Guest *KNK* Report post Posted July 18, 2005 Sean William Scott will always be Steve Stifler. Most of the American Pie characters fit that model actually. Like when I hear Shannon Elizabeth talk without a funky European accent, it sounds wrong to me. The entire cast of That 70's Show are their characters. What is Fez' real name? I have no idea, I just call the guy Fez. Tobey Maguire is always going to be Spider-Man. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Not with me. Maguire isn't in that Adam West, Christopher Reeves panthelon. I can still see him as whoever he plays in any of his roles. In fact, name Maguire and i think of his character from Wonder Boys before Spiderman.
Nighthawk 0 Report post Posted July 18, 2005 Actually, I do refer to James Avery as "Uncle Phil", but I could buy him in another role, not that he gets them. Cause he was Shredder too, you know.

Placebo Effect 0 Report post Posted July 18, 2005 The guy who played Urkel comes to mind. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Jaleel White. He was great in Big Fat Liar playing himself. The awesome Paul Giamatti, playing the asshole agent, calls him Urkel and says he'll never work again. "I've got Urkel money!" And he drives away.

SuperJerk 0 Report post Posted July 18, 2005 Anyone that was a major character on any Star Trek series pre Voyager. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Poor LeVar Burton. Dude spent 10 years trying to get people to quit calling him Kunta Kinte, only to go through the rest of his life getting called "Geordi".
Guest Vitamin X Report post Posted July 18, 2005 Topher Grace will always be Eric Forman. It totally killed In Good Company for me. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Same here, as goes for any of the characters on That 70's Show. It was kind of difficult to buy him as doing the role he was doing, mostly because he used the same mannerisms and dictations in both characters, although I still like him as an actor. NoCalMike 0 Report post Posted July 19, 2005 Denise Richards will always be the wet dream from Wild Things. Shannon Elizabeth will always be Nadia from American Pie Bruce Willis will always be John McClane. Sean William Scott will always be Stifler.
Guest Evolution Report post Posted July 19, 2005 Denise Richards will always be the wet dream from Wild Things. Shannon Elizabeth will always be Nadia from American Pie Bruce Willis will always be John McClane. Sean William Scott will always be Stifler. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I actually disagree with all of those except Sean William Scott. Johnny Knoxville will likely never escape the stigma of "that guy from Jackass", and he'll likely never take a role to refuse it.
Zetterberg is God 0 Report post Posted July 19, 2005 Whenever Michael Chiklis was on the screen in Fantastic Four, I just thought Vic Mackey. Same thing happens whenever I see Kiefer Sutherland or James Gandolfini in films.
the max 0 Report post Posted July 19, 2005 I disagree about Kiefer, since he's taken a wide variety of roles throughout his career. His role on 24 is his biggest thing now, but he's had a lot of characters that are memorable.

Nighthawk 0 Report post Posted July 19, 2005 When I think Kiefer Sutherland I think ringleader of young hoodlums. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Yeah, me too. This must be a generational thing. Chiklis on the Shield was fighting his Commish typecast only to get stuck again, apparently.
AndrewTS 0 Report post Posted July 19, 2005 Morgan Freeman. He's always the wise old black man. It would be nice to see him play a psycho/rapist/pedophile/dumbass at some point. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Career-wise, it's often not bad to be playing the same character all the time. For example--Tom Cruise and Will Smith. Denzel Washington was getting a little fed up with it, though, and has tried to do other types of roles easily. Speaking of him, he co-starred in a movie called Ricochet with John Lithgow. Denzel was a cop and Lithgow was a crazed serial killer who put together a sick, elaborate revenge scheme after getting out of jail. Not too bad a movie, but seeing the old guy from 3rd Rock battle a guy to the death in a prison swordfight--using telephone books taped to their bodies as armor--is really damn funny. Guest news_gimmick Report post Posted July 19, 2005 Bronson Pinchot will always be Balki Bartokomous to me. Whenever I see the Surreal Life lately, I just want him to break out that accent. I think that would be tremendous. Tom
muzz 0 Report post Posted July 19, 2005 Hugh Laurie as House. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I, unfortunantly, haven't seen House, but he's done so many other great things I can't imagine only seeing him as one character. His work on Blackadder alone is so outrageous.
Masked Man of Mystery 0 Report post Posted July 20, 2005 Patrick Stewart will always be Captain Picard to me, and I just think he looks downright odd with hair now, even on this DVD I saw that had him doing Shakespeare, which is his specialty, if I'm not mistaken
