Feedback for 7/21 HeldDOWN~!

Recommended Posts

Skimming through as I posted it, another good show. Good womens three way action from KC and another good main event, this time from Hoff. LTP looks to be shaping up.

What I read of the show was great. Great job by Hoff on the ME. Adding Axel to commentary was a nice touch.

For my stuff, the match was rushed shit, but I enjoyed writing the promo very much, it was one of the better ones I have written. Hope 'yall enjoyed it.

Okay, comments in the hope of comments to follow:

Hoffzarian! *marks* Putting me over is the new putting yourself over, apparantly. I like Hoff defending the #1 Contendership, even though obviously he's not losing to anyone...but, I like it nonetheless. With something like that, anyone can step up...where-as the World Title should really be for contenders and contenders only.

More Originals build. Nice to see it still being a mix of people, rather than just one select group.

X-Title. Yay for me being put over some more. I'm glad PK decided to use Wright, because I'm having enough trouble writing Rodez's matches at the moment, as you'll see soon enough on the show. Nice little match and some build for the future, which is always good.

Ooh, PRL being an ass. Miami Florida? Phff! Refusing a 24/7 title shot...you know, I thought this last time and forgot to mention it. Isn't the 24/7 Title on the line, 24/7? Was it ever? My memory sucked, but I seem to remember it was at one point. Maybe someone stopped that, I dunno.

SJ is back. Again, another dynamic for the Originals stuff.

I love Whodunnit's. We need to create a Samoan chick for when the bounty's finally collected. "I did it...for d'Rock." Valerie and Constance are Rain and Lacey? Thanks for finally giving a picture reference. For some reason, I kept imagining them as The Glamour Girls when I read their matches, if only because of the names. And Jenny as Rockin' Robin. Yeesh.

Hey, my match. This came out much better than expected so, you know, read it. Now.

So now, Axel's beating Kobashi? Eh. If Chono can be HI-YAH Champ, Kobashi can get beat by Axel I guess. Yay for me getting put over again! Another nice promo, some more build for AS...oh, and here's someone interrupting to ask for a match. Didn't we see that earlier? Seeing as we're all recycling plot devices, I guess it's cool if I form my new stable, The Thrillorgy then.

"Madder than a wet hen" has to be the worst imagery since "like a sack of wet mice". I'm liking CSI. You've got the comedy in with the serious stuff, which is good.

More Originals dynamics now, with Dan and Zack still not getting along. This Originals thing is really going well.

World Title match? On TV? In the middle of the show? Cornette's gonna be pissed! HI-YAH Super Heavyweight Title? What's next? HI-YAH North American Title? Uhm, yeah, decent match cut short by interference by CWM. I smell some storylining going on.

Boy, Brodie sure does say bleep a lot. Short but sweet...and CC's promo wasn't bad either. :D Well, somebody's got to fill Frigid's shoes now he's gone and Zack's now he's fawning over real people. And Leena. And that Kelly chick.

Crappy match from me. Mental note: Don't try to write two matches for one show, especially if you only start them Thursday morning.

Hey, it's a LC guy. X wants more respect.

PRL

Well, you can start your path by making up your own catchphrases.

OMGPOTKETTLEBLACK~!

Short but sweet stuff from The Docs too. And no, that's not a comment on the writer this time.

Nice to see character direction for X. The Legend Killer of the OAOAST, if you will.

And a great match from Hoff to end the show.

I remember winning it from Crystal by hitting her with a chair and pinning her in her locker room before one of her matches with Malibu, so, yeah, it was. Can't say as to whether it still is, though.

I liked it, especially the little touch about Axel having a generic entrance theme, that was cute. Solid show, I just wish I coulda done more to help with Otaku's segment, but I had trouble getting to Ed

Not to sound like a whiney bitch who has weird online obsessions and kills boards for no particular reason...some more, regular feedback from people would be great.

I'm not one to talk, I know, but the past few weeks it's one or two people commenting on each segment, even just a sentence, and that's it.

I'd like everyone to know I'm sick right now, so I deserve sympathy. I dunno in what form but I do.

So the show, huh? Yeah it was cool. Let's see...

- I assume PK did the opening and I always like that little recap bit, I try to do it when something big goes down, I believe I did it for Tony's win, etc. PK is earning his stripes as a poster, which again I mean, it's not hard, but doing it well takes some nominal effort. So good job guy.

Man that Hoff guy is awesome. Yes I agree. Oh me too. I can't wait for his match with Some Guy, that'll rock. Yeah indeed. I bet it's the best match ever. Me too.

- PK reminded me of AA this week, and let me tell you something, there's worse things to be reminded of. He's a straight shooter and he even acknowledges he's not Hoff when it comes to being a social butterfly. Knight does have (let me be serious for a tick here) that Benoit sort of charisma and I like it a lot. Good promo.

- I dunno why but "Creep" seems like an odd choice of theme for CW. But anyway. "KENNY ROGERS'D" was the best. This was a good match that served its purpose. Knight looked like a man with no quit so to speak. One thing that did seem out of place to me was Leon begging CW on. Leon seems too smart to risk his career like that. But, it worked in the context of the match, I guess.

