Guest *KNK* Report post Posted July 10, 2005 1) THE RING CREW EXPRESS of DUNN & MARCOS and DIXIE over LACEY'S ANGELS of CHEECH & DERANGED and VORDELL WALKER when MARCOS pinned CHEECH 2) MATT STRIKER over "THE KILLER" KRUEL 3) THE CARNAGE CREW of LOC & DEVITO became the 13th ROH Tag Team Champions over BJ WHITMER & JIMMY JACOBS when DEVITO pinned JACOBS All of the participants for the 4CS were in the ring and the lights went out!!! CM PUNK appeared in the balcony of the New Yorker Hotel and told Roderick Strong he was going to give him a shot tonight, but not a title shot. Mick Foley came out and pressed Punk into the balcony railing saying that he needed to give Strong a title shot, not just a match. Punk eventually was convinced by Foley's aggressiveness. The 4CS was then a 3-way, until ALEX SHELLEY appeared and joined the fray. 4) JIMMY RAVE won a Four Corner Survival and Pure Title Shot on 7/16 over JAMES GIBSON, ALEX SHELLEY, and AZRIEAL when Azrieal was pinned 5) SAMOA JOE pinned AUSTIN ARIES after a MuscleBuster to retain the Pure Title -Aries hit a 450 splash late in the match and got a HUGE nearfall. Joe saved himself by using his 3rd rope break. Joe came back to secure the win. 6) NIGEL MCGUINNESS beat COLT CABANA in a EUROPEAN RULES MATCH, 2 rounds to 1 7) HOMICIDE pinned JAY LETHAL -The crowd was ELECTRIC for the match and nearly split 50/50 for each wrestler. Grim Reefer interfered on 'Cide's behalf and entered a chain into the match. Lethal bled. 'Cide hit his lariat for the win. 8) CM PUNK retained his ROH WORLD TITLE over RODERICK STRONG using the ropes for leverage on the pinfall -Pre-match, Samoa Joe and CM Punk had a staredown, with Joe in the balcony looking down on Punk from the ring! And I love the idea of the Carnage Crew with the tag belts. I hope they are ready to surprise some people because a good chunk of the ROH board is annoyed/ pissed that they won the belts. Garth 0 Report post Posted July 10, 2005 I'm really loving the Punk angle with everyone knowing he's leaving but no one knows when. Certainly makes for an interesting situation, more or less every crowd will be on the edge of their seats almost sure that they will be seeing a title change that night in front of them. Very clever booking I feel. I'm some what dismayed to see that Whitmer & Jacobs are no longer tag champs, mainly though it's my dislike towards the Carnage Crew thats given me this attitude. I also feel a lot more could have been done with the reign of Whitmer & Jacobs, have them be almost unbeatable in the tag team scene, have them be put over on commentary as being the perfect combination of strength and speed which makes them so hard to put down.
