multiple-time convicted offender in several states. What the fuck was he doing running around free in the first place? If there's ever been a textbook case of an unrepentant incurable sexual predator, this is it.
Guest Agent of Oblivion Report post Posted July 9, 2005 Ever look at the recidivism rates for child molesters? Locally, it's over 85%, I don't know about nationally.
Ced 0 Report post Posted July 11, 2005 The man has a clear record of being a child molester in several states over a long period of time. If anybody needs to be put away or put down immediately, it's this guy.