- Good little PRL/Otaku seg. Things tape delayed from exotic locales like that are always a good way to add variety, so long as they're not overused. PRL was on his game.

- I liked the SJ promo, he's a good talker, but it seemed like he slipped back and forth between whiny and angry. Just a minor criticism.

- I had to laugh at the picture used for Drek Stone. Covered in WWE logos...heh. But a good little segment further hyping a few names in the Women's division, and furthering the story arc. Bueno.

- I do like that song. In spite of myself.

- STDDT. MONEY I tell you. Um, this women's match was a really good match. I kinda wasn't feeling it at first, seemed like a lot of action without rhyme, but it came together a litle better as it went on, made sense, had some hot sequences, and a killer finish. PPV quality stuff.

- DAMN Axel cut a hot promo. Perfectly in character, and I could feel the intensity. Dare I say the best of his title reign. Awesome job, Adam.

- Also a good promo by Dan Black, made a lot of sense, and yet it still conveyed that Dan ain't nothin' to be fucked with. ....Yo. Word, B. But yeah I liked it.

- Wow, I thought Axel/Gunner would be a throwaway but they actually were getting into a nice groove. I enjoyed what we got. Wouldn't be a bad match to see down the road, mate....

- I didn't buy Jenny as a badass as much this week as I did last week, but the Jenny/Brodie segment got the job done and moreover, I am downright JAZZED for that match. F'real.

- Before I review the HI-YAH title match in sum, lemme say that the nod to the 20 count under HI-YAH rules was a nice touch. I love the attention to detail. Anyway, a nice little match and I was so happy that Leon seemed to have the upper hand most of the way through. Good to see the rising star, well, rise. Nice ending but see here, this is what I meant earlier about the X-Title match. First Leon is egging CW on, then he ignores him? Doesn't jive. The ending was creative nonetheless, with Wright finding a way to save Bo's belt without violating the stip. Bravo.

- I, too, laughed at PR telling VX to make up his own catchphrases, but truth be told, this was actually a very good promo that put PR over as being a dick, yet wanting what's best for the Crew. Put VX over as well, although to what end I'm not sure. But hey, new characters, or rather new angles for characters, is good by me.

- So the Docs are back....well okay then. I'm interested to see where this mystery men angle goes.

- Okay now see, THIS is what I'm talking about! Resolution to VX's earlier sentiments, and the return of a legend in a very creative way. I dug this and shockingly, I'm looking forward to a Vitamin X program. Awesome, guys.

So good show in all, nothing groundbreaking but some very cool stuff and it built LTP well. Looks like it could be a good show. As for me, I can't emplhasize enough how much I'd love to hear anything, positive or negative, on Hoff/Some Guy. I put a lot of work into it and I felt it turned out really well, so I hope you all enjoyed it too.

I just got the chance to read the last two shows and I enjoyed the hell out of them. I'm loving the Originals angle. I like that everybody seems to be getting worked into to it.

Alf and Hoff, you guys did a great job on the matches. Alf, you had me laughing out loud through out the match.

Hoff, I liked how you had my character go heel. It made perfect sense and the loss to Alf the week before added more reasoning.

One of these weeks I'll win a match (one where I'm not teamed with Zack, that is.)

I was going to wait until I feedbacked the entire show before posting, but KC really inspired me ( :) ), so I present feedback of what I've read so far. More to come when(ever) I finish writing my stuff for this week.

Read every promo, all of which were highly enjoyable, especially Axel's which I think is the best he's ever done. Honorable mentions to Hoff's promo and the backstage segment with PK and Zack.

Good Wright-PK match.

While I don't know much about Kobashi, except hearing he's a helluva wrestler, I liked the "footage" of his and Axel's match. As Hoff has pointed out, the little things are super cool.

Backstory! In WWE land that would of never have been brought up. Vince McMahon blushed at Zack's revisionist history during his promo with Dan. :D

"This time I want to feel your bones break, your muscles tear, see your blood on my hands and hear you whimper in pain." Awesome line.

Even though Axel vs. Gunner was used to setup the CWM angle, good action while it lasted.

Normally I'd enjoy the thought of Josh getting beat up, but the guy has grown on me as a PBP man. Helluva lot better than Cole in real life, and Cole's been in WWE for nearly 10 years now. Just a random thought.

Luckily I didn't send the stuff involving The Heavenly Rockers this week because we would of had two segments involving masked men. Yeah, that's a semi-spoiler for this coming week. At least the Docs are back! ::Bumps and Grinds::

Badass ME. Something new. Don't remember seeing us doing many "during the break" bits in the past, so that was neat. Cool finish, with the SomeKick countered into the Anklelock.

Call it getting caught up in the heat of the moment on Rodez' part. I had to emphasize that no-contact thing somehow, after all.

I'd leave feedback but right now I'm just back into it and don't know where anything is going really. Once I begin to understand the feuds again I'll be leaving some feedback.
